    There is only one CV track, but you can program notes in the FX track as well and use them for the CV outs. (These notes are not used for the FX, unless you use envelopes to modulate FX parameters.)
    Each of the four CV outs can use any of the six sequencer tracks as source for the CV signals or gates; The CV track, the FX track, or Synth Track 1-4.

  • @BlackSuneEmpire

    They don't "do" anything different however, what is different is you get a hands on approach to generating sequenced sounds. For me this kind of music making is a whole lot more fun than clicking a mouse on virtual knobs. The analogue 4 can be used for a more "live" type of performance.

  • @NatchNadjafi

    I think the MiniBrute should be cheaper than the MS-20 (mini or otherwise). I'd suggest that you think about how/where you're going to be using your synth. It'd make sense to get the more portable MiniBrute if you intend on playing live shows. The MS-20 mini on the other hand (although already significantly smaller than the MS-20), is still rather big. So, if you're more of a producer, I'd say go with the MS-20, but if you're a frequent live performer, go for the MiniBrute :)

    Hi there, I just got my analog four and I absolutely adore it, it's my first piece of elektron gear and now I'm hooked. I have a good amount of synths (nord g2, tetra, minibrute) I need something for drums, would you suggest a machinedrum, or an octotrack to use samples I already have and loops I make with drumazon, nithonat etc?

    jenk could i ask you how everything is set up? I thought you were using CV/gate from one stereo pair to the minibrute and one to the minitaur, but wouldnt that trigger them together? Then I thought I saw you using P locks on the minibrute filter, so Im just wondering what the setup is. Great video, and great tracks also. Getting my octatrack in a few days, and got my A4 a few weeks ago, and it was pretty much your videos that peaked my interest in the elektron stuff so thank you!

    All Elektron gear can sequence external synths? Can you please advise where in the documentation of the Analog Four we can see it? Thanks!

    • @RiccardoRics
      @RiccardoRics 9 лет назад +1

      Not all, Monomachine sure can do through dedicated six poly midi tracks.
      With analog four you can do it only using CV outputs, you don't have midi tracks on it.
      If you want to use with midi only equipped gear you need a CV to Midi converter (that's for analog four, not for monomachine).
      With RYTM you can't sequence external gear, don't know about machinedrum as i don't own it.

    great tunes. You are filtering the pants out of the minibrute for bass duties and using the minitaur for high beeps which is unusual. For newcomers trying to decide on synths I doubt this gives them a clear example of what the minibrute or minitaur are capable of or designed for. Your analog 4 ms20 video though is a different matter... Anyway, great work still.

    Andy HS did a very good question. Your answer is interesting point of view but ... its not only fun . Maybe Andy wants more than fun. A VST could give better results , it depends of what kind of sound Andy wants to create. Playing with hardware knobs is very fun , that is true but its not all. Put a VST inside that hardware and play with the knobs like in these analog machines. Could be very funny and even with best results.

    @MrDataline - Love your sounds man! I have been trying to decide on a hardware sequencer for my rig for a while. I have been looking at the Elektron gear a lot. But I don't know which one is best for me. I have a couple analog monos and currently integrate into my DAW. I need a quality sequencer primarily, but effects and oscillators are a big bonus obviously. I read a few negative reviews on A4 about limitations, MIDI mostly, but i also hear so much good. Question.
    If i want exactly(!) the same quality of rev, chorus and delay as step triggered p-locks in a sequence, but the equipment is MIDI capable...will the Octatrack do the job? I need the sequenced power with the 3 effects used. I wonder, if programmed exactly like in the A4...will the Octatrack's FX result be the same(!) as shown here or will it just be comparable?
