What the hell man. I get down to 6k health and get stuck in an endless poison breath loop with only auron alive since rikku gets one shot I can’t keep healing
When people say Kimahri is the most useless character in the game I laugh. He's the strongest if you "actually" use him. He can learn more skills than anyone else with Lancet. Once you get Mighty Guard from fighting Yenke and Biran using Lancet it "sorta" breaks the game.

Really helpful guide. A trick to kill him fast at the end (after dumping overdrives) is to throw Gil at him. For every 10,000 Gil you get 1000 damage, so for me a quick 50,000 Gil blasted him out of the sky. Best use of Gil I’ve ever had in my life

Once you discover how to use Albhed Potion, it becomes bit easier. My Tidus was too weak to be in the main 3 so I had to put Rikku instead and kept moving away every two strikes and it worked. Then I was defeated in the next battle and had to defeat this asshole all over again XD.
This is definitely a fight of perseverance and skill and not strength. Once you figure out the pattern, and realize you have a thousand Al bhed potions, it becomes manageable.
My strategy was to buff Auron early with Titus’ haste + cheer, Rikku’s protect & Lulu’s focus abilities. He hit 1000 dmg & was pretty tanky (for me anyways). I also used Wakka as reliable DPS during both close and far combat and kept cycling through potions to prevent any unnecessary faints. Rarely used Kimahri, if at all, until he last hitted for EXP.
I just went back to play this game a few days ago and got stuck on Evrae. I TOTALLY FORGOT AL BHED potion cures ailments. Omg. I feel so dumb! I lost 3 times. Now I'll kick his ass for sure. Haha. Thank you for this video.
get trio of 9999 with rikku. use lulu fire overdrive. make 10 hits and you have 100 000 damage dealt in one attack without even magic being high. you dont even need magic power spheres, just trio and as much hits with lulu overdrive and you are good. maximally 160 000 damage.
Havent played this great game since its PS2 launch. Picked up the FFX X and X2 HD remaster on the PSN end of the year sale for 12.50! Looks great on a PS4 and a 4K tv.
Actually the fight is rather easy if you Haste Kimahri+Lulu or Auron+Lulu at the beginning and then use Al Bhed Potions and spam magic attack, but this particular Boss fight has a nasty glitch. Before the fight I made sure every character had Stoneward. But the Stone attack that Everae uses is glitched, because it has 100 percent chance for petrifying your character. However sometimes the Stone attack misses, and your character has no status effect, but the game somehow treats that character as petrified and excludes all their turns - the character just stands there without turns. Because your character is fine, you cannot heal the status. The only way to fix this is (probably) kill that character and then throw Phoenix Down. Because of this, you are fightning as if you have 2 characters in party. Add a Evrae's Haste to this and you're toast. In my game, the Stone attack always hits first player standing to the left. Make sure that character does not have Stoneward. Just let Evrae hit that character and just use Soft to avoid the glitch. Also, the save point placement in this part of game is terrible. There are two savepoints on airship, yet no save point after Evrae. Then in second battle in Bevelle there is this monster YKTsomething that kicks your 2 characters out if it is the last monster alive. It is probably developer's omission and not to increase the difficulty because it is the only spot in the entire game which does not have a save point after Boss battle. There should be a save point right after Evrae fight and landing on Red carpet, but I think devs forgot to put it there. Instead they erroneously put save point on the end of Red carpet which is seen during cutscene but the party passes right by. This was supposed to be used earlier.
I find every boss easy :D over training helps but not too much, Auron on my save file at the moment on PS4 has over 4000hp and 41 strength and I am at the al bhed home
Anyone know if it can be poisoned? I doubt when I does that Poison breath thing but just want to confirm because if it can be that would be handy as Poison does damage at every turn for the enemy
This is not helping, you have a great team health.. your Auron's health is 3000... I just have 1500 health each party member and all dies after received poison breath..

All you have to do is make sure you're lvled up enough. Was literally a 1 minute fight for me with attacking only and using overdrives

by the time i reach evere im so powerfull all i need to use is brute force
OK COOL so i pull away from evrae and then immediately pulls him self closer and uses poison breath

You could of just used two phoenix downs and bam, Evrae is dead. My problem is when I try to use phoenix down on it I keep missing. I don't know why.
