a question: molecules are anharmonic vibrators in general then why we drew the levels for rotational vibrators in a perfect parabola? doesn't perfect parabola represent simple harmonic oscillator? or is it because we are just considering the fundamental line where AHO is still parabola and not the higher levels of vibrational quantum number?

Mam i think u did mistake while writing the total energy bcz u wrote vibrational energy in unitsof cm inverse and rotational energy in units of joules . rotational energy should be divided by hc to correct the equation .please answer this comment if im rong
