I also think she has a similar singing style to Delores from The Cranberries. I always describe her as the lovechild of Delores and Bjork.

Aurora is one of those artists who puts her experiences, emotions, and being into each performance. I literally don't believe she could sing the same song in the exact same way she had before, there is just too much of her in each performance and we're always learning and growing. Maybe it's just because I love her music so much but I feel like I can gauge where she is emotionally in life based on how she performs in that moment.

Forget all your mainstream media driven music that churn out all the same old lyrics and cliches that you’ve heard thousands of times before, Aurora is simply head and shoulders above anyone writing lyrics with such deep meaning’s that makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in.seriously to think she wrote this at the age of 12 is astonishing,I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Aurora live 3 times and I’ve no hesitation of saying she is the best live performer I’ve ever heard and believe me she will move emotions in you that you never thought you had, simply put Aurora is the essence of what the art of music should be all about and at my age of 66 I’m blessed to have her music her little children as she likes to call her songs in my life. Aurora simply is a Genius ❤️

Everybody in her band usually sings very well. Drummer/producer Magnus (still produces and performs with Aurora, but doesn't go on tour I believe), guitar/producer Odd Martin (travelled a lot with Aurora and did acoustic shows (like the great NPR Tiny Desk), but is not in her band anymore), and backup singer Selma (Odd Martin and Selma later married). Magnus and Odd Martin also co-wrote some of her songs I believe. Her best known backup singer is the amazing Silja Sol though.
"Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" from the same concert is a must, but she's got a ton of great ones. She's got good music videos, but there's something special about watching her live.

As you said this song "blew up" in 2021 due to a TikTok meme reaching top20 world wide on the Spotify global chart as a 6 year old song. And since it became so popular Genius invited her to do a video on youtube explaining the meaning of Runaway.
She basically says that "seeing a face in the sand" is about missing someone you lost and seeing their face everywhere and "I was painting a picture, the picture was a painting of you" is about recreating the face of the one you lost. In a 2019 article it was mentioned she lost her godfather at age 11, so my personal theory is that it is about him.
Then the song is of course also about running away for so long that you get lost, and wants to go home, where home can be where ever you feel safe. I'm very curious if she actually ran away from home back then as a child, but she never said.
The Runaway music video got praised in a tweet from Katy Perry just 5 days after the release, and the video really inspired a young Billie Eilish to start her career in her own words: youtu . be / SRtw8rWNzg4

Thank you for your reaction video for Aurora's 'Runaway' performance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in 2015. She was 19 year sold at the time. She's currently 26. She is from Norway and learned English at an early age, as most Europeans do. Her band consists of the four players you see here ... but, they have changed through the years. The keyboard player triggers backing tracks - mainly effects and the deep bass 'vocals' that you hear. Layered on top are the three backing vocalist and of course Aurora. Yes! Dolores O'Riordan is exactly who I thought of when I first heard Aurora.
She now produces most all of her music. To me the amazing facet of Aurora is she can make fantastic album tracks, music videos, concert tours with her band, pared-back radio/tv studio versions with some of the backing players ... or just accompany herself on keyboard. Each version is unique and just 'fits' the venue. She also does a great job tailoring 'covers'.
I hope that you continue to react to Aurora in the future. I really like your assessments and comments!! Subbed!!

    Very nice reaction🤗
Yes she did write this when she was only 11 years old, and at that age she didn’t quite understand the meaning of the song, but as she grew older she knew that home meant home to her parents💕
It’s an important song for her, and one of few songs that are about herself😊
It went viral on TikTok as a filter.
It was also played in the series “The Following”👍
She has so many great songs and performances, it’s difficult to pick a favourite.
    But I recommend:
“Through the eyes of a child” live at Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway) 2017
    The whole concert is epic😍💕
This is also one of her most important songs , and this was played in the Netflix series “The 100” in a very sad scene💕

    Lovely reaction!
Aurora is the total package - singer, songwriter, musician, dancer, producer/arranger, choreographer, and an absolutely lovely human being (and she’s just 26 years old!). She will often perform her songs quite differently - sometimes with her band, other times stripped down to just her and one instrument, a cappella, with full orchestra, etc. - so it is definitely worth listening to different versions of the same song. Also, her videos are mini-masterpieces as well.
A short list of original songs:
Runaway - Nobel Peace Prize concert and her music video
Through the Eyes of a Child - Nidarosdomen concert, my recommendation Live Stripped - VIVO UK Lift
It Happened Quiet - Nidarosdomen concert, but I'd recommend the live at The Current version as well
    Churchyard - Live on KEXP
Winter Bird - Nidarosdomen concert and her music video
Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 - Nobel Peace Prize Concert
    Lucky - Nidarosdomen concert
Little Boy in the Grass - Nidarosdomen concert
The Seed - Music Video, HAIK Concert
The River - Music video, Live in Bergen 2020
Exist For Love - Music video,
    Daydreamer - Music video
She also does some awesome covers:
Life on Mars - David Bowie
    Believer - Imagine Dragons
God is a Woman - Ariana Grande
Across the Universe - John Lennon
    Teardrop - Massive Attack
    Rasputin - Boney M
And of course there is her latest album “The Gods we can Touch” which is pure gold!

Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) - Nobel Peace Prize Concert is an incredibly expressive performance. I'd recommend looking up her interview discssing the meaning of the song before listening to it.

Hello, yes, that was the beginning of a great journey through the depths of music. AURORA's music is very diverse, both in terms of melodies and lyrics. AURORA's movements are not dance. She's living through the story she's singing and she's so far away, she's not on stage. You can see that at the end when it takes her 2-3 seconds to come back to reality.
At the same concert she delivered a masterpiece:
    - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - ruclips.net/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/видео.html
Quotes from AURORA: (Channel Rob For collects quotes from AURORA. Through these little quotes from AURORA, we can see a little more of who she is.)
    - ruclips.net/video/x22GYwnZ9D4/видео.html - 15.01.2015
    Interviewer:
You always dream about becoming a singer-songwriter, a pop star or did it just come up to you like a dream?
    AURORA:
Well yeah, well I never wanted to be a pop star. I never wanted to stand on stage. That was not my dream. I never dreamed of it and I didn't really think about it that much I just needed to write songs to you know for my own sake. But then my mother told me that I should share these songs and so I did. And now I'm here. So no, I didn't plan to be in front of a band or something like that.
    - ruclips.net/video/sfAi4UD-xBk/видео.html - 05.02.2021
I didn't like school. I still don't like school. I think it's important to learn and I love learning stuff but I don't like school so much because it's not made for energetic weird children and I was a very energetic and weird child.
    - ruclips.net/video/_PAPMvHq74E/видео.html - 22.07.2018
I think it just make sense to be nice to everything that lives. It's kind of like we're all one body or like one mind but just split up in a thousand people. We are kind of like, if I hurt you then I hurt myself. If you are in pain then I am in pain because we're kind of one because we have one thing in common which is a life. You know, so it just makes sense doesn't it.
Enjoy music and have a nice day
