- The 2020 Range Rover Evoque looks like a miniature Velar. The first and second generation Evoques are very similar in size. The length hasn’t changed, but the new model is slightly wider and has longer wheelbase. This means there’s more room inside. Thanks to chunky looks the Range Rover Evoque always looked larger, than it really is. But it is not a BMW X3 competitor. It turns out it’s the size of Audi Q3, BMW X1, Jaguar E-Pace, Mercedes-Benz GLA or Volvo XC40. The new Range Rover Evoque is shorter than all of them, but also slightly wider.
Starting price: 38 000 euro

I just bought a 2012 evoque and IM IN LOVE. I'm a massage therapist though and the massage table goes up to the roof so yeah I wish mine had that rear camera cuz I'm always traveling with my table.

I prefer the rear taillights from the previous generation but yes the front looks beautiful!
Sure, I would need the rear camera shown in mirror, because it's hard to see when the rear seats full of passenger and block the sight

or if you are med-large dog owner , when my dog is in the back trunk i can not see anything in my 2014 evoque
or if you were towing -and can check the load
So what you do then is.. use the side mirrors... many thousands of vans are on the roads that do this with no issues whatsoever
The rear camera is one of the best features. I didn’t think I’d like to but now I’ve had the car for a few months I love that feature

Definitely would need that camera when driving super lengthy moving vans. Would have been useful. Then again, a reversing camera would suffice.
The camera is a great addition, I test drove one of them recently… have 2 kids and constantly have stuff at the back like most families… great addition if you ask me
The camera rear view mirror is a great idea for those with tunnel vision. The back pillars in the rear restrict the view of the outside.

1. the fifth person blocks the rear view
2. it crammed by my 6-person family camping gear (easily stacked up to roof in my V250d)
Yep I would like that mirror , I am always loading my car up and can’t see out. I’m fine with just seeing everything through these but a mirror like this for me would be a great help

Fair enough. I never load up any car like that. Also I'm used to driving panel vans, so I can do without the central rear view mirror.

Even if JLR doesn't have a very responsive infotainment system I like the design of the interface. The icons, the animations, colors it just feels very modern compared to ones from a Porsche or a Maserati. Their UI looks like Android from 2010.

Great to hear infotainment system is not slow, as all reviewers are saying about latest JLR cars.
This double screen infotainment is OK, but the single screen like in the updated Jaguar F-Pace or newish LRDS may still be slow.
Bent my headrest with a "hollow gas pipe i normally use as a breaker bar", just put some duct tape around the shafts to keep it from scratching. I do this with all my cars. I don't think you had it set (mode) in All Wheel Drive going up the grass. AWD only works in a Mode, or when the car senses slipping

I think the Evoque is better with the Panoramic Sunroof as it is Claustrophobic in the rear.
Very true, didn't have the budget to splurge on the sunroof but definitely, wish I did.
PSCavalier 95 I have to say that i would order it without. Everytime I'm in the back I prefer it with the roof closed, even though the windows are tinted. Just at night it looks really amazig watching the stars while driving on the autobahn.

I do use the camera mirror most times
Android auto only works if you use a compatible USB cable. Use the OEM one from your phone.
Android Auto works in most other cars with whatever cable I have on me.

And a great number of those people “who say how bad JLR’s reliability is” have never owned one, but they do like repeating what they’ve heard from Internet and magazine gossip. An unfortunate byproduct is that a lot of buyers then miss out.
I’m speaking from the experience of having owned 6 new, or near new LR products, over the last 9 years and over 300,000 miles - 5 of them bought and maintained with my own money.

The rear view camera is brilliant, the fact you dont think so makes me question the value of your overall opinion. It could be that you are older and innovation or technology is challenging for you. Not sure
As I said, I've driven cars with no central rear view mirror, and I didn't find them particularly challenging. IMO this mirror camera business is just a gimmick. But if you find it useful, there's your USP.

I chose the Evoque over an X1 - the Evoque feels more special and is more comfortable as a motorway cruiser. The BMW handles better, but has a firmer ride and for me these cars aren't really meant to be sporty..... The 2021 Evoque has an impreoved infotainment system - mine has worked faultlessly (so far....)

O see couple of new evoques in dealership before few days and must say that only high spec look great but i think i sow basic or low spec and nothing special about look. If you want to buy this car in right look you must have lot of money.
Just ordered mine in an s model, and have to agree. Still satisfied but it's definitely not the same as the higher models.
Land Rover/Range Rover cars are generally overpriced by about 15 to 20% compared to rivals in the UK. Frankly, they have so many models that end up in the £50,000 to £70,000 mark after specifying a few extras that others provide as standard, that they tend to cannibalise sales from their own brand rather than from rivals. It is a massive issue of mismanagement and lack of product planning. Even so, I love their vehicles and have put down a dealer deposit on the forthcoming LR 'Defender'. Hoping for delivery by next March. If I don't like it I could always buy a Discovery Sport or Discovery5 instead.

The rear camera is genius if, like me, you have the back seats folded down and a massive dog in the back blocking your vision.

Hopefully the world is coming to the realisation that hybrid and all electric cars isn't the solution some are portraying it to be. 10 years of development and the addition of a mild hybrid system has resulted in an increase in fuel consumption, and a heavier and more expensive car. Pity you can't specify it without all that crap and save yourself a few quid!

I don't know. I don't have an iPhone.
With the new software, that you can update yourself via wifi, you have apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
I think the new Evoque looks very slick and will age very well. It just looks great without even trying - classic minimalism.. But other than that, I'm not sure what this offers over a Q5 or X3. I get exterior dimensions say it's a X1, Q3 competitor but it has very generous interior dimensions because of it's transverse engine packaging and it's price puts it up against the X3... even the Porsche Macan.
As for that rearview mirror design, wait until you have some fat headed friend of your child sitting in the middle rear seat Marek.... hypothetically of course ;)

A typical nouveau riche car. Not very beautiful, not really the best in its class, way too expensive but it’s an old brand with long tradition!
I had hoped Land Rover/ Range Rover might've gone bust by now. Alas! It appears we have to put up a little longer with these hopelessly overpriced, badly made and pretentious monstrosities clogging up British roads.
Old Man of the Woods spot on, the Emperors new clothes comes to mind, looks good on the outside , but underneath lurks an ugly experience for anyone stupid enough to buy one. But after 70 years LR have at last managed to make bodies that don't rot away so fast.
