    My favorite is definitely the 3D Holga, Years ago I picked up a spare just because there are non existent now. The images that come out of it are unreal when properly mounted and viewed!

      Nice! We have to find one and try it out soon--we're working on a 3D camera video.

    Great video! I've seen one or two Holga cameras in Marketplace but had no idea the kind of camera they are. Watching this video pretty much gave me an overall first impression on what this camera can do. Very straightforward yet informative! Keep it up! ❤

    The TLR probably helps compose more accurately. Love the unpredictable nature of the Holga, but not so much when it comes to composition. I like to know roughly where my subject is in the frame. I tend to point the Holga up and to the right if I'm not paying attention. Sometimes even when I am. A center view finder model might have been a more practical compromise. I love the centered viewfinder on the 135. Thanks for the video. Viva La Holga

      Yeah, we do the same composition trick too. Always great to hear from another Holga fan!

    the main advantage of shooting photos at waist level (using a TLR camera for example, or almost any camera set on a tripod at a medium height or whatever) is that the classic 'normal' view of people in standing position without having their height look deformed or anything would be when the camera is at the photographer's waist level ...
    another good use for such an option, ie a second VF lens on top of the taking lens, would be when taking close up shots of flowers or insects and so on at a very low level ... that's what some digital cameras try to do by offering a rotating backside LV LCD screen for example ...
    such a topside VF also comes in handy when taking a photo of a subject blocked from view in a crowded place by holding the camera upside down above the head and looking through the VF from down under instead of through an SLR's eyepiece at head level ...
    last but not least, most on-top VFs on TLR cameras for example can turn into an eye-level one as well, with some of them offering a reverse VF attachment that would make a TLR work just like an SLR ...
    the only disadvantage of TLR cameras is their rather high Parallax Error due to the different axis of the two taking and viewing lenses placement on the camera, especially at closer distances ... of course, that can also be compensated for using special tripod adapters and markers in the VF and so on ...

    The Holga TLR is really great for shooting with a Polaroid Back (Peel Apart) since the whole Polaroid back actually covers the back of the camera AND the viewfinder making it impossible to compose photos properly. I mean, sure the Polaroid back comes with a little square viewfinder thing that you stick onto a regular holga, but it's pretty inaccurate.

    Which one should I get, the GN, FN OR CFN? I’m finally getting one but I’m torn. I really like sharper photos so my first choice is the GN but I also like having the built in flash. Thanks

    • @FotodioxInc

      You should get the GFN, has a glass lens and a flash.

  • @dedclownsRfunny

    I’ve just been given a Holga 120 FN, but above the flash there is no dial on top

      The Holga 120 CFN has the colored filters for the flash. The FN just has the standard flash.

    Hi, I bought Holga external flash along with this camera. However, it is working only with my Holgas. Not working on my analogue and digital cameras with hotshoe mounts. Is Holga external flash made only for working on Holgas?

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  Год назад

      Weird, we don't have any experience with the external Holga flash, so we couldn't say for sure. I'd recommend googling around and seeing if anyone else is having the same issue.

    Is there no 120 Holga that has a lens wider than the 60mm? Are there no 35mm focal lengths or close to it?

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  Год назад +2

      Not that I'm aware of. You can use a Holga .5X Wide Angle Adapter, you'd just have to buy it used since they no longer manufacture it.

    Whats the difference between the CFN and GCFN?

    • @FotodioxInc

      The G stands for glass lens--the GCFN has a glass lens rather than the plastic one in the CFN.

    Ummm, the waist level finder is useful when you don't want to draw attention to yourself. People often don't realize you are taking a photo when you use a camera that way.

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  3 года назад +2

      Yeah, forgot to mention that. The problem is when you're holding this weird bright blue camera, it's hard to not draw attention :) But I suppose a black Holga TLR would be a good way to do Holga 120 street photography.
