  • It's a little long but it was only a half a day of work, just lots of info. The VF-1 looks really good in a crosskart stance. No music even though there is a lot of time lapse. I would have soaked in every second of this 5 years ago so I hope this is good info whether you are building a VF-1 or your own awesome creation!

    If ground clearance is what you want try an arch the A arms polaris did it on my highlifter atv

    • @KJRaycing
      @KJRaycing  3 года назад

      I wanted to make them universal for the other side, and we’re looking for a 5” ground clearance because it’s a crosskart, not to clear rocks... these can be set up for waaaaay more. Tanks for tuning in.

    Not a bad build, but I can forsee bending and possible shear issues with your suspension mounting tabs. Metal is just to thin, and the all thread for the rack is also very soft. Also what kind of quad parts are you using? Ever thought of using RzR suspension and diff?

    • @KJRaycing

      I have to wait for the tires for it to be an accurate measurement for you, but it sits 4-5” lower than the “dimensions” kart. Doesnt seem like much but it looks so much racier. 👍💪😁

    • @KJRaycing
      @KJRaycing  3 года назад

      You are very welcome. I use levels a lot but for the stance I use the old eyeball. I stand waaaaay back and just stare; and then I put a level on the main roll bar 😁.

    KJ, on the plans do you have the specs to do the woods setup in there? What I will be doing will involve more woods type riding and rocks so more clearance would be my goal.

    • @KJRaycing
      @KJRaycing  3 года назад +1

      For the woods setup i just mount the shocks for around 9” of clearance with sag with 22” tires, then i have a set of 23” turf tires i’ll run specifically for trail riding. The suspension is the last to go from tack welds to final welds so the height, sag and pre-load can be fine tuned just before final assembly.
