  • In this final sermon in Romans from 16:17-27, Pastor Mark preaches against division and on the difference between wise, foolish, and evil people. Ultimately, the book ends with the admonition to start with God, stay with God, and finish with God.

"Forgiveness, trust, reconciliation/relationship are different things. Great sermon. Yes, there are 3 categories of people in the Bible: wise, foolish, and evil. Pastor Driscoll reminds me of a "John the Baptist". Direct! You can forgive offenders, but reconciliation depends on whether or not you can trust a person. You need to set healthy boundaries regardless of the relationship. Otherwise if you don't set a boundary, you end up bitter and abused. He's right about family. They THINK they should be able to run over you roughshod. Whereas you don't allow that from outsiders. 🙌🙏

Sounds like you're just here trolling and don't know when you hear truth versus error. Where's your ministry? Who have you mentored or served in your community? Sounds like good common sense and wisdom, guided by the Ruach Ha'Kodesh/Holy Spirit. The Bible DOES establish these 3 categories (wise, evil, and foolish) he's speaking of in the beginning of the sermon. He's giving you the scriptures to go with each (like Romans). They're DEFINITELY in the Book of Proverbs. Read it closely, look for the "key" words, sit down, get your paper/ pencil and you'll be able to sort them out. He's just expounding on each using common sense every day examples. It appears that you've heard rumors about this man and judge according to that. Rather than looking for the truth of what he's saying. I'm not looking for the opinions of men, but truth and common sense from the word.

Sorry folks. The Bible does not divide people into three categories. The evil, the foolish and the wise. You are either in Christ or out of Christ. Run from this guy.....

It does establish these categories throughout the Bible, but all 3 are definitely outlined in the Book of Proverbs. Read it closely, look for the "key" words, sit down, and you'll be able to sort them out. He's just expounding on each using common sense every day example. It appears that you've heard rumors about this man and judge according to that. Rather than looking for the truth. I'm not looking for the opinions of men, but truth and common sense from the word. So basically what you're saying is these words aren't in the Bible? Didn't he just give you several scriptures with these words in them describing these types of people? I'm sure I saw Romans on the board 🤷. But I know Proverbs has tons of examples of these categories.
