I'm impressed with the sound quality of this amplifier. It's very neutral and transparent, with a wide soundstage. The bass is deep and powerful, and the mids are clear and detailed. The treble is smooth and extended, without being harsh. This amplifier is a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality integrated amplifier.
Great review! As a musician who plays mostly acoustic instruments, transparency and a natural sound are key for me. This seems like it might be the perfect setup.
I just received mine, it is everything and more in regards to sound quality. I’m hearing things in recordings that I did not know were there. Instrument placement and separation are simply incredible in my room with a pair of Maggie’s.
I took delivery of this amp yesterday, my buddy bought one too. He is, and continues to be blown away, just as I am. My friend said this integrated amp is better than his $7500 Simaudio unit. His words, this is a $10,000+ amplifier in regards to sound quality. Then the built in DAC, this is where I believed this unit would fall short. NOPE! I can see selling both my PS Audio and Bel Canto DACs. Not even a contest. I have only had a short time with this integrated Tonewinner amplifier, will know more in time. Put it this way, I wanted to call in sick today to stay home and simply listen.
Yeah, price to performance ratio here is very good. I wasn't that blown away by the DAC itself, but it's not bad - pairs very well with the rest of the unit.
@@TheAudioStuff I was not impresses either at first, but the more this DAC plays, the better everything is sounding. I have a PS Audio and Bel Canto DAC here, both new you are looking at $6000+, just for the two DACs. This ToneWinner DAC, to my ears, and others in the house, sounds better by the day. I asked the ladies in the house, what did they hear, or are hearing in the ToneWinner vs the other two DACs? The women liked the way the TW handles the instrument separation, depth and width, they could see the instrument/musician placement in their mind. Then the clarity and details that it brings out without being harsh. Trust me, this unit had some glare and was rather harsh right out of the box, that is now gone. Now, we listen to mainly Jazz, R&B and Classical here at a moderate volume. So, I am sure this will play into my findings in regards to overall sound quality and volume levels. And speakers too, of course. But, as of today, both myself, and my friend who also bought one of these TW 2PRO+ units, the DAC is going to be incredibly hard to be replaced. My friend has a large variety of DACs, from the Eversolo to even pricier Simaudio and Bel Canto units, and a few others... He swears by this DAC too. But again, we both listen to the same music, and at moderate to low levels. So, everyone's mileage will vary. We all know there is better out there, there always is. But for now, for an amp that cost less than either of my DACs, it is a keeper.
After a week with this amp, it is staying. It sounds better than amps costing much more that I have owned. and I cannot get over the overall sound quality of this amplifier, the more I listen, the better it sounds. I have the matching ToneWinner TY- 1 CD transport coming in a few days, this should be fun!
This integrated sounds incredible. The DAC is unbelievable, it is walking all over my Bel Canto and PS Audio gear, which sound like cheap transistor radios next to this beast.
I think that class D amplifires are to be used in subwoofers, and in a maximum. And they are to use by limitate ways. The ultimate in hi resolution are the class A and AB. Much people are confunding clear sound with hear only the half of the original sound.
Compared to my PS Audio, Bel Canto and Denafrips Venus, there is no contest, the Tonewinner is in another class. I don’t know what TW did in regards to this amplifier, but according to my friend that has owned amps in that $10,000+ range, this easily competes, and bests them. He even went as far as to compare it to a Mark Levinson. If anyone knows that sound, my friend certainly does.
I just got off the phone with Aamir at Summit HiFi, and am seriously ready to pull the trigger on this amp, anyone actually have one in their possession that would like to comment? Thanks guys. I will probably have it before anyone sees this, LOL! Ordered one, so did my buddy, so two on the way!
But what do these power figures mean? In the 1970s the reputable manufacturers would specify their power figures in watts RMS (root mean squared) at a specified distortion level. This made power output comparisons reasonably easy, although the less reputable makers would often sneak power figures in as IPP (instantaneous peak power) which could easily be three times the same output measured in RMS - and never mind the distortion. What exactly are they using as a measuring standard these days - and why do they not state it?

I love how you broke down the technical specifications. Really helps those of us who aren’t as tech-savvy understand what we’re getting.
Your playback tests really demonstrated the amp's capabilities; I think this might be a game-changer for my audio setup.
Your enthusiasm for audio gear is contagious! Watching your videos always makes me want to upgrade my own system.
Great attention to detail in the design! Those heatsinks aren’t just for show; they actually serve a purpose.
I appreciate your balanced review style. It’s refreshing to see someone praise the good but also mention the downsides, like imaging issues.

Couldn't agree more!
Seeing your enthusiasm about this amp makes me consider upgrading sooner rather than later.
I appreciate your honesty about price vs. performance; it really helps narrow down options.
This might be the answer to my search for a robust amplifier. Those specs look impressive!
Love the aesthetic! The black and silver combo would look perfect in my listening room.
Excited to learn more about the sound quality! Your description of the tonal characteristics makes me want to hear it for myself.
The build quality of the Tonewinner AD-2PRO+ truly stands out. It seems like it can take a beating and still perform flawlessly!
I love how you broke down both music and movie performance; sounds versatile enough for daily use.
This channel is a great resource for all audiophiles, bless you!
Glad you think so!
Overall, a good overview of the Tonewinner AD-2PRO+. Would recommend for experienced audiophiles looking for a powerful amp.
Thanks! You're spot on
The detail and clarity are amazing, especially in the mids and highs. Considering this combo for my bookshelf speakers.
240W output? That's some serious power! I can only imagine how it would drive my floor-standing speakers.

I didn't realize how crucial an integrated amp could be until I saw how you stressed the sound quality improvement.
Great build quality! Sounds powerful and dynamic.
It is!
Hoping to see a long-term review of this setup in the future!

The videos are always high-quality and well-produced, left a like on this vid
A bit pricey, but worth it for the performance
This video is making me itch to upgrade my setup! But gotta do more research before taking the plunge.
Go for it!

Maybe a comparison with similar-priced integrated amps? Would help viewers make a more informed decision.
I'll try to do that in my future amp reviews
Class A vs. Class A/B? This is the kind of info I need! I always wondered what I should choose for my audiophile needs.
Been wanting to upgrade my budget audio setup. This AD2-PRO + integrated amp combo looks very tmpting
This integrated sounds incredible. The DAC is unbelievable, it is walking all over my Bel Canto and PS Audio gear, which sound like cheap transistor radios next to this beast.
The amplifier runs quite hot. It's best to keep it in a well-ventilated area so it doesn't shut off in class A, class ab is not an issue at all
Definitely interested in hearing more about how this pairs with different speaker types like magnepans or smth
It sounds incredible with a pair of Magnepan LRS+
Another good one thanks again
Thank you for watching
Lots of inputs and outputs, that's a plus! But kinda overwhelming for someone new to hi-fi amps.
You don't have to use them all at once, it's not so complicated haha
Would love to hear a demo of the sound quality. Maybe with different types of music for reference.
I'm not a huge fan of doing that, but I can try at some point with even better audio gear, than I have today.
The aluminum radiators look nice, but are they prone to scratches? Hoping for some durability insights.
The paint seems thick and durable, no issues here to this day
Excellent video! Sorry to be so late in viewing it!
No worries buddy

My personal favorite is class A for HiFi systems.
For $2700, this amp better deliver some serious sound. Your review makes me curious!
Very informative review!
Would love to see a comparison with some higher-end DACs

Does anyone know if this amp works well with vintage speakers?

Damn, that's great!
Subbed for more content like this!
This amp seems like it could heat up a room! Especially in Class A mode. Does it have good ventilation?
It's well ventilated, yes. But it still gets quite hot in class A
great review
As someone who primarily listens to electronic music, would this setup be powerful enough to handle heavier bass lines?
Yes
Specs seem impressive on paper. Curious how it translates to actual listening experience.
Amazingly, truly so
Nice review, but I would have liked to hear a bit more about the build quality and user interface of the amplifier itself...
The build quality is outstanding. The UI is very basic and non complicated. It just does what it needs to do. Very happy with mine, it is staying.
Cool video, but not sure if this amp is for me. Seems like a lot of power for my small listening space.
Fair enough! More power can't hurt though!
Bi-wiring sounds fancy, but is it worth the hassle?
I've tried it some time ago, and I have to say - it is.
which one is better? EverSolo Amp F2 or Emotiva BasX A3 ? is it worth replacing the Emotiva to Everesolo AMP F2 ?
Not even in the same league as this integrated TW amplifier. Those are 9v transistor radios in comparison.
The AD-2PRO + blows them both away
Never heard of Tonewinner before. Are they a reliable brand?
They're Chinese, but I don't see any issues with that, or the company itself.
The LED display looks a little bright. Hoping it's dimmable for nighttime listening.
It's not that bright in real life, no worries.

Pure Class "A": 60 Watts RMS/channel; 20 Hz - 20 kHz; THD=0.0012%; 8 Ohms; one channel driven
Class A/B Auto: 312 Watts RMS/channel; 20 Hz - 20 kHz; THD
Exactly that, it's all in RMS as well
Sounds sweet! What pre-amp r u using?
In the video I was using this amplifier's built in pre-amp.
The build quality looks robust and the features seem perfect for someone looking to simplify their audio chain.
The remote control could be a bit more responsive, feels a bit cheap
Center imaging could be better....
Is it heavy enough to use as a coffee table? hahaha
