    I had always considered it to be a pernicious weed in driveways & pathways, but now like a plant with a similar growing habit - plantain (a superb medicinal plant) - I have recently come to appreciate it

    It always grew around the farms when I was younger, I love the smell so much I bought two packets of seeds and have started to grow it in the cracks in the garden and in pots.

    Get yourself a silicone spatula Marlow, you'll get the last of that cream and the finished dessert out of the pot! That looks so good, I can almost taste it!

    Pineapple weed grows pretty much everywhere in my town. Even my son can point it out on the way to school now (good boy) iv never used it for anything myself but I do encourage both my kids to crush and sniff every time they come across it. I imagine mixed with a bit of herb fennel (also abundant in my town..... I love my town) it would make an interesting drink

    Aww-haw-haw, such a sweet video in every possible way. And Pete's lovely music bed just adds to the gentle natural vibes. Thank you, I'm going to try this; there's loads of PW growing along the canal near where I live. x

    The smell from these is the most beautiful tropical fruit smell. I'm making a concentrate from them and using them in a body spray. Smell so fresh. And you're right they grow everywhere. ☺️

    Frozen custard?

    • @moiragoldsmith7052
      @moiragoldsmith7052 2 года назад +1

      Not frozen...'set'. The pH ( acidic) of the lemon juice 'sets' the cream via causing the casein proteins in the cream to bond together. Forgive me if I have misinterpreted your comment. 💕

    Instead of lemon juice maybe half lemon an half pineapple juice

    • @moiragoldsmith7052

      You need the acid pH of the lemon to set the cream. 🥰

      It's an educational channel that has been going on for many years and the people behind it run foraging courses around GB throughout the year. Wild Food UK has also published their own Foraging pocket guide book. You can see the website at www.wildfooduk.com where you can find more about the foraging courses and the book, alongside an hedgerow guide, mushroom guide and a recipe section (free to consult).

    Why would make it vegan? Cycle of life. Our ancestors didn't have these unnatural delusions.

    • @JP-sm4cs
      @JP-sm4cs 2 года назад +7

      What's natural about a factory farm with animals pumped full of antibiotics and stimulants which are fed on imported grain?
      If you have access to local grass-fed cows sure why not. But if you don't have that luxury it's probably better to just use oat cream.
