I was friends with him in High School. We knew him as Barom. He was always a down-to-earth guy and always humble even though he was so smart and talented. We were pretty good friends. He used to play in a hardcore metal band with my other best friends. We used to go pitting at hardcore shows together. I never knew he was struggling with mental health issues. I actually got diagnosed with bipolar last year. Miss ya Barom.
His looks -☠️💣⛓⛏🔪⚠️✖️🏴☠️ DPRIAN- 💘🧚♂️🦄💐✨🌈🍬💖 I got to know a whole new side of him, this was so interesting and fascinating listening to his story, I love how honest he is, love him for that ❣️
I never really listen to artists doing interviews and I recently found out about him and watched this video. I was so interested in his story and how he is so honest that watched the whole interview.
he directed a lot of Kpop MVs like Mino's Body, Taeyang's Wake me up, Bobby‘s Hol Up, Loco‘s Movie Shoot, and more. That is where I knew him, then I get to explore his discography. He is very talented.
@@viki7268 Yeah, making Bobby's Hold Up literally open doors for him. It was his first chances as a director and he managed to impress YG side that they ask him to direct Mino's mv as well. Since then, he becomes one of the sought out directors in South Korea.
I could listen to him talk all day, seriously. I love that he is himself and the way he shares his story and emotions with us. Ian is an amazing person and artist. I am very proud for all the recognition that he's finally receiving, I think that everyone needs to know DPR because their art and their history can be a great inspiration to move forward and pursue our dreams, they also give us comfort and for me it is inexplicable everything that they make me feel. Simply the best, they heal anyone, they deserve all the good that is to come, they deserve the world!
I feel his pain... Fersure... I choose to e unmedicated though because I want to learn how to navigate my life and emotions in a healthy way and try hard to not rely on a crutch. I appreciate his vulnerability so much and since I've gotten into kpop heavy, it's awesome to hear someone's perspective that's been in that genre
back to create an edit and my dreamers heart is utterly moved by the many comments i'd overlooked as his Stationhead airing began right after-- but your words stand out the most♡ ian shares such Raw glimpses of himself often with us, more so in these last couple years, but this interview was truly so open into explaining this multiverse of mito he has created and just continues to be INSPIRING. be it mito or miito and the eventual trilogy (i imagine will be named as miiito) to the intimate lives ian has spent his journey gifting, there is something special about touching base on taboo topics such as mental health and the passion held for his craft♡ behind the camera or back in front since c-clown, we are indescribably grateful for the impact these artworks have left in our lives. it goes without saying, Dabin Scott Cr-- All of DPR crew are truly deserving of all the love they have worked hard to share as creators in their many outlets. we gang gang and await Regime World Tour with open arms. we gang gang and love you goofs. irrevocably, ALWAYS.

I’m blown away by how honest he is. As someone who deals with mental illness and a personality disorder, I never talk about how I feel to anyone. It’s so scary to open up because I fear being judged (especially as a professional) and I HATE feeling vulnerable. The fact that he’s using a platform to talk about something so personal takes SO much courage. I really can’t believe he has the balls AND the grit to take charge of, to channel his disorder into art like this. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of organization and determination even for someone without a mental illness. But for him to accomplish this and communicate how he feels so well is literally mind blowing to me.
I'm totally the same way, I hate being vulnerable and I'm working with my therapist on it lol but I also wanted to say that I love your username, it's so funny lmao
Christian really said “Let’s go to Korea with absolutely no plan and knock on stranger’s doors to start a dancing cult 😻”. Such a role model 🤧 Bouta start a DPR movement in my school to raise disorder awareness with no plan nor people. 😙🤞
I never found someone so interesting ever i‘m not joking. He is so well spoken and the honesty is VERY appreciated. The insight he is giving us is unreal. Especially the talk about how he deals or works with his illness. When he said that in a sense he abuses it even, especially his lows really hit. Like i‘m learning so much just listening to him talk about so many different topics. Everyone who isn’t giving him as a person and artist a chance is missing out on so many things. But as much i appreciate him, I also hope he gets better and can manage his illness and not destroy himself for the sake of creating art
ive been feeling this way about creating art as someone eith a bipolar disorder myself. i saw the old music and lyrics that i made and it touches my soul. i cant do things like that anymore because i cant feel the pain. but my sound is more positive now lol.
He says he finds beauty in building something beautiful then to destroy it. That's what he's trying to do to himself, I also hope he will heal, when he's finished telling his story.
Often it isn't something an artist can control. Idk if that's what he is experiencing, but I and other friends in the entertainment industry also have no choice but to make the art. We don't have a choice as it consumes us completely and if we didn't make the art we would be destroyed anyway.
That whole movement dance thing just sounds like he was manic 😂 been there done that. I just love his honesty and he's so well spoken, I really admire this man and hearing him talk about his mental illness is healing to me as I too am living with bipolar disorder (but type 2)
Literally came from tiktok because of his looks so i thought lets see what this hottie has to say. The moment he started talking i was hooked. Never heard of anybody this interesting and well spoken. He is so honest. He could talk about vaccum cleaners in a interview and i would listen.
Bro was getting interviewed and then started interviewing the interviewer lmao. No but fr I love this man so much, his music is amazing and he’s so genuine and honest.
Listening to DPR IAN share his story today was an emotional and proud moment for DREAMers. Ian has put his heart and soul into Moodswings In To Order. He exposes the deepest and darkest parts of himself without hesitation or apology. There is no one else like him and the DPR team. He deserves all love and attention he's getting through this project. MIITO truly is a work of art, both sonically and visually. A beautifully broken magnum opus. Thanks, Ian, and thanks to the whole DPR team. DPR we gang gang. And thank you, Zach, for a thoughtful and empathetic interview. I hope you'll invite Ian back again as well as do an interview with DPR LIVE in the future too.
I think it's incredibly brave for him to go on a show like this and be so candid about his mental health especially when he is in a low state. Being vulnerable is never easy even when you're in a mellow mindset let alone when you aren't and you know what you say is going to be watched by a lot of people. I've only just begun to listen to his music but I really appreciate how open and brave he is as a person.
Finally DPR IAN gets as well his deserved attention to his art and team. So freaking happy for it. Dear Zack thank you for letting him express some of his deepest feelings...without interrupting....really appreciative....
Yess, i am kicking myself for only being a fan since july this year. A girl mentioned DPR to me in early 2021 and I thought dpr was a weird name and forgot about the name. Now I religiously stan dpr live and dpr ian.
funny thing is that Dan's reaction to Ian was like all of us reaction to getting to know him, like, his so freaking fascinating and brilliant! Christian could talk for hours and hours and I don't think I would ever get tired of hearing him
I have huge respect for his honesty, opening up about his bipolar management like living your life trying to deal with your mental health is draining. I have a genetic anger issues that throughout my puberty I went through hell and lost myself until one day I decided to learn how to understand myself more and control my outbursts . I'm 24 years old now and still learning about how to control it cause I lost so many days of my life being pissed off all day or snap at everything or losing it when stressed. Thanks Ian for giving me strength to fight even more now, sending love and strength to you and everyone else ❤
We can see how a good listener and an empathetic person Ian is when Zach feels comfortable enough to tell a part of his story. He reciprocated the attention the interviewer gave him.
I am honestly so fascinated by Christian, just listening to his story and seeing him being completely raw and open just truly amazes me... Listening to him talk about the story idea with the clown god and each character was so fascinating to me because it was so creative and I love it... He is very intriguing to me and I can't wait to hear more from him!
I love the fact that Ian keeps getting more beautiful to me as i listen to him talk his personality is just as beautiful as his looks God bless this talented kind man
He has more talent in his little finger than 90% of K-pop idols. He is unique and charismatic. The twist at the end where they switch roles is funny yet endearing, and showcases Ian's ability to make people open up the same way Zach does.
He’s so down to earth and deep, it’s rare to find people like him. He’s genuinely a fascinating person and I love hearing about all of this and listening to his art 🖤
Not only am I suffering from bipolar disorder, but also obsessive-compulsive disorder, mysophobia, and depression. I used to be very creative, but gradually lost interest in everything. Nowadays, I'm facing the darkest period of my life, waiting for the end, but nobody can understand me. After watching this interview, I came to know I'm not alone. It's a taboo in our society to discuss mental illness. This interview really inspired me that I can still gather myself and try to develop interest in life again. Although it's hard, I'll try my best.
Honestly even it's not a taboo you can't really explain why you feel like this because it's so random experience only drains you out i have ocd and those intrusive thoughts oh boy how do we explain this 100s of voices out of your control appearing and making you feel
The fact that they turned this into a genuine and reciprocate conversation is honestly so beautiful, Christian is such an eloquent and sensitive person and seeing him so interested in Zach's story is amazing, it really shows who he is as a person and as an artist and of course getting to listen to his own story was so cool too! This is by far one of my favourite interviews on the Zach Sang show, thank you so much, it was just perfect 🙌
Wow, I am so impressed with his emotional and intellectual intelligence and creative talent. I have never heard anyone discuss their mental health struggles so clearly and openly before. It must be so frightening to go through. I'm "just" dealing with depression and I find it so hard to explain myself to others and figure out how to deal with it. Love his music.
his australian accent give me life. I think he has a very broad vocabulary and i love it. Hearing him telling his story in the industry and also of his life made me wanna reach my goals with all the strength i have. I’m so happy that he had this opportunity and I can’t wait no more to see him in London in November
the fact that he talks about BP disorder so openly and how he is struggling with and even using it in his music just adds to my respect towards him..perfect interview..
I LOVE that Ian turned the interview into a conversation bc he was genuinely interested in Zach's story too. That's so genuine, kind, and brave of him, I can't even. Love everyone and much love to everyone. Getting to hear some of Zach's background was very nice too. I hope this is the first of many, too that we get to see and hear. I would love to get to know Ian and Zach together more as well. The empathy and genuineness they both have is so refreshing and so thanks to both for that.
Why do I feel like crying after listening to this interview? Christian, you are such an incredible person and artist. I love how open you are with your mental journey and your creativity. Now knowing your story, everything is more meaningful. What your doing may be painful, but it is also beautiful. You are a true inspiration. Mito might be a dark creation, but it brings out the beauty of the darkness. I know many people find comfort in their lows by listening to your albums. Zach and Dan thank you so much for giving our boy an opportunity and place to open up and share his journey. I’m glad Ian said what many of us have been saying for years now, you really are empathetic and have a way of making your guests comfortable and you really do have a way of bringing out their stories through your interest in what they have to say.
I cried. More so just cuz my heart was hurting for him because of the constant pain/ struggle he must have to go through on a daily basis to deal with his disorder.
He definitely has a brilliant mind, I dare say that he learned to rationalize his illness naturally, which I am sure will help many people. When he sings he does it with angelic clarity and a beautiful voice. Ian you are a beautiful person. you are my idol
ian is my favorite artist for the simple fact that he just pours his feelings into anything he does. he's so talented and the effort he puts into his work is surreal. thanks for bringing him in the show zach
Since the day i discovered Ian i didn't skip one live or any video that he talks in it bcs he is such a lovely fascinating person i genuinely enjoy listeing to this man . i absolutely enjoyed this amazing interview thank u for inviting him Zack
IT'S CHRISTIAAAAANNNNN!!!!! zach is really doing an amazing job with the artists he has on the show! one of THE BEST interview shows to ever exist in my opinion (;
He only got better bc he used to do a lot of Kpop idols and was rude but interrupting or saying some sly comments or looking board or commenting on their fandom just overall beating rude so for me when u saw he was interviewing Ian I was kinda mad but I’m great full he was/is a lot nicer to him or at least now 👍
Wow. Did not think this interview would go so deep and make me emotional. Really appreciate him coming out and talking about his experiences in such a raw and genuine manner. I couldnt be more thankful for the art this man keeps gifting us with, but at the same time, the struggles with creating music that requires actually facing and navigating through the darkness he struggles with, kind of breaks my heart. I’m glad he has means of coping with them now, a supportive team and all. Every day my appreciation for Team DPR and Ian grows further. Really love this interview too
Thank you so much for interviewing Ian. I learned so much about him and about bipolar disorder. I'ts a shame that he didn't acknolwdge his DID at this time. He gave alot of hints but i wish he could've talked more freely (maybe next time he is on the show). I'm just happy that he is putting the puzzle pieces together and trying to do the best that he can with his disorder (but i do hope that he is carefull with his limits). Side note, the first time that i watched him explaining the storyline from the miito movie i was so confused (i'm sure the interviewers where too haha). But now that i'm invested in the storyline i'm really happy that he did. It clarified alot of my questions. He really is a spoiler king 😆
43:19 that is the best way to describe Christian. i love the way they were so interested and draw into his story and art he makes. i could listen to him talk for hours, already watched this interview so many times
He’s so effortlessly and unapologetically real, in a world of façades and “cool images” he’s the most honest person in the industry. Him being this open and vulnerable is something not only rare but exquisite to see, thank you so much for such great interview and for allowing us fans to know more about him and his craft.
I appreciate Chris being so open and vulnerable, i never really knew much about bipolar disorder and it seems like its a terrible unbearable thing that can ruin your whole life and Chris must be so resilient to go through all of this Love that man to bits brilliant mind and super hot bod damn how do you even exist Chris
I struggle from bipolar disorder and he helped me to feel normal, part of this world. He’s really amazing, not only as an artist but also the way he openly talks about this ❤️
Like with any mental health issue, the more you understand the easier it is to manage the symptoms. When others also understand it makes us feel more understood.
I love that Christian took time to compliment Zach on his interviewing skills - Zach Sang is truly one of the best interviewers I've heard. Delightful interview all around. "Effortlessly cool, and effortlessly beautiful" perfect description of Christian 🥰
I was diagnosed with bipolar at the beginning of this summer. And I think this interview just changing my life. I live in Norway, and here everyone takes a mandatory 3-week vacation during the summer months, so I have not jet started guided treatment for my bipolar. But the way Ian talks about it just made so many things in my life make sense. I really think this will help me a lot during my acceptance process. Thank you❤️
It’s heart breaking listening to his bipolar disorder. However, his music came out of overcoming w/ bipolar. It’s like human victory. Thanks for sharing, and please keep on going with your creative journey. 🙌🏼🎉🎉
this has to be the best interview i’ve watched and i hope christian knows how much we love and appreciate when he talks about things that are not easy to talk about or make you seem “weird” so people feeling the same as him dont feel as alone and his friends feel closer to him
The rawness and honesty you can feel from his answers is truly admirable. It is so uneasy for anyone to talk about what once broke them and from the stories he told, he went through hell and back and still does from time to time. I just want to say thank you for being here and for fighting for yourself and most importantly sharing your stories, your vulnerabilities and your journey with us. The first album stayed with me in a way I would never forget. I remember the first time I listened to Scaredy Cat and was in awe at how another person could capture feelings I thought I was the only one who experienced them. I can talk for ages about how Ian's music has helped me feel that I'm not alone. You are a true artist who encapsulates what it means to go through the cycle of being human; our angels and demons and our highs and lows. We appreciate you so much
bro the way he speaks about his mental health is so moving that it actualy brings tears to my eyes. He such a great support and just an overall amazing person
genuinely have only listened to dpr ians songs, like I know next to nothing about him. This interview was so interesting, i found myself so fascinated by everything he said. to think 'so beautiful' was made while he was at his lowest is so crazy to me, firstly i didnt even know he had Bipolar Disorder so that for me was a shock in itself. anyway, this was great, hearing him speak so freely about his experiences was comforting in a way, could listen to him talk for days honestly.
To be honest, I've ever only see him in shorts, and recently I saw him danced with Aiki, got hooked by the visual ngl. Then I watched a video of him, next thing I know I'm here listening for an hour. It's fascinating yes how I can just keep listening to him, having just learned about his other name Christian Yu and has never listened to any of his song, yet. Man, this man is super smart. His choice of words, the way he tells stories. Now I see more of him and I'm learning even more from the comments. I just knew he directed Bobby's and Mino's mv which shocked me cuz I'm a sucker for YG musics since Idk, 2009? So yeah that's a bit of a connection, I might as well be a fan!
I just cried a lot bcs he recorded the whole album with/without medication and he just made a masterpiece, he told us the REAL story and we're so thankful for telling us the "process"... it was pretty beautiful he told us about the reality of dealing with bipolar disorder and he's so strong, he deserves the recognition he has now
Actually you are mistaken, he made the whole album without medication. Medications helps to control his moods and stay in a balance. He was explaining that he made music in his manic states(highs/lows).
@@YourNotSoPerfectRUclipsr oh sorry, my english it's awful and sometimes i can't understand the whole situation TT really appreciate you made me notice my mistake ♡︎
Thank RUclips for queueing up this video. I didn't know this artist, but I felt smitten a few seconds in. His openness, vulnerability.... Surely a fellow INFJ :) heading to his MVs now!
dude i swear to god i was searching up his MBTI because i was like, thats definately an INFJ right there, but personality databse says ISFP im so confused
46:01 Why is so great that he turned the interview around and put the focus on Zach? Like that is so genuine of him, & interesting to hear Zach's story a bit too. I don't even know him but this video caught my attention & it's really deep.
that was beautiful, at one point I even teared up cause I could really feel his story. I also love how he even asked Zach questions when he is the one being interviewed, I think u don't see that often. It just felt like a conversation between friends indeed.
This hit me too.. I suffer from bipolar disorder as well, its extremely hard to be normal about talking about being on meds.. cuz theres a time period we take to adjust to the meds we cant exactly do the things we want or live wild n free or drink when we want.. so asking about it in a callous manner is a huge no.. i just wished that people would be more educated about such mental health conditions.. people live with it n battle with it everyday.. other than that it was a really good interview
@@shristimalla5762 yes right he genuinely seemed like he was interested and when he was complimenting Zach about how he's good at ACTUALLY listening I was like.. Ian so are you 😭.. he's great
“fascinating” is the perfect word. Ian has always been one of my biggest inspirations creatively, i mean i pursued film in college after watching his own works in 2015 as a c-clown fan. it’s been such an honor to watch him grow into who he is now. it was so cool how he ended up asking Zach questions too lol he’s truly such a humble sweet guy. this was a fantastic interview, thank you so much for having him on!!
Listening to Ian's voice is always healing such a soft spoken person. He is a genuine soul being himself. All his Insta lives are so fun and nice to watch. His music is so different it's a reflection of him, such a creative genius. He directs MVs , edits , composes sings, dances and what not. The way he is open about himself, his personal struggles makes him all the more inspiring. I really love him for being himself and giving us such amazing music and all the more cools MVs. So glad he met DPR Live and other folks they really are such a cool bunch
I have been a fan of his since his days in C-clown. Seeing him grow into the person he is makes me proud to be his fan. His music has helped me in so many ways, and seeing how he creates his music through his experiences and triggers just shows how much he overcame. I love his album. I definitely recommend it.💙
I appreciated how open DPR Ian was about his Bipolar I. When I first discovered his music, I was floored. I didn’t know anything about him but I saw myself so intimately in his work. I researched him and found out his diagnosis, and it all clicked. I felt seen in a way I never have before. Two years ago (finally! In my 30s) I was diagnosed with Bipolar II, also rapid cycling. It has taken me two years of trying 11 medications to try to get me to some “baseline” and, like Ian, I understand how difficult/impossible it can be. I’m also in the arts and I strongly identified with how he discussed not being able to identify his work when in the “opposite” mood. Like it was done by someone else. And like I can’t come back to it when I’m on the flip side. I was so grateful that he was able to be so articulate about the way he experiences his life. I’ve never heard someone famous talking about living with Bipolar with such candor and frankness. I hope this interview was able to enlighten some people who just know about Bipolar Disorder by what they’ve seen in movies. Each person obviously experiences it differently, but Ian shows us that it’s possible to be a functional and brilliant member of society and not just a guy screaming on a roof that he’s Jesus or something.
DPR IAN?!?! NO WAY!!! SO EXCITED!! Wow I just finished watching the video and I feel so grateful to hear Ian’s story. His music is always so personal and vulnerable, it just makes me feel so lucky to be able to be immersed in his art. Truly such an amazing artist and person all around.
I love how honest & real he is. It must take a tremendous effort to plan & do everything while dealing with his highs and lows, channeling them into his work. I could keep listening to him for a long time
Listening to him talk is really calming and relaxing. He speaks so freely and he looks and speaks so comfortably. He seems like the type of friend that you could talk to anything about and he'd listen and be very understanding.
I can see that it is sometimes difficult for him to tell what he has experienced but he takes the courage to do it, he is so transparent when he does it, his way of speaking is mesmerizing, I have lived with depression for several years and it is difficult, I cannot imagine what he has lived but he is a great fighter and human being. He deserves everything good.
Actually met DPR IAN in CL's five stars music video and in Joan's vlog, and then got to know more about his music and DPR as a crew. This is the first interview I watch, and it was great! Zach is always a very interested and thoughtful interviewer, and Christian is an amazing artist and such a brave person to be this vulnerable about his life and his art. Amazing interview!
@@imaginempress3408 It's joanday - getting manicure done with christian yu! I think he did it for so beautiful mv shooting actually! ruclips.net/video/UmkyTCJ6QaQ/видео.html
ive seen a lot of zach's kpop interviews and this definitely takes the top, the engagement and personal story sharing on both sides took this from an interview set up to a genuine conversation
Ive never even heard of dpr Ian but i saw the tiktok clip of him talking about his bipolar disorder which brought me here. I rlly enjoyed hearing him speak. He has such a calming aura and i don’t want the interview to end. As a Kpop Stan, he also opened my eyes to a lot of things i didn’t even know about the industry. I’m definitely gonna check out his music after this.
Damn, how much I love this dude. I’m bawling my eyes out. I’ve been a DPR IAN’s fan for a long time and my admiration for him, as a person even before as an artist, grows wider everyday. I just wish him the best, he truly deserves it
I love how zach’s interviews always feel like a conversation and not like bare question asking. It just feels like you’re sitting with them in a room talking about random stuff, I love it!
There's an old Tumblr post that explains his older tattoos, you can find it just by googling Christian Yu tattoos! As for the newer ones, in past instagram lives he's said that he will usually get them as a representation of his memories or different life stages, but some of them like his right hand tattoo he got at random while traveling! 🤗
I always had the biggest admiration for Christian. Ever since C-Clown's debut I thought this guy was absolutely captivating with his great talent and hard work. Now I can definitely say that he's an inspiration for many artists and idols in the industry. From back then when he was filming and editing all of C-Clown's vlogs and MV teasers to till now him being a full-on producer, director and solo artist with his own dedicated audience makes me feel like he's an example that every single idol can get out of the program and start over with their own full control over what they do in their career. Such a great guy.
its kind of sad to see him like this, in a world where you have to take a medication to only be around or talk to people, he is so strong and talented but somehow vulnerable
This is the first time I've heard DPR Ian speak and he is such an interesting person. Is it just me or Ausie Korean artists or Idols are just different. They work hard, but they like to do their own stuff and do it well. Wish him success and lots of happiness.
I was a huge fan of him since C-clown remember my school days listening to a lot of kpop groups at the time, when i discovered that he was in DPR, about to release his first album I was so happy for him, and everything in that album was amazing It was one of the most listened albuns by me on youtube music. I loved all of it and now again with another incredible album, visually, musically, everything. Seeing he talk about it on instagram and on videos, making of etc is always inspiring and he's super soft spoken its, once again he's my favorite artist. I wish all the good things on earth for him!
He’s so flipping genuine and real. I appreciate the honesty around his mental health which must be so hard and intrusive to talk about but I’m sure it helps soo many people feel seen
My respect to DPR Ian for his honestly and letting us into his mind and creative process. I feel like coming out of this interview I know more about how mental health plays with creativity. It is a blessing but could be a curse as well and how does an artist manage all of that? I appreciate him taking his time to really explain that. I love his art and I cant wait to see what this year holds for Christian. Big fan
Just heard it! Amazing! He is so honest about his feelings and all the process. Need a lot of courage to go to this level and a lot of hard work to deliver what he does! It’s impossible not to admire that. I ❤️ DPR
I’m bipolar aswell and I think some of his music really shows how it feels to go through the lows and highs of it. His one song called “ballroom extravaganza” is one of the most accurate songs about how it feels to go from the high to the low for me anyway.
i’m really glad we got to hear his story. he’s such an amazing person. when he talks it feels like we’re all his friends. this new album really really showed all his talents. i’m so so glad he’s getting more recognition because he deserves it so much.
Damn DPR Ian has such a unique personality like I think this is one of the very few times a guest has turned around the interview onto Zach toward the end and genuinely wanted to get to know him on a deeper level like his personality is so 🥹💞💝💓🦄🌈💙💜💛💖❣️despite looking so 💀☠️🪦🏴☠️🖤⚫️♠️🐦⬛🐈⬛♟️
MIITO is hands down one of the best things i have ever heard and seen. I love seeing how life turns out for people. Back in the day absolutely bumping c-clown far away young love, having no idea that a member from that group was going to become one of my favourite artists in another way, years down the track
To have an idol openly speak up about their mental illness brings so much comfort and reminds us they’re just human
If you need a reminder, it says more about you than them bb
His conversation with them isn't unlike Jackson Wang's with Eric Nam.
Miss ya Barom.

this dude really just failed at being a trainee then became a huge idol on his own with his self made work what an absolute champ
He didn’t fail as a trainee! C-clown debuted and he was an idol for 3 whole years. It’s crazy to think how talented he is

He’s a deep person. He explains things differently and the next thing you know, you’re drawn to his story
I never really listen to artists doing interviews and I recently found out about him and watched this video. I was so interested in his story and how he is so honest that watched the whole interview.
The way the headphone partially hides his ear makes him look like a hot elf.
Can't unsee it now!!!!! 😅
literally what drew me to this video
he directed a lot of Kpop MVs like Mino's Body, Taeyang's Wake me up, Bobby‘s Hol Up, Loco‘s Movie Shoot, and more. That is where I knew him, then I get to explore his discography. He is very talented.
No way! Really??? It my god. So he never left the industry! How did it take so long for me to find him again
@@viki7268 Yeah, making Bobby's Hold Up literally open doors for him. It was his first chances as a director and he managed to impress YG side that they ask him to direct Mino's mv as well. Since then, he becomes one of the sought out directors in South Korea.
Ohhhhh I only knew of his music because HITC. Didn't know he directed MVs of my fave artists. 😎
Bobby's hol up is my favourite mv of all time... had no idea Dprian 😱
Man, it's crazy to hear he influenced a lot of art in YG
I love how it started out with them interviewing him, and by the end of it he was interviewing them. Lol

Have asked\\\ Sszz
I’m so sorry u have no one I promise I’ll be here for u when no one not even ur parents will ❤️
I'm totally the same way, I hate being vulnerable and I'm working with my therapist on it lol but I also wanted to say that I love your username, it's so funny lmao
I hope you have a good day/night!!
I couldn't have said it better. I totally agree with you! ^-^
True, the way he's really open about his illness and shit. This man never fails to fascinate me. Being relatable and all. He's just amazing.
ive been feeling this way about creating art as someone eith a bipolar disorder myself. i saw the old music and lyrics that i made and it touches my soul. i cant do things like that anymore because i cant feel the pain. but my sound is more positive now lol.

I am honestly so fascinated by Christian, just listening to his story and seeing him being completely raw and open just truly amazes me... Listening to him talk about the story idea with the clown god and each character was so fascinating to me because it was so creative and I love it... He has more talent in his little finger than 90% of K-pop idols. He is unique and charismatic. The twist at the end where they switch roles is funny yet endearing, and showcases Ian's ability to make people open up the same way Zach does.

Despite his otherworldly talent, he’s such a rare person.. unpolluted by fame and success.

Christian, you are such an incredible person and artist. I love how open you are with your mental journey and your creativity. Now knowing your story, everything is more meaningful. Thank you so much for interviewing Ian. I learned so much about him and about bipolar disorder. I'ts a shame that he didn't acknolwdge his DID at this time. Side note, the first time that i watched him explaining the storyline from the miito movie i was so confused (i'm sure the interviewers where too haha). But now that i'm invested in the storyline i'm really happy that he did. It clarified alot of my questions.

this has to be the best interview i’ve watched and i hope christian knows how much we love and appreciate when he talks about things that are not easy to talk about or make you seem “weird” so people feeling the same as him dont feel as alone and his friends feel closer to him
Looking back at this, peanut butter and tears makes so much more sense.
The first album stayed with me in a way I would never forget. genuinely have only listened to dpr ians songs, like I know next to nothing about him.

I just discovered DPR IAN,now I have to gather much-needed information,of his being.🤔🔎
I appreciated how open DPR Ian was about his Bipolar I.

I also hope u check out DPR Live & Cream the other two from his DPR team
Damn, how much I love this dude. I’m bawling my eyes out. I’ve been a DPR IAN’s fan for a long time and my admiration for him, as a person even before as an artist, grows wider everyday. I just wish him the best, he truly deserves it
I love how zach’s interviews always feel like a conversation and not like bare question asking. It just feels like you’re sitting with them in a room talking about random stuff, I love it!
If it isn’t too personal for him, I’d love to see a tattoo tour where he explains each of their meanings. He seems like he has really cool ones!
you probably seen it but if you haven’t, two weeks ago he did a tattoo tour with GQ! You can look it up on here!
I could hear him for hours, he is such an interesting person. Thank you Ian for being so open with your fans and letting us get to really know you.
I can't believe i just watched around 1 hour interview... it felt like just 5 minutes... it was so interesting
its kind of sad to see him like this, in a world where you have to take a medication to only be around or talk to people, he is so strong and talented but somehow vulnerable
This is the first time I've heard DPR Ian speak and he is such an interesting person. Is it just me or Ausie Korean artists or Idols are just different. They work hard, but they like to do their own stuff and do it well. Wish him success and lots of happiness.
I'm literally speechless... this was one of the best interviews I've ever seen
The smoothness of how it's done. Christian's subtlety in drawing a bit of story time from Zach is an art in itself.
Big fan
it's so sweet how awkward and nervous he feels, but tries to look comfortable to properly engage in conversation.
