Lachlan is a second degree BJJ black belt. He is the 2017 IBJJF No-Gi World Championship Bronze Medallist, 2014 Australian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Prix Champion, multiple time Pan Pacific and Victorian Jiu Jitsu Champion. He has represented Australia twice at ADCC, the most prestigious submission grappling competition in the world, represented Australia three times at the World Pro Championships and competed at the Eddie Bravo Invitational where he submitted former ADCC Champion Rani Yahya.
In 2014 and 2017 he completed a clean sweep of the black belt division at Australia's most prestigious competition, the Pan Pacific Championships, winning 4 gold medals. In 2016 Lachlan was ranked as the number 12 lightweight BJJ competitor in the world. He is also the 2016 Australian Freestyle Wrestling Champion.
He also works as a physiotherapist and in 2016 completed his PhD.

Love the underhook half guard. I have always called it the Lucas Half because of Lucas Leite. Really sick highlight. Saw some nice details there keeping the underhook up high against a strong whizzar from a wrestler like AJ.

Awesome highlight, if you have the time for the editing it would be really cool if you could commentate over some of this footage and walk us through your game plan is and how you're responding to what your opponent does.

Nice bit of inspiration there Lachy. You seemed to capture both legs and then get around to the back on at least a couple of occasions and I saw that RNC from the side that sent your opponent into full panic stations ( need to try that ). Need to work my way back through your seminar to see what more I can pick up. I am definitely better at twisting the opponents leg off at an angle as I come up and I am getting better at getting up from my shoulder/head when I can't get onto my elbow. Little by little.

question. Why is he grabbing on to the pant sleeve of opponent's free leg? is it to prevent them from backstepping?
threatening the roll under sweep. he ends up coming up to the back when they resist, otherwise when they resist the back he rolls underneath for the sweep
