I happened to be watching JBG going down the road and following on Google when New Years came around here in Okla. I live out in the country so some neighbors down the road a ways who had younger married sons blew some kind of explosives off for a little while. It is usually pretty quiet around here until summer time.
At 21.00 on your video when you're climbing the hill talking about not pulling over to the shoulder: in summer of 2017 I was driving up that hill when a car right in front of me began to catch fire. It was driven by a young lady (it was a land rover) and she tried to go to the next exit but after I passed her and before I went over the rise, I looked in the rear view mirror and plumes of smoke were pouring out of the car. I doubt if she ever made it to the next exit. She had slowed down but still traveling at least 40 mph when I last saw her. I kept thinking about her and her parents and other loved one's and wondered if she ever made it out alive.

Just west of Memphis (in Arkansas) I think it was the 2nd or 3rd exit in AR, I stopped at an Exxon station for fuel (not much around but the station) went inside to pay and found the most marvelous fried chicken I ever ate. There were a couple of picnic tables on the west side of the store where my family enjoyed the treat. If I ever get that way again will surely stop.

Could edit a days video into 1 for RUclips, similar to Trucker Josh, 1 quality video per day. Parking on the shoulder except in emergency is illegal. Semi-trucks do it all the time, expeciall at or near ramps. You do not know what the situation in that car was, he was near the outside edge of the shoulder at least. It would be courteous if passing motorist slowed down when passing a disabled (stopped) vehicle on the shoulder.
Hope John has reached Dallas by now (Jan. 02, 2019), last night radar was showing frozen precipitation (Sleet or snow) on radar about 35 miles West of Dallas, radar showing it was extending into Oklahoma. SNOW forecast for Western Arkansas by NOAA into Thursday.
I had a Chinese dinner at a buffet than I went home took a nap and then got up about 9:30pm and stayed up till 1:30am. for new year's celebration at 12am I blew my train horn.

Just watched the video of you working on your snowblower and you couldn’t figure out why it was running with no key to shut off and started moving the metal housing around and I was yelling don’t do it and wham you got a shock we kinda laughed at your expense.thanks for being clean language I watch with kids.
