Van Damme said the toughest training he ever did was actually for ballet. He danced in the National Ballet for a long time and it's the one thing he doesn't want to do again....too brutal.
Ballet dancers might be stereotypically viewed as sissies but that couldn't be further from the truth, they're freakishly strong and the physical demands of being a performer are brutal.
That jumping split kick Van Damme does really shows off his flexibility. He doesn't even kick out his legs, they almost swing out like pendulums.
This shows how athletic JCVD was .. great video guys as always . And i would like to see a jujimufu collab ❤️❤️
It was really his balket training that helped him do those moves seem flawless. His skill's legit, if u ask me.
@@brianvalencia7717 yeah he was a freak athlete in his prime. Can't find a proof if he's a legit fighter but i heared he did win some karate tournament back in the day ..

I feel like doing this without the blonde European karate guys (either of the Enkamp brothers) isn't really right.
Wonderboy is such a nice guy it masks how intensely competitive he is. You can see he really wants to win the dance contest.
Also, this needed --
1) Karate Champ video game from Bloodsport
2) Beating up a sports team mascot from Sudden Death
3) Speed bag kicking from Bloodsport (thats actually a really impressive one)
4) Drop split groin strike from Bloodsport
Unfortunately, it seems like Sweet T inherited the dancing genes lol
Thank you so much brothers, this was absolutely hilarious and so relevant to anyone who grew up in the 80s w Van Damme movies. The selection of challenges especially the last dance one really cracked me up! And Stephen Thompson won the dance challenge in terms of being a copy of the original.

I always thought the banana tree thing was epic until I tried it. They're squishy as. Softer than a heavy bag. Biggest problem with kicking them was all the fluid spraying out each kick.
the thing I love about your collaboration vids is the wholesomeness behind them. There's no competing egos between any of the guests. It's just you and a bunch of fellow martial artists just having fun experimenting with the arts that you love.

What I really love about this channel is that you don't have to be a perfect martial artist even if you're a high belt rank. You don't have to know everything and be excellent at everything if you have a black belt or if you've been training for a long time. I truly love your videos and the dance at the end lol.😂

every challenge was great…. but the final one made me burst out laughin for 2 minutes, probably the loudest I ever have. Thanks so much for this great flashback to my ‚martial childhood‘ when we watched way too many, practically all martial arts movies.

I have been training to get back to that level.
