My senior year of college we had an albino squirrel that lived in our backyard. We named him Moby(after the white whale) and it was so delightful seeing him run up and down the trees. One of my roommates always said he was worried the other squirrels would be mean to him because he looked different.
I wear clothes to death. Literally until they have multiple extra holes. Granted when they get torn I will only wear them at home as a lazy outfit, but I will wear it till even the cat will be like wtf.
I had to retire my (winter)shoes this year, the sole fell off after 15 years of use. My other pair is getting pretty worn now after 12 years. Then there is my Dimmu Borgir hoodie i bought at a concert in 2006...

I raise chickens, and I can confirm that they still have some scary dinosaur traits inherent to their behavior! I nearly lost my left eye (my "good" eye!) to a very hard peck. My entire eyeball was blood red for 2 months, and it looked horrific. Good thing it was just before Halloween so I could tell people I just really committed to looking like a zombie this year. One of our 8 hens was a very sweet girl though, and she was our favorite. We would take her out of the pen and bring her inside, where she loved sitting in my son's lap like a kitten. A few weeks ago, we found her dead, the other chickens attacked her and ripped her apart for no apparent reason, unless it was jealousy? I now wear goggles when I open their pen.
I have a coworker who will casually drop that his mom is dead in conversations, and every single time, I reply “ _WHY_ do you feel the need to _do that_ ?!”
My youngest son died when he was 19, and it was 7 years ago. I mention him regularly because he's always kinda with me. For people that didn't know him, I have to say 'my son who died'. Your co-worker misses his mom. Next time, just ask about her, what kind of person she was :)

The people with the sextuplets must have been having fertility treatments. Interesting info: Insurance will pay for fertility drugs, but not for in-vitro fertilization. Not financially sound - fertility treatments often result in multiple fetuses, which can cost millions of dollars for treatment of tiny preemies. In-vitro treatments are usually expensive to begin with, $10,000 or more per cycle, but generally only result in one or two fetuses. Now which is the better option? Plus those tiny preemies can have life-long health issues due to being born so small.
Wow! So ridiculous! I know the fertility treatments are 'only' around $17-23k in New York, but ins covers that, with parents covering another $20Kish for in-vitro implantation. I can imagine how expensive a lifetime of treatment PER child can cost. Is this a prime example of 'penny wise, pound foolish' (I apologize for writing 'pounds' but that is the saying. I'm so glad you went back on what you said about having multiples being fun. I carried twins and managed to carry full term (no clue how.. I was put on bed rest 11 weeks into the pregnancy because of the heightened preterm risk). I always laugh when folks find out I have twins and go "aww I want twins.." and in the dark place of my brain the scary voice pops in with "no you don't" lol
@@laramaaike3050 eh. I didn't exactly follow it. I physically cannot be still for that long. It hurts my joints and muscles far far too much and honestly my body kept telling me I need to move. I was in Seattle at the time so I used to basically just walk everywhere. Don't get me wrong if I felt like I was pushing it or whatnot I'd take the free rides. But that said I remember all the ob's at the hospital getting kinda irritated with me when I'd come in cuz they'd take my BP and it would be elevated any time I walked there from my apartment. Under normal circumstances it was literally a 10 minute walk for me. Later in my pregnancy though I gave myself a half hours leeway to take my time and stop and rest if needed. But yeah. I did not follow those orders lmao. Matter of fact I remember going to a visit. Being told I need to be admitted. (this happened twice in the pregnancy.. once for low placental fluid in baby b and once because I started dilating after the first ones meds and she could feel baby B's bottom lol.) But then walking home first to gather stuff, then walking back to outpatient and admitting myself. And then when my scheduled C-section day finally arrived, I walked to the hospital for that one too. XD
I would die if I had twins. Took care of a few in my day... when you calm one the other acts up, or when one cries they both cry, it was crazy... daycare was rough. Lol

That cat is either a Selkirk Rex, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, or LaPerm. I've had a Cornish Rex I got from a breeder that said she wasn't 'show quality', and they are those non allergenic cats with short, tiny hairs. That kitten looks like a Selkirk Rex to me. You're right about waiting for you to get home, but not just dog, Charlotte. My cats do as well. Remember...our furry/feathered family are only part of our lives...but we are ALL of their lives. Especially when it is an ex stray, or from a shelter. They have already had it proven to them, that some humans WILL leave you somewhere and never come back for you. That always makes me tear up. ALL my cats have been strays or from a shelter, or from someone giving them away. The only one was the above gotten from a breeder, for free. She was not show quality, and couldn't be used for breeding either because they didn't want the undesirable trait to be passed on. So I took that little grey kitten and named her Natasha before someone less reliable took her.

As an electrician, I've never mended work clothes more than I do now. I realize it's going to get torn, shredded, stained..... and I've hit a whole new mindset. Now I hand mend regular and fancy clothes. I try to make my wardrobe work with each setting... come up with creative ways to spice things up. It was once so normal to see and encourage people to buy that extra top because it's "so cute on you". I'm glad my eyes had been opened forever ago.
The only time sloths are fast is when they’re in the water, they can literally swim miles!.. and they climb down the tree once a week to poop, and that’s when they’re not at risk from predators.. they move so slow they actually have algae grow on them.. and it’s actually healthy for them

With multiple babies, especially triplets and up, there usually isn’t enough room for all of them to grow properly, so they’re often premies. That’s especially true if Mom is kinda small. The sextuplets were most likely barely above two pounds each
My mom planted sunflowers in front of the shed thinking they would look really pretty facing the Sun... However our shed was white and it reflected more sunlight than the sunflowers received by facing the Sun so the sunflowers's backsides grew to face us... My mom was really upset so we decided to get family photos in front of the shed that year with our backsides to the camera... 😂 It turned into a humorous momento.
I usually don't comment on your videos but I feel a PS announcement to the ladies is in order. When your husband or boyfriend tells you that "You look hot in that dress" there's a pretty good chance he want's you to wear it again.

I'm not an engineer or anything but I think that if Samsung made a self-closing door if you left it open for too long then they would have to include other parts inside that would allow for a closing feature whereas a method to ping you to come close your door would probably be mainly a software issue. Also, if there was a self-closing feature I think safety would come into play because what if you were organizing your fridge or cleaning something and needed it open for an extended period of time? You'd have to include another sensor that tracks whether there's a person there or not. The cost for a smart fridge is already pretty high and I think that if they added even smarter features, it would drive the price up even more.

Our dogs, we have them in pairs to help with separation anxiety, and my husband works from home. They're spoiled. They are our fur kids. The best kind of kids.
Sad story short: We adopted a dog who lost his female doggie companion, lost his human Mom to cancer and then his human Dad passed (all within a year) and he was locked alone in a house for a week. Serve separation anxiety as a result. He has night terrors and will howl, wake up the whole house (and sometimes pee) in his sleep from time to time. It's very sad.
As someone who’s mom passed away at the height of yo mama jokes initially it wasn’t fun now several years later they are thoroughly amusing and do them to myself!

It's a lot harder to sense that it is SAFE for the refrigerator to close its own door than it is to let you know it is open. The cost would be very high, and the liability high as well.

Sloths really are crazy creatures! They move so slow that moss grows on them, and winds up being one of their main food sources. And if they move too fast? Die. Get startled? Die. Eat anything odd? Die. Fight? Die. Just about anything and everything can and will kill them in nature, but they survive by not being a threat or resource to anything as well. Rather interesting!
I was worried about my dog being on his own so installed a camera for when we went out. Within less than a minute he had jumped on the sofa (he knows he not allowed on there) and gone to sleep! He stayed there the whole time we were out and didn't move till he heard the key in the door, jumped off, stretched, yawned and was like oh...hey... Your back. He could not careless that we had gone 🤣
The dog fact is 100% true. My dog will wait for me if it is a day I'm working from home he will go and lay down next to my desk and come check on me when I'm not there in 5 minutes. Everyone else in my family can be home including my kids and my husband and it does not matter my dog will wait for me by the door until I get home just to make sure I got home.

Probably the most obvious, we share a mom so our "yo mama" jokes are also basically "my mama" jokes. 2. Also pretty obvious, a good yo mama joke is funny no matter who's mama it is. And 3. Our mom is dead, so there's an added level of inappropriateness. I once made a "that's not what your mom says last night" joke and that one did leave him slightly perturbed, but he still cracked up.

My mom died 2 years ago and anytime someone tries to hit me with a yo mama joke, I just laugh and say “well she’s dead so joke is on you” it’s my own petty revenge seeing them squirm and feel awkward.
While I miss my mom, she would appreciate the humor.

I can confirm as a dog owner that I at least DO go home early on the rare occasion that I get the opportunity, because of this exact worry 🤣🤣 my Dobby is always so ecstatic to see me, and so sad when I'm leaving 😭 he's legit a big part of why I'm looking for at-home work. he loved having me home everyday on quarantine so was even harder to go back to working an hour a way seven days a week 😭

The perp is gone but us vics are forced to deal with the aftermath, esp me, BC I have to support D and do everything, but it is OK BC I was taught, in old-school Brooklyn, these things have to be done for neighbors and such who need it. My dads mom died, some kid my brother is friends with tried to make a yo mama joke on my brother, but my brother and my dad have the same name so when he heard: “Daniel (fake name) yo mama so ugly, I threw up when I saw her.” My dad responded: “I’d do too if I saw a decomposing body of a 60 year old lady bro.” He was fairly drunk and I couldn’t have stopped laughing for a week at this joke. I raise chickens, and I can confirm that they still have some scary dinosaur traits inherent to their behavior!
I nearly lost my left eye (my "good" eye!) to a very hard peck. My entire eyeball was blood red for 2 months, and it looked horrific. Good thing it was just before Halloween so I could tell people I just really committed to looking like a zombie this year.
One of our 8 hens was a very sweet girl though, and she was our favorite. We would take her out of the pen and bring her inside, where she loved sitting in my son's lap like a kitten.
A few weeks ago, we found her dead, the other chickens attacked her and ripped her apart for no apparent reason, unless it was jealousy?
I now wear goggles when I open their pen.

My youngest son died when he was 19, and it was 7 years ago. I mention him regularly because he's always kinda with me. For people that didn't know him, I have to say 'my son who died'. Your co-worker misses his mom. Next time, just ask about her, what kind of person she was :)

The people with the sextuplets must have been having fertility treatments. Interesting info: Insurance will pay for fertility drugs, but not for in-vitro fertilization. Not financially sound - fertility treatments often result in multiple fetuses, which can cost millions of dollars for treatment of tiny preemies. In-vitro treatments are usually expensive to begin with, $10,000 or more per cycle, but generally only result in one or two fetuses. Now which is the better option? Plus those tiny preemies can have life-long health issues due to being born so small.
Wow! So ridiculous! I know the fertility treatments are 'only' around $17-23k in New York, but ins covers that, with parents covering another $20Kish for in-vitro implantation. I can imagine how expensive a lifetime of treatment PER child can cost. Is this a prime example of 'penny wise, pound foolish' (I apologize for writing 'pounds' but that is the saying. These poor kids suffer immensely as well, lucky to be born 2 pounds, so the ins companies are ALSO causing terrible suffering to innocent babies. Disgusting!

I'm so glad you went back on what you said about having multiples being fun. I carried twins and managed to carry full term (no clue how.. I was put on bed rest 11 weeks into the pregnancy because of the heightened preterm risk). I always laugh when folks find out I have twins and go "aww I want twins.." and in the dark place of my brain the scary voice pops in with "no you don't" lol

@@laramaaike3050 eh. I didn't exactly follow it. I physically cannot be still for that long. It hurts my joints and muscles far far too much and honestly my body kept telling me I need to move. I was in Seattle at the time so I used to basically just walk everywhere. Don't get me wrong if I felt like I was pushing it or whatnot I'd take the free rides. But that said I remember all the ob's at the hospital getting kinda irritated with me when I'd come in cuz they'd take my BP and it would be elevated any time I walked there from my apartment. Under normal circumstances it was literally a 10 minute walk for me. Later in my pregnancy though I gave myself a half hours leeway to take my time and stop and rest if needed. But yeah. I did not follow those orders lmao. Matter of fact I remember going to a visit. Being told I need to be admitted. (this happened twice in the pregnancy.. once for low placental fluid in baby b and once because I started dilating after the first ones meds and she could feel baby B's bottom lol.) But then walking home first to gather stuff, then walking back to outpatient and admitting myself. And then when my scheduled C-section day finally arrived, I walked to the hospital for that one too. XD
I would die if I had twins. Took care of a few in my day... when you calm one the other acts up, or when one cries they both cry, it was crazy... daycare was rough. Lol

That cat is either a Selkirk Rex, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex, or LaPerm. I've had a Cornish Rex I got from a breeder that said she wasn't 'show quality', and they are those non allergenic cats with short, tiny hairs. That kitten looks like a Selkirk Rex to me. You're right about waiting for you to get home, but not just dog, Charlotte. My cats do as well. Remember...our furry/feathered family are only part of our lives...but we are ALL of their lives. Especially when it is an ex stray, or from a shelter. They have already had it proven to them, that some humans WILL leave you somewhere and never come back for you. That always makes me tear up. ALL my cats have been strays or from a shelter, or from someone giving them away. The only one was the above gotten from a breeder, for free. She was not show quality, and couldn't be used for breeding either because they didn't want the undesirable trait to be passed on. So I took that little grey kitten and named her Natasha before someone less reliable took her.

Many celebrities and influencers wear new and obscenely expensive clothing and show ideals that are not only unhealthy, but unobtainable for many people.
My remark was that I actually sincerely appreciate that someone would still put their best foot forward, looking cute, being sassy and smart a$$y, and trying to be responsible for their existence.

As an electrician, I've never mended work clothes more than I do now. I realize it's going to get torn, shredded, stained..... and I've hit a whole new mindset. Now I hand mend regular and fancy clothes. I try to make my wardrobe work with each setting... come up with creative ways to spice things up. It was once so normal to see and encourage people to buy that extra top because it's "so cute on you". I'm glad my eyes had been opened forever ago.
The only time sloths are fast is when they’re in the water, they can literally swim miles!.. and they climb down the tree once a week to poop, and that’s when they’re not at risk from predators.. they move so slow they actually have algae grow on them.. and it’s actually healthy for them

So on the Sunflower thing, I was told a story by my mom about when she planted sunflowers in the yard when she was younger (she grew up in Alaska) and she watched as they decapitated themselves because in Alaska we get so much sun in the summer that it doesn't actually go all the way down in some places and the sunflowers didn't have enough time to fully go back to their "normal" position and would just rotate following the sun until their heads fell off...
With multiple babies, especially triplets and up, there usually isn’t enough room for all of them to grow properly, so they’re often premies. That’s especially true if Mom is kinda small. The sextuplets were most likely barely above two pounds each

My mom planted sunflowers in front of the shed thinking they would look really pretty facing the Sun... However our shed was white and it reflected more sunlight than the sunflowers received by facing the Sun so the sunflowers's backsides grew to face us... My mom was really upset so we decided to get family photos in front of the shed that year with our backsides to the camera... 😂 It turned into a humorous momento.
I usually don't comment on your videos but I feel a PS announcement to the ladies is in order. When your husband or boyfriend tells you that "You look hot in that dress" there's a pretty good chance he want's you to wear it again.

So that thing you said about dog owners going home... I can't speak for all of us, but yeah. You got me. And I'm as happy to see my fur babies as they are to see me.
I'm not an engineer or anything but I think that if Samsung made a self-closing door if you left it open for too long then they would have to include other parts inside that would allow for a closing feature whereas a method to ping you to come close your door would probably be mainly a software issue.
Also, if there was a self-closing feature I think safety would come into play because what if you were organizing your fridge or cleaning something and needed it open for an extended period of time? You'd have to include another sensor that tracks whether there's a person there or not. The cost for a smart fridge is already pretty high and I think that if they added even smarter features, it would drive the price up even more.

Sad story short:
We adopted a dog who lost his female doggie companion, lost his human Mom to cancer and then his human Dad passed (all within a year) and he was locked alone in a house for a week. Serve separation anxiety as a result.
He has night terrors and will howl, wake up the whole house (and sometimes pee) in his sleep from time to time. It's very sad.

As someone who’s mom passed away at the height of yo mama jokes initially it wasn’t fun now several years later they are thoroughly amusing and do them to myself!

Sloths really are crazy creatures! They move so slow that moss grows on them, and winds up being one of their main food sources. And if they move too fast? Die. Get startled? Die. Eat anything odd? Die. Fight? Die. Just about anything and everything can and will kill them in nature, but they survive by not being a threat or resource to anything as well. Rather interesting!

I was worried about my dog being on his own so installed a camera for when we went out. Within less than a minute he had jumped on the sofa (he knows he not allowed on there) and gone to sleep!
He stayed there the whole time we were out and didn't move till he heard the key in the door, jumped off, stretched, yawned and was like oh...hey... Your back.
He could not careless that we had gone 🤣
I always thought that sloths were more like the...Tommy Chong kind of mellow, almost burn out that is so chill and laid back, everyone likes him.
The dog fact is 100% true. My dog will wait for me if it is a day I'm working from home he will go and lay down next to my desk and come check on me when I'm not there in 5 minutes. Everyone else in my family can be home including my kids and my husband and it does not matter my dog will wait for me by the door until I get home just to make sure I got home.

My brother and I laugh over the occasional yo mama joke, which we think are hilarious on 3 levels: 1. Probably the most obvious, we share a mom so our "yo mama" jokes are also basically "my mama" jokes. 2. Also pretty obvious, a good yo mama joke is funny no matter who's mama it is. And 3. Our mom is dead, so there's an added level of inappropriateness.
I once made a "that's not what your mom says last night" joke and that one did leave him slightly perturbed, but he still cracked up.
