Very good mechanical replacement of the old CB250 Nighthawk (234cc) retired a decade ago. Dual disks, monoshock, ABS available, trip features on dash, button cancel indicators, fuel injection and water cooled. 2.5gal tank is miserable though. For a tank as physically big as that one (all the plastics) it should be five gallons. The old Nighthawk was 4.5. If they'd package that in a Honda 1970s retro look too like the Triumphs (dual traditional fenders, straight seat, some cargo rails, upright sitting) then I'd buy one next year. I no longer need a big displacement bike. I just run a hundred fifty miles on country loops or on quick town errands. I personally don't like the CBR semi sport shape over the CB or CL design, since this (Honda) is a mild bike, but i know most buyers do. Doubt if they will though since they have the Rebel. The Rebel though looks like it was tossed together by a blind man in a shed, this looks well designed.

John Valeriano I think it would be a perfect fit. I'm 6'4 just under 6'5 and honestly it feels like I'm on a normal sized bike. It definitely isn't "small" , it's much much larger than a grom but it isn't a 1000cc supersport lol
Michael Scholz Most things you just do yourself. Oil changes are insanely easy, then all you really need to do is clean/wax your chain regularly and keep an eye on tire pressure. Esnesio Oh yes definitely! Not many parts are made for this bike just yet since it's newer. But next spring when the weather warms up I will certainly do a fender delete! I will try to do a tutorial too. Does not seem too hard
The rear fender is always removable, but the license plate is what you need to adjust to still remain visible from the back. Their should be bolts at the base that connects to the tail & some probably inside the trunk space. Just need a kit to place the plate
LeggoMyWebos I'm just looking for a fender eliminator kit that seems legit that will still include rear turn signals. Checked out zeed or whatever online but it's all from china or something with crazy shipping times.
om prakash I have only rode it for maybe a few hours around town and stuff. Never took it out for a long highway trip. It's very comfortable, rides great, and amazing on gas. I'm tall so at 6'5 I need to take a little break every hour or so just to stretch the hips because I'm so tall. A "normal" height person will have zero issue. Love the bike.
Sheldon orgill Yes, I'm quite tall and weigh about 230lb. No bike will ever really fit me but so be it! As far as power, I couldn't ask for more at the time being. As a first bike, it's more than enough power. I've gotten it up to only about 65 so far because I'm still in the break-in period, so extended trips on expressways should be avoided at first. The bike will have no issue getting upwards of 100+ mph. In normal daily traffic, you easily get to 40mph within the first 2-3 gears. 6 speed is plenty. But I've gotten it up very quickly within seconds. The power band feels more mid range, once it hits maybe 5k rpms, you feel the instant torque really pull you. Can easily be a commuter bike and very easily handle highway speeds. Wheelies are no issue either, shhhhhhh.....;)
alisacalin7474 the vibration isn't bad at all. The seat is a bit firm though, definitely a sport bike type of firm so don't expect a cruiser or Harley Davidson type plush feeling on your ass lol. Much less weight, the 300R have a dry weight of 140 Kg, considering than the previous F model was a little more heavier, this one have better power to weight radio, Fuel injection, all is led, main lights, blinkers, stop, also have an imu sensor included, Honda should bring more colors, red and black only, in white would be awesome.
Really nice bike but why do they always put such huge exhausts on those models just does not sit well with the slim, sleek frame of the bike. The opening of the exhaust is so tiny but the covering of it is huge... 🤨
@@koofdome many thanks for the reply as I am thinking to buy one .even on a long tour say about 250kms in a single day with intermediate breaks , the driver and pillion are comfortable in this seat . ? I mean I want to know whether it can be a tourer ?

@@jckcc That's true, it's a little contradictory what honda thinks about the mexican market, the version than they bring to mexico, don't have ABS, also came a little overpriced, the bmw 310R cost less and comes with ABS as a default option, the only thing than i'll dont like about the 310R are the very very ugly stop light than have it, dont have style, the 300R have style in everything. but the overprice would kill the interest in potential buyers and they would go to the bmw instead or the apache 310RR sport of TVS, than uses the same engine as the bmw variant.

😢 I found my commuter Motorcycle. Search is over. Brand new at 6k...last me 7 years easily. Save probably 35k using this as a commuter
Good video thanks
How does it seat height has ??
VIJAY KUMAR About 31.5 inches
What up with the indicators?
Did you take out the fender ?
Afridi Khasim i have not, bike is away for winter. I want to find a reputable brand that sells a fender eliminator kit first.
@@koofdome keep us posted when you modify it
What a beauty
Kory Vongsavanh I recently traded it in for the 2018 CB650F and man what a difference. The 650F is definitely a better bike.
I was planning to buy the cb300r and needed the push.
What's the difference between this and cb300f?
Much less weight, the 300R have a dry weight of 140 Kg, considering than the previous F model was a little more heavier, this one have better power to weight radio, Fuel injection, all is led, main lights, blinkers, stop, also have an imu sensor included, Honda should bring more colors, red and black only, in white would be awesome.
Really nice bike but why do they always put such huge exhausts on those models just does not sit well with the slim, sleek frame of the bike. The opening of the exhaust is so tiny but the covering of it is huge... 🤨
It's always that way :( for emissions laws
You can always change it anyway
yes but i cannot find a company that sells an aftermarket exhaust specifically for this bike. ملكة العرب Ramshie
Check www.revzilla.com they have few for this model and some other parts
How much does it cost?
Alpha God $4995.00
@@koofdome that's close to 3.5 lack INR.costlier than think Royal Enfield 650 twins
isn't the ABS mendetory in USA?
No
That's a great looking bike
How about pillion seat comfort ?
Vivek Selvadurai my passengers never complained
@@koofdome many thanks for the reply as I am thinking to buy one .even on a long tour say about 250kms in a single day with intermediate breaks , the driver and pillion are comfortable in this seat . ? I mean I want to know whether it can be a tourer ?
Vivek Selvadurai i wouldn't call it that. It's a small sports bike. The seat is firm and hurts your ass after a while just like almost any of these sport bones. I would look into something else for touring.
@@koofdome thanks a lot mate.much appreciated for your video and replies

Doesnt it have gear position indicator

My next bike.
you've missed a golden opportunity...
you said nothing about how it rides. seating position. top speed. low end power. performance of the stock tires. agility.
this quick look could have easily included some opinions a bit deeper than how much you like the looks.
John David Dunson it’s a light bike, really good handling. I’ve had mine nearly a year when it was first released in the U.K.
@@HelloWorld-sg3bt of course it'll have really good handling compared to most bikes because it's so light... but that doesn't tell me if it's well balanced or feels like it would rather lean in or resists leaning... etc. things like that.
i'm not asking for me. i'm just trying to give constructive criticism to the channel. if i were to buy one of these, it would have been the 1000, and it would have to have been before i bought my Z900.
Nice bike.
This or the 390 Duke?
doc doti I personally could not give insight in that with this being my first bike
to my personal opinion both are great but this one looks sexier definitely
Did you find it hard to fill the gas tank? The gas splashes back on mine like crazy because of the bar on the inside of the opening.
Ans L Thank you for commenting. That's very common and happened to me too at first lol. You have to just hold the gas nozzle at an angle kind of, and slowly squeeze it. Not like a car. You'll get the hang of it! Make sure you clean up any gas on the paint right away
@@koofdome I own many bikes and this is the first to do this. I'm thinking about taking the tank out and removing it. I don't see a point to it. None of my other bikes have this.
Ans L Well at least we know we aren't the only ones then. I've managed over 2-3 trips to the gas station to ease on the nozzle until it is fully pressed otherwise it first sprays back! Let me know how that works out for you and if it was easy or hard to do
So queria saber o pq a honda nao traz essa moto pro brasil em

Looks exactly like a bigger grom lol
but better than a grom, this bike came out before the grom it's an old bike that honda remade and brought back to make it more modern. It's a cafe racer
@@GrowingDownUnder lol this is not a cafe racer
@@MIKExMASSACREx yes it is, the original CB came out in the 70's and this is the same bike that they remade to look more like a grom but it's still a cafe racer

I’m torn between this and a rebel 300... I don’t like the f version of this bike.. all that extra plastic looks tacky to me...
sam sharp well, the rebel will definitely be more comfortable if you like to cruise longer trips just because of the sitting position and "harley" style design. This is a small sports bike
koofdome that’s true I just love the way this bike looks and I would probably use it at a daily driver to work..and when I’m off I’d probably only ride it no longer than an hour orn2
sam sharp go to a dealer and sit on both!! Don't feel rushed or awkward, ask the salesperson to give you some time and not pester you. Just sit on the bikes for 15-20 minutes see if you develop any cramps or sore asscheeks lol
koofdome true! My dealer has a spot in the back for test drives for people that doesn’t have a motorcycle endorsement.. I’ve been riding dirt bikes for a while and want to get a bike so I’m thinking about going and test driving in the back 😂
This is literally a bigger grom
Chris Villanueva it really is
I just recently bought a grom, I should have bought this lol
Chris Villanueva always room for upgrades ;)
Could you tell me what you will do to remove that ugly long rear fender? If I get this. Removing those antenna mirrors and the rear long fender will be the first two mods
Chris Villanueva I actually will be uploading an update video in a few weeks. Bike looks totally different now. Windscreen, fender eliminator, bar end mirrors, small sport tail bag. I'll keep updates
The fender eliminator I got from t-rex racing

@@koofdome It's about 1500 USD more here in Mexico. What kills it for me is that, at a price point of 6000 USD, it should have ABS, but it doesn't. We have clearly passed that 400 USD more for better security threshold. Even a damn 1000 USD scooter here has ABS. Comes to show how much of a joke this market is to Honda.
