Not sure if anyone's said it yet, but Grim Foxy's hook is a sickle, which serves a similar job to a scythe in terms of what they actually do in farm work, but instead of being held with both hands with the hook placed at a pretty far distance from the body, the handle is much smaller with a proportionally much larger blade that has a much more intense curve to it. Personally, I think sickles are cooler than scythes, and I think the design is pretty sick.
I dont think Foxy is irrelevant. He's evolved. Notice how hes the only memeber of the band who hasnt changed. Glamrock Freddy and Chica are very different from the originals, Bonnie doesnt exist, but Foxy is still just a pirate fox. And the legacy of Captain Foxy is all over the pizzaplex, man is an icon

About Glamrock Foxys existence its possible he was the initial daycare attendant based off of how kids cove is linked to the daycare and how Sun/Moon arent the first daycare attendant but a sloppy replacement job.
I think that maybe Captain Foxy’s Pirate Adventure was a ride first, and then got turned into a movie. Similarly to how Pirates of the Caribbean was originally an attraction at Disneyland, and then had a movie based on it.
Plundering maritime trade routes is hard, dangerous, and often thankless work, so it makes me glad to see that pirates are still getting a decent amount of media representation in the current day, allowing kids to learn about this line of work through their favorite characters.
I think its cause he was unique compared to the original cast. While the others were fully put together he was torn up. People are usually more drawn to characters that feel more rough. I think its part of the whole pack bonding thing humans have, where we even humanize roombas.
Eventually he became less unique as other 'torn up/weathered' animatronics were made, and while the designs of the others evolved greatly, foxys barely evolved past 'torn up fox animatronic'
Mangle deserves their own game Bruh. Angers me to no end how much of the OG cast is completely neglected. Mangle easily has the richest lore potential with a lot of unexplored avenues, namely being where the second head came from and why they have a weird poodle/rabbit tail.
Idea(s?): Mangle tried to appeal to younger kids y'know, so why not make her a poodle? Of course, the kids would swiftly destroy him, leading to repairs being needed to be done. Perhaps they added a little companion to her. He, of course, just got broken too many times that they just left her to the cruel fingers of children
The Serpent Mangle design is a reference to the Aztec gods Quetzalcoatl and Xolotl who were twins, Quetzalcoatl is a neutral being that is opposites all in one where they bring life but are sacrificed too. They are known as a feathered serpent and are shown as that in statues and art while Xolotl is shown as a dog who transformed into a axolotl, Xolotl guides dead souls and is a god of fire. The sun and moon may be representative of duality within Aztec mythology and culture that is shown in these two gods.

Foxy was originally quite popular with a lot of discourse around him due to how unique he was and the mystery around why he was all damaged and the belief he did the Bite of 87. However, Bonnie was always the stand out fan-favorite, there just wasn't too much to talk about with him (though the gender debate was big) initially until the FNAF 2 teasers came out. I always find it quite ironic though that out of all of them, Freddy Fazbear himself was the least popular character despite being the title and mascot character.
@@channelorsomething218 Nah, people were simping for Chica even back in the FNAF 1 days. And there was the whole thing with her and the kitchen and her connection to the cupcake in the office. There was a bit of discourse with Freddy in regards to the supposed hand prints and the little girl's laugh he gives off, but he was ultimately overshadowed by Golden Freddy and left at the bottom of the rung in terms of popularity. Funnily enough, I believe the exact same scenario was true for FNAF 2's new cast of toy animatronics and Toy Freddy being overshadowed by everyone else. And then in FNAF 4 he barely showed up if it all during the average playthrough.
I like the almost ghosts of foxy at the pizzaplex, as if he had been there at some point and was replaced by Roxanne. So what if jer anxieties about needing to be the most loved and the best comes from knowing she replaced such an iconic character. There's no "bunny-tailed character" that's fused into Mangle. That's not a bunny tail, it's the ball joint for her big fox tail. He just uses some spare parts. I like to headcanon them as from a scrapped "Toy Foxy" animatronic that was never put to use, which would also explain why Mangle's original form isn't called that.

There's a Foxy inside the princess quest arcade. All the references, movies, the museum, the kid's cove and everything seems to reference to Foxy's days of glory, like he was such a big hit in the past, that they dedicate so much space and merch to him to this day, although he's not actually there
You really made the whole point right in the beginning: people like Foxy because Foxy is a pirate and Foxy is red. Look at the well-loved iterations of Foxy; we have Classic Foxy, Rockstar Foxy, and Grimm Foxy. Now, I don't want to say that the other Foxys don't have their fans, I wholly respect the weird little cult that worships Funtime Foxy, but I think most people can agree that characters like Lolbit, Mangle, Funtime, Phantom, and Nightmare just don't strike that same itch, because they are all Not Pirates, Not Red, or God forbid, both. Except Nightmare Foxy, I guess he meets the minimum, but suffers from an unfortunate case of The Uglies and is a big dumb stupid doo doo head and nobody likes him.

I think it's probably a large chunk to do with the fact that FNAF4 has become a huge black sheep in the story nowadays, coupled with the contemporary opinion that the Nightmare line were "trying too hard," which I've always sat on the fence over. I personally don't like him as much because a.) While I do appreciate his design, I think Foxy especially is a bit overboard on the whole Tryhard thing (would 180 on this opinion in a heartbeat if forked tongue had made it to game), and b.) His mechanic is integral to shaking up the gameplay loop of FNAF4, but that doesn't change the fact that every time I see that closet door do the little jiggle meaning he got in, I swear under my breath because now everything is about 3x harder to manage, and it's directly HIS fault.
I think the reason for Foxy's current irrelevance is that Scott was based on giving him unique characteristics in the gameplay that at the time gave him prominence, but over time the rest of the original cast revealed interesting facts such as Chica was the first, Bonnie's relationship with the murderer, Golden Freddy being a theory machine and Freddy because he is the face of the franchise and that in the end they ended up leaving Foxy with little. what to offer Edit: what i mean whit Bonnie relation whitSince many people are confused, what I mean by "Bonnie's relationship with the killer" is all the importance that rabbits have taken on in FNAF, mainly thanks to William, that is why Bonnie may have taken advantage of this to increase her popularity.
And yet his image and legacy are all over the PizzaPlex as the awesome pirate fox he is. Ruin even reveals that he _did_ have an attraction planned, it was just never finished due to safety concerns. His legacy cannot be overstated. There’s a reason many people think Roxy’s insecurities come from being Foxy’s replacement.

28:55 it is later implied during ruin that foxy was not only supposed to be at the pizza plex, but he had an entire ride. He also had cardboard cutouts of him as a cowboy version. Which tells me he was supposed to either become a Glamrock, or there was a glam foxy at one point.
It still pisses me off how Mangle didn’t get any attention after FNAF 2 or HW. He’s genuinely such an interesting character to me, along with the amazing design. It’s a shame she didn’t get her own game, or even mini game. Maybe this is a unpopular opinion, but I wish Mangle had some sort of an appearance in Security Breach. Even as a cardboard cut-out, it would’ve been cool to see him not forgotten about. Such an interesting and fun character thrown into the shadows.
Mangle was a Toy animatronic too. and The Toys were remove because of the bite. Him being in the fnaf 2 Kinda mess her up you know. They should re-introduce Toys in the other Fanf games other Than Fnaf 2 and Ulitimate custom night and Fnaf world.
Did you forget about how in sister location funtime foxy has a forced jumpscare, making it one of the few canon jumpscares in the series along with being a popular surprising moment within sister location.
I always figured that Roxy was accepted as somewhat of a glamrock version of Foxy, or at least a close enough replacement. Foxes and wolves are both part of the canidae family. Not to mention the similarities in their names. Foxy, Roxy.
My theory was Glamrock Foxy was missing before the Pizzaplex opened, so the original three Glamrocks didn't know he existed. Of course it was most likely Vanny who did it.
I just thought they decommissioned him seeing as how he often was the most dysfunctional of the core four animatronics and since he was always a side attraction anyways, they figured he wouldn’t be missed.

As a casual Grimm foxy enjoyer lemme just say thank you for how much you appreciate him since he’s my favourite animatronic. The only reason I really liked him was because foxy is my favourite animatronic and I like jack o animatronics cause they remind me of Halloween. So seeing Grimm foxy looking something like both just made me really enjoy the character. Literally everything about him just looks so fricking cool. I guess I could also say I’m a fan of his posture too cause he sort of walks around like a old man which sort of fits his character ngl. Grimm foxy is sort of forgotten which I don’t really mind cause he’s not really important anyways. But dang people seriously need to understand how cool his model is. When was it confirmed Bonnie had their own stage? FYI, Foxy was a character before hand. Foxy didn't replace anything, as Bonnie was running down the hall in the trailer to hide Foxys appearance in game until it released.
As much it hurts to say this, I honestly have to agree, even if he's one of my favorite animatronics out of everyone (Withered Foxy is by far my favorite tbh) and literally the reason why I like him is because he's red (which is my favorite color) and he's a pirtae and which pirates are cool, but overall, Foxy is like one completely different out of the rest of the FNaF one animatronics, he's broken down and that's what makes him special and interesting in my eyes.
Man you ain't kidding with that Foxy plush bit, legit one of the clearest memories I have with FNAF was seeing a kid, in public with a Foxy plush, FNAF really is something special. Edit: I also wanna add that the significance of Freddy and Bonnie being shown together a lot nowadays is probably due to the original Fredbear's duo being a bear and a rabbit and since the events at that original location are so important they wanted to keep that theme going forward.
Honestly, im kind of glad bonnie has gotten more attention now. He was my favorite as a kid but foxy always was the center of attention. That being said, foxy will always have a special place in my heart. I think many people are satisfied with roxy because she didn’t completely replace him. Roxy is a lot like a foxy spin off, and I personally see it that way myself. They share a lot of that canine structure and while they are different species there isnt a large difference in terms of animalistic changes in the same way bonnie, freddy, foxy and chica all have wildly different headshapes. Also feel like she’s a cross between the white models and pirate models with her personality. I mean the similar names probably were on purpose too. Its not the same where with Monty he’s a HUGE jump in both design, vibe, and personality
I know it wasn't there when you made this, but in the Ruin DLC, there are several references to Foxy's Log Flume, an old ride that used to be where Roxy Raceway ended up. There's even a couple points where the old structure is important to the gameplay. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of remains of a Foxy animatronic though.
Foxy is still my favorite FNAF character to this day! He’s been my favorite since day one and he always will be my fav, Him and Montgomery Gator are my all time favorites in the franchise. I also really love Roxanne Wolf too, I think she’s a great replacement for Foxy.
I think Foxy was less missed compared to bonnie in security breach because Roxanne is similar enough to a fox while there is no bunny like animatronics

Curse of dread bear has a similar ball shooting mechanism to the Monty Bossfight. Perhaps before Monty took Bonnie out of the picture gator golf was curse of dreadbear. Or perhaps a Halloween reskin. Like Disney’s haunted mansion getting a nightmare before Christmas redesign around Halloween.
Foxy/Mangle's lore is either a plot hole or one of the biggest clues to solving the timeline. Mangle was introduced in 2, changed in 4, and again in World. In its first appearance in Fnaf2 in 1987, Phone guy tells us night 3, "They tried to remake Foxy, you know? Uh, they thought the first one was too scary. So they redesigned him to be more kid friendly and put him in kid's cove. Uh, to keep the toddlers entertained, you know. But kids these days just can't keep their hands to themselves. The staff literally had to put Foxy back together during just every shift. So eventually they just stopped trying and left him in some kind of "take apart, put back together" attraction. Now he's just a mess of parts. I think the employees refer to him as just...the mangle." This would lead us to believe that when they made the toy animatronics, Toy Foxy was too scary, so they made a second Toy Foxy, which they put in kid's cove. Kids would always oull it apart and the staff had to put it back together at the end of every shift. They got tired of doing that, and left it in pieces and called it Mangle. But there was only "a few short weeks" between when the Freddy's with the BRAND NEW Toy Animatronics opened and when it closed. Thats not enough time for the backstory Phone Guy JUST gave us. It wouldn't make sense for all that to happen in the span of 3 weeks. The introduction of Toy Foxy, his retirement, his redesign, how many shifts DID the workers actually put him back together before they gave up on doing their friggin jobs? Less than 3 weeks worth of shifts. Unless Mangle is older than the rest of the Toys. Which is where Fnaf4 takes over, showing us that mangle existed all the way back in 1983 as seen by the Mangle in Crying Child's sister's room and also the Mangle plushy (is that canon?) But it existed. This also implies to me that CC's sister is likely a toddler at this point, as Mangle is said to be pulled apart by toddlers, so it would make sense to make a Mangle pull apart toy for toddlers. Then Fnafworld shows us two different Funtime Foxys and tells us one is the original mangle and the other is from SL. So now Mangle has retroactively always been a Funtime. Fine... but funtimes all have a robot spaghetti endoskeleton and bodies and features made of individually automated plates and panels. Mangle and its original Funtime Foxy do not have those features. They have a traditional endoskeleton and solid body piece design. Which we don't see until the other Toys come out in 1987. Further fuel for the fire is that it only got the name Mangle after having been left in pieces for who knows how long. But by 1983 its already known as the mangle and Fazbear Ent. has already moved on to promoting Mangle as its own character instead of Funtime Foxy. Bottom line Mangle is way older than the rest of the toys that it looks like, or the funtimes that share its name. It would have to be the prototype for the Toys animatronics' bodies, and prototype paint scheme and theme for the funtimes. It also means that when Phone Guy said they redesigned Foxy, he had to be talking about OG Foxy. And also that in 1983 Fredbear's and Freddy's were both open and operating, as we see the bite happen at fredbears (which only had yellow mascots) while the children all have merch of Freddy's characters, including Mangle, who came after the rest of the og Freddy's characters. Heck, that even makes Mangle old enough to re-legitimize Sparky the dog theory. It sounds like work on the first funtime foxy went into effect almost immediately following the og animatronics introduction. So Mangle may have already been Mangle by the time of MCI. Willy kills the dog, lures Suzie in, kills her, the dog, and 3 other kids, making the original 4 plus mangle. Mangle could be one of the first generation of possessed animatronics, not the second. Mind blown. And a dog...? I guess I'm gonna have to do some research on that sparky theory... That would finally explain why there are 4 dead kids in mci, and 4 og animatronics in fnaf 1. While there are and 5 dead kids in mci2 and 6 new animatronics in fnaf 2. One of them is mangle, who was never a dead kid, but Susie's pooch.

Isn't it kinda weird how the Pizzaplex just HAS a few foxy themed merch, posters, cutouts and a whole ATTRACTION for him but no actual Glamrock model in the band? I know this may be a little cringe to bring up, but I kinda headcanon that the Pizzaplex WAS gonna add Glamrock Foxy, but decided to balance out the amount of girls and boys in the band by adding Roxy instead, thus having two boys and two girls. I thought up this headcanon cuz when I saw the Kid's Cove, I personally thought it looked a lot more empty and incomplete than the other attractions.
I think more likely, he would've been similar to characters like DJ Music Man or the Daycare Attendant. It only makes sense, he was never on stage with the others. He likely would've had his own stage and room in the Log Flume attraction instead of being like the others.
Honestly, I’d like a video of you judging the best designs between Scott, FNAF AR, and Steel Wool for each character. That’s what interested me the most while listening.
Foxy will always be my number 1 favourite and heres why. Back when i was like 15 and it was only the first two games i was mostly familiar with the first 4 characters. And foxy was the one that caught my attention. Because i thought as freddy bonnie and chica as the basic ones and foxy was the one that struck me as the odd one out. He was way creepier for me because of how different and wild he was. No new character will replicated the feeling foxy did for me back in the day.
Grim Foxy's animations are also really really awesome and i like them a lot. There's a lot of detail in it, from the fire to the ears flopping around. It really helped it feel real and it genuinely scared me
Yeah, Foxy not being in security breach or security breach ruin made me super sad because he's always been my favorite character. All the former Foxy fans up and ditched for Glam Freddy or Bonnie smh. This was half of my friend group and it was so weird to see. And it lowkey upsets me a lil cause I love what they had set up for him. Like he has his own kid's cove which is pirate themed and he was going to have a log ride. To me, I wish Foxy was in security breach. While I love Roxy I would've liked my boy back or at least Mangle. And also the way everyone jumped for Bonnie to be back after seeing Monty and forgetting about Foxy was odd to me. I think Monty looks cool! Of course, he'll "never be Bonnie🙄" but he has a very unique and cool design. But I understand that everyone on the "he killed Bonnie" bandwagon so that's making most people dislike him. (Personally, I don't believe it much). But to me he's awesome! I love Monty golf and it makes me happy to see a reptile as a main character! I kind of miss Bonnie but I miss Foxy more.
I think the thing about nightmare foxy and nightmare mangle is that their designs are much less of a departure from how they are protrayed normally. Foxy is already pretty run down so that aspect of his nightmare design is a lot less impactful. And with mangle, its even more so. Then again, I dont much about character design, but thats where I think the forgetability of the nightmare fox designs comes from.
Can I just say I absolutely imagined that Funtime Foxy would sound the way they did in UCN. It also happens to be exactly what I thought Mettaton's first form would sound like.

Well he is still considerably popular it’s just that they couldn’t put him in the new game because foxy shouldn’t change because he’s perfect. His entire persona is literally from start to finish the same. Foxy is important because he is a road between the new and old and he retains what he was unlike all the other ones who have constantly changed
Bonnie was always my favorite, and let me tell you us Bonnie fans were eating. He was introduced in Fnaf 1, he has the most iconic withered design in Fnaf 2, and in Fnaf 3 and beyond his alternate design is the main antagonist Springtrap.

Personally, I think the reason people have become more hyped for Bonnie is because Bonnie tended to be shoved aside due to Springtrap. In fnaf 3, Bonnie was completely absent except for Springtrap (which yes is a bonnie suit but he is a more seperated character). In sister location, Bonnie got hand puppeted whereas foxy at least had a full animatronic. In fnaf 6, both Bonnie and Foxy got only rockstars because like you said in the video, the actual enemies were more lore based characters. Nowadays though, both Foxy and Bonnie have tended to be just shover aside, especially with SB just outright not having them (except for the glam bonnie corpse in Ruin)
We know that Mangle’s tail is definitely not her own, and probably the second characters, but I find it odd that magician mangle or whatever the name is has bunny ears on the endo’s head. It adds to the fact that Mangle has a bunny tail.
Honestly I don't think Foxy was at the pizzaplex, but I feel like he WAS going to be added into it. (In the game's timeline of course) My theory is that he would've likely replaced comedy bot (who replaced sun/moon) in the daycare theatre. Would certainly explain all of the Foxy stuff near the daycare and why Freddy doesn't mention anything about Foxy.

The Grim Foxy hook is a sickle

Not sure if anyone's said it yet, but Grim Foxy's hook is a sickle, which serves a similar job to a scythe in terms of what they actually do in farm work, but instead of being held with both hands with the hook placed at a pretty far distance from the body, the handle is much smaller with a proportionally much larger blade that has a much more intense curve to it. Personally, I think sickles are cooler than scythes, and I think the design is pretty sick.
I personally am reminded of how black butler has all sorts of gardening tools for the grim reapers in that universe.

I think its cause he was unique compared to the original cast. While the others were fully put together he was torn up. People are usually more drawn to characters that feel more rough. I think its part of the whole pack bonding thing humans have, where we even humanize roombas.
Eventually he became less unique as other 'torn up/weathered' animatronics were made, and while the designs of the others evolved greatly, foxys barely evolved past 'torn up fox animatronic'

They are known as a feathered serpent and are shown as that in statues and art while Xolotl is shown as a dog who transformed into a axolotl, Xolotl guides dead souls and is a god of fire. The sun and moon may be representative of duality within Aztec mythology and culture that is shown in these two gods.

Foxy was originally quite popular with a lot of discourse around him due to how unique he was and the mystery around why he was all damaged and the belief he did the Bite of 87. However, Bonnie was always the stand out fan-favorite, there just wasn't too much to talk about with him (though the gender debate was big) initially until the FNAF 2 teasers came out.
I always find it quite ironic though that out of all of them, Freddy Fazbear himself was the least popular character despite being the title and mascot character.

There's no "bunny-tailed character" that's fused into Mangle. That's not a bunny tail, it's the ball joint for her big fox tail. He just uses some spare parts. I like to headcanon them as from a scrapped "Toy Foxy" animatronic that was never put to use, which would also explain why Mangle's original form isn't called that.

All the references, movies, the museum, the kid's cove and everything seems to reference to Foxy's days of glory, like he was such a big hit in the past, that they dedicate so much space and merch to him to this day, although he's not actually there
You really made the whole point right in the beginning: people like Foxy because Foxy is a pirate and Foxy is red.
Look at the well-loved iterations of Foxy; we have Classic Foxy, Rockstar Foxy, and Grimm Foxy. Now, I don't want to say that the other Foxys don't have their fans, I wholly respect the weird little cult that worships Funtime Foxy, but I think most people can agree that characters like Lolbit, Mangle, Funtime, Phantom, and Nightmare just don't strike that same itch, because they are all Not Pirates, Not Red, or God forbid, both. Except Nightmare Foxy, I guess he meets the minimum, but suffers from an unfortunate case of The Uglies and is a big dumb stupid doo doo head and nobody likes him.

I think it's probably a large chunk to do with the fact that FNAF4 has become a huge black sheep in the story nowadays, coupled with the contemporary opinion that the Nightmare line were "trying too hard," which I've always sat on the fence over. I personally don't like him as much because a.) While I do appreciate his design, I think Foxy especially is a bit overboard on the whole Tryhard thing (would 180 on this opinion in a heartbeat if forked tongue had made it to game), and b.) His mechanic is integral to shaking up the gameplay loop of FNAF4, but that doesn't change the fact that every time I see that closet door do the little jiggle meaning he got in, I swear under my breath because now everything is about 3x harder to manage, and it's directly HIS fault.
I think the reason for Foxy's current irrelevance is that Scott was based on giving him unique characteristics in the gameplay that at the time gave him prominence, but over time the rest of the original cast revealed interesting facts such as Chica was the first, Bonnie's relationship with the murderer, Golden Freddy being a theory machine and Freddy because he is the face of the franchise and that in the end they ended up leaving Foxy with little. what to offer

28:55 it is later implied during ruin that foxy was not only supposed to be at the pizza plex, but he had an entire ride. He also had cardboard cutouts of him as a cowboy version. Which tells me he was supposed to either become a Glamrock, or there was a glam foxy at one point.

It still pisses me off how Mangle didn’t get any attention after FNAF 2 or HW. He’s genuinely such an interesting character to me, along with the amazing design. It’s a shame she didn’t get her own game, or even mini game. Maybe this is a unpopular opinion, but I wish Mangle had some sort of an appearance in Security Breach. Even as a cardboard cut-out, it would’ve been cool to see him not forgotten about. Such an interesting and fun character thrown into the shadows.

Did you forget about how in sister location funtime foxy has a forced jumpscare, making it one of the few canon jumpscares in the series along with being a popular surprising moment within sister location.
I always figured that Roxy was accepted as somewhat of a glamrock version of Foxy, or at least a close enough replacement. Foxes and wolves are both part of the canidae family. Not to mention the similarities in their names. Foxy, Roxy.
My theory was Glamrock Foxy was missing before the Pizzaplex opened, so the original three Glamrocks didn't know he existed. Of course it was most likely Vanny who did it.
I just thought they decommissioned him seeing as how he often was the most dysfunctional of the core four animatronics and since he was always a side attraction anyways, they figured he wouldn’t be missed.
I'm fairly certain Vanny was hired after the pizza plex opened, which entirely disproves this theory because it means she couldn't have done anything with out being caught.

As a casual Grimm foxy enjoyer lemme just say thank you for how much you appreciate him since he’s my favourite animatronic. The only reason I really liked him was because foxy is my favourite animatronic and I like jack o animatronics cause they remind me of Halloween. So seeing Grimm foxy looking something like both just made me really enjoy the character. Literally everything about him just looks so fricking cool. I guess I could also say I’m a fan of his posture too cause he sort of walks around like a old man which sort of fits his character ngl. FYI, Foxy was a character before hand. Foxy didn't replace anything, as Bonnie was running down the hall in the trailer to hide Foxys appearance in game until it released.
As much it hurts to say this, I honestly have to agree, even if he's one of my favorite animatronics out of everyone (Withered Foxy is by far my favorite tbh) and literally the reason why I like him is because he's red (which is my favorite color) and he's a pirtae and which pirates are cool, but overall, Foxy is like one completely different out of the rest of the FNaF one animatronics, he's broken down and that's what makes him special and interesting in my eyes.
Man you ain't kidding with that Foxy plush bit, legit one of the clearest memories I have with FNAF was seeing a kid, in public with a Foxy plush, FNAF really is something special.
Edit: I also wanna add that the significance of Freddy and Bonnie being shown together a lot nowadays is probably due to the original Fredbear's duo being a bear and a rabbit and since the events at that original location are so important they wanted to keep that theme going forward.
Honestly, im kind of glad bonnie has gotten more attention now. He was my favorite as a kid but foxy always was the center of attention. That being said, foxy will always have a special place in my heart. I think many people are satisfied with roxy because she didn’t completely replace him. Roxy is a lot like a foxy spin off, and I personally see it that way myself. They share a lot of that canine structure and while they are different species there isnt a large difference in terms of animalistic changes in the same way bonnie, freddy, foxy and chica all have wildly different headshapes. Also feel like she’s a cross between the white models and pirate models with her personality. I mean the similar names probably were on purpose too. Its not the same where with Monty he’s a HUGE jump in both design, vibe, and personality
I know it wasn't there when you made this, but in the Ruin DLC, there are several references to Foxy's Log Flume, an old ride that used to be where Roxy Raceway ended up. There's even a couple points where the old structure is important to the gameplay. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of remains of a Foxy animatronic though.
Foxy is still my favorite FNAF character to this day! He’s been my favorite since day one and he always will be my fav, Him and Montgomery Gator are my all time favorites in the franchise. I also really love Roxanne Wolf too, I think she’s a great replacement for Foxy.

Foxy/Mangle's lore is either a plot hole or one of the biggest clues to solving the timeline. Mangle was introduced in 2, changed in 4, and again in World.
In its first appearance in Fnaf2 in 1987, Phone guy tells us night 3, "They tried to remake Foxy, you know? Uh, they thought the first one was too scary. So they redesigned him to be more kid friendly and put him in kid's cove. Uh, to keep the toddlers entertained, you know. But kids these days just can't keep their hands to themselves. The staff literally had to put Foxy back together during just every shift. So eventually they just stopped trying and left him in some kind of "take apart, put back together" attraction. Now he's just a mess of parts. I think the employees refer to him as just...the mangle."
This would lead us to believe that when they made the toy animatronics, Toy Foxy was too scary, so they made a second Toy Foxy, which they put in kid's cove. Kids would always oull it apart and the staff had to put it back together at the end of every shift. They got tired of doing that, and left it in pieces and called it Mangle. But there was only "a few short weeks" between when the Freddy's with the BRAND NEW Toy Animatronics opened and when it closed. Thats not enough time for the backstory Phone Guy JUST gave us. It wouldn't make sense for all that to happen in the span of 3 weeks. The introduction of Toy Foxy, his retirement, his redesign, how many shifts DID the workers actually put him back together before they gave up on doing their friggin jobs? Less than 3 weeks worth of shifts. Unless Mangle is older than the rest of the Toys.
Which is where Fnaf4 takes over, showing us that mangle existed all the way back in 1983 as seen by the Mangle in Crying Child's sister's room and also the Mangle plushy (is that canon?) But it existed. This also implies to me that CC's sister is likely a toddler at this point, as Mangle is said to be pulled apart by toddlers, so it would make sense to make a Mangle pull apart toy for toddlers.
Then Fnafworld shows us two different Funtime Foxys and tells us one is the original mangle and the other is from SL. So now Mangle has retroactively always been a Funtime.
Fine... but funtimes all have a robot spaghetti endoskeleton and bodies and features made of individually automated plates and panels. Mangle and its original Funtime Foxy do not have those features. They have a traditional endoskeleton and solid body piece design. Which we don't see until the other Toys come out in 1987.
Further fuel for the fire is that it only got the name Mangle after having been left in pieces for who knows how long. But by 1983 its already known as the mangle and Fazbear Ent. has already moved on to promoting Mangle as its own character instead of Funtime Foxy. Bottom line Mangle is way older than the rest of the toys that it looks like, or the funtimes that share its name. It would have to be the prototype for the Toys animatronics' bodies, and prototype paint scheme and theme for the funtimes. It also means that when Phone Guy said they redesigned Foxy, he had to be talking about OG Foxy. And also that in 1983 Fredbear's and Freddy's were both open and operating, as we see the bite happen at fredbears (which only had yellow mascots) while the children all have merch of Freddy's characters, including Mangle, who came after the rest of the og Freddy's characters.
Heck, that even makes Mangle old enough to re-legitimize Sparky the dog theory. It sounds like work on the first funtime foxy went into effect almost immediately following the og animatronics introduction. So Mangle may have already been Mangle by the time of MCI. Willy kills the dog, lures Suzie in, kills her, the dog, and 3 other kids, making the original 4 plus mangle. Mangle could be one of the first generation of possessed animatronics, not the second. Mind blown. And a dog...? I guess I'm gonna have to do some research on that sparky theory... That would finally explain why there are 4 dead kids in mci, and 4 og animatronics in fnaf 1. While there are and 5 dead kids in mci2 and 6 new animatronics in fnaf 2. One of them is mangle, who was never a dead kid, but Susie's pooch.

The one thing with Mangle that I'm curious about isn't the gender. It's where that second head came from.
Isn't it kinda weird how the Pizzaplex just HAS a few foxy themed merch, posters, cutouts and a whole ATTRACTION for him but no actual Glamrock model in the band? I know this may be a little cringe to bring up, but I kinda headcanon that the Pizzaplex WAS gonna add Glamrock Foxy, but decided to balance out the amount of girls and boys in the band by adding Roxy instead, thus having two boys and two girls. I thought up this headcanon cuz when I saw the Kid's Cove, I personally thought it looked a lot more empty and incomplete than the other attractions.
I think more likely, he would've been similar to characters like DJ Music Man or the Daycare Attendant. It only makes sense, he was never on stage with the others. He likely would've had his own stage and room in the Log Flume attraction instead of being like the others.

Foxy will always be my number 1 favourite and heres why. Back when i was like 15 and it was only the first two games i was mostly familiar with the first 4 characters. And foxy was the one that caught my attention. Because i thought as freddy bonnie and chica as the basic ones and foxy was the one that struck me as the odd one out. He was way creepier for me because of how different and wild he was. No new character will replicated the feeling foxy did for me back in the day.

Yeah, Foxy not being in security breach or security breach ruin made me super sad because he's always been my favorite character. All the former Foxy fans up and ditched for Glam Freddy or Bonnie smh. This was half of my friend group and it was so weird to see. And it lowkey upsets me a lil cause I love what they had set up for him. Like he has his own kid's cove which is pirate themed and he was going to have a log ride. To me, I wish Foxy was in security breach. While I love Roxy I would've liked my boy back or at least Mangle. And also the way everyone jumped for Bonnie to be back after seeing Monty and forgetting about Foxy was odd to me. I think Monty looks cool! Of course, he'll "never be Bonnie🙄" but he has a very unique and cool design. But I understand that everyone on the "he killed Bonnie" bandwagon so that's making most people dislike him. (Personally, I don't believe it much). But to me he's awesome! I love Monty golf and it makes me happy to see a reptile as a main character! I kind of miss Bonnie but I miss Foxy more.
Don't really miss Bonnie that much. Like the Bonnie Bowl design rather than actual design. Monty is cool also.

I think the thing about nightmare foxy and nightmare mangle is that their designs are much less of a departure from how they are protrayed normally. Foxy is already pretty run down so that aspect of his nightmare design is a lot less impactful. And with mangle, its even more so.
Then again, I dont much about character design, but thats where I think the forgetability of the nightmare fox designs comes from.

It's because the new games have colourful, shiny animatronics the newer fans enjoy, while the older fans are left with the lore and MatPat
I will say that the game hits different when playing in VR. Especially in how you get a good perspective into how big these animatronics are.

His entire persona is literally from start to finish the same. Foxy is important because he is a road between the new and old and he retains what he was unlike all the other ones who have constantly changed
Bonnie was always my favorite, and let me tell you us Bonnie fans were eating. He was introduced in Fnaf 1, he has the most iconic withered design in Fnaf 2, and in Fnaf 3 and beyond his alternate design is the main antagonist Springtrap.
I will say one of the main reasons foxy's overshadowed at this point. It's because of his absence in security breach what was the nostalgia train of the new five nights at phrase movie you might see the resurgence of foxy. Love soon.

25:19 Grim Foxy’s hook is actually a Sickle. A farming tool that is also a great weapon. Death from Puss in boots uses two of them as his weapon of choice because it’s a good replacement for a scythe. Which would explain why he has one as a hook.

Personally, I think the reason people have become more hyped for Bonnie is because Bonnie tended to be shoved aside due to Springtrap. In fnaf 3, Bonnie was completely absent except for Springtrap (which yes is a bonnie suit but he is a more seperated character). In sister location, Bonnie got hand puppeted whereas foxy at least had a full animatronic. In fnaf 6, both Bonnie and Foxy got only rockstars because like you said in the video, the actual enemies were more lore based characters. Nowadays though, both Foxy and Bonnie have tended to be just shover aside, especially with SB just outright not having them (except for the glam bonnie corpse in Ruin)

We know that Mangle’s tail is definitely not her own, and probably the second characters, but I find it odd that magician mangle or whatever the name is has bunny ears on the endo’s head. It adds to the fact that Mangle has a bunny tail.
