I did, games back then made you work for the answer unlike most of today's games that are simplified. Replaying this game on PS4 now. Had a friend show me this video(He's replaying it too) I remember what a pain this was but having a sense of accomplishment after finally figuring it out on the PS2. Also, the game released back in 2001.

And the fact that this game was rushed so instead of designing awesome dungeons like so many other FF games have, they replaced them with these lazily designed trials.

I could never vibe with the puzzles in this game, they always fealt forced and unnecessary
It's worth mentioning that when you press X/A to start moving on the second level you'll notice that each time you can press forward to move on the second level, the glyph ahead of you is in an alternating position. If you want to take the second or fourth right turn, you need to press X/A when you can see that second glyph pointing right. If you want the THIRD right turn on the second level, you need to wait for the second glyph to be pointing "up". If you just click X/A as soon as you can each time to start, you'll never have the timing right to take that third right.
