Matt, thanks for piecing them all together as makes it simple to just follow. Stretching is one area I don’t give enough attention so keen for you to post some more. Especially if you get the opportunity to post the stretch programme in your 12 week fitness plan. Enjoying your posts (especially with all the extra time in lockdown in NZ). Cheers
In the past I've been useless at doing pre ride stretching, but today I did your routine and i definitely notice the difference. Just hope my legs agree in the morning 🤣
Matt. After a long days work on a construction site with all the lifting, moving and turning. Of course all the jumping to conclusions, I still like to stretch. Not much due to the fact I am always eager to ride. In short, stretching helps a lot.
Enjoyed your video!!! I follow you on instagram which brought me here. I definitely will be using this stretching routine before heading out for a ride!!!
These are great! I followed along and I already feel more limber. I was familiar with some of these from your 12-week program but the explanations shed even more light on them. Hello to your neighbors 👋🤣
Thanks Matt. As a 58 year old rider I think I will really benefit from these. Can you point me in the direction of some hamstring exercises? Mine are very tight, I can barely touch my shins, never mind my toes.
Nice stretching is one of those things I leave until it’s too late because i just want to get riding but then spend time in pain with tight muscles that end up giving me back pain then I don’t ride 😂 I’m going to set my ipad every time before I ride and stretch to you 😝👍🏻🤘🏼
These are all very good exercises, but it's much more beneficial to hold the position in a stretch for a least 30 seconds. You should let, what ever your trying to loosen up, be able to stretch out. Doing long stretches, or these exercises slowly, is a much safer way to accomplish that.
As you mentioned about sitting a computer all day. That's me for over 20 years. Bought a half decent bike Trek Roscoe 8 over 6 months ago. Bet I've not spent over an hour on it total. These kind of stretches I'll give a try. Also bought your 12 week and nutrition guide. I have ideas about fitness but never seem to follow them through.
As I drive a desk all day these stretches will be great for getting my hips/lower back working. As I'm currently working from home I might do them whilst I'm on calls.....got to be better than sitting still.
you have a seriously flexible quad, dang. I don't even need to put my foot up to feel it, just engaging my glute is enough with my leg out behind me on the ground haha.
Great advice especially for those who are new to or getting back into mountain biking. Keep up the good work! 👍

Great advice. Thank you for providing an MTB specific video on stretching.
Excellent! Your guidance is greatly appreciated 🤟

Some great stretches. Some variations of stretches I do but not seen before. Will definitely be giving these a go
Good stretches. Liked the key points to warm up 1-2 miles gradually increasing. could you help us out with arm stretches and exercise too? Thank You!
Awesome!
Loved this quick warmup, Matt.

Feel real ready for a ride now. Thank you.

Totally agree in regards to sitting down. When we are all hunched over it’s important to stretch off. Thanks for buying the guides too!
You should do intermittent fasting 8:16
And listen to Shawn Stevenson “eat smarter”
Thanks Matt. Definitely could do with more stretch videos, something a lot of use do not do properly or at all.
Thanks, will do!

Great little pre ride routine, can we have a post ride stretching vid please! Cheers.
good idea
Great video I am going to keep on these stretches but I need a good stretch for my lower back any suggestions?
Hey Matt, I can’t see that anyone has mentioned yet....checkout your quad stretch section. The text says glute stretch.
nice little addition, shows me how tight I've got!
👌great vid, would you recommend to do these daily, Or just before a long ride.
Both!
Great Matt, thank you. More of the same please 👍👍
Cool - now I just have to find a spot where no one can see me do these.
Warm up with some spice!
Excellent advice 👍
