crazy how much time they were putting to make games and without dlc and full details but look now . i know its still hard to make one too but god dammit the resources back then were much less
We had the PS1 for a few years till it stopped working. I was only a child back then. I was trying to find this game. I recognised the name straightaway from google 😭 I used to watch my uncle play this when he’d come over and it was the best thing ever❤
TheMightyImp2 i just randomly saw that game yesterday in store and im like ROLLCAGE IS THAT YOU OMG!! Lmao! I loved Rollcage im so happy its on current gen. Coppin it today
FINALLY FUCKING FIGURED OUT WHAT THIS GAME IS CALLED! This is the first game I can ever remember playing at like 3-4 years old mashing the controller barely making it 10 feet.
Hi, Im new into Rollcage despite the fact I played demo of the secord game back in the day. Im trying to win it on hard difficulty. Usually I can adapt to new PSX racing games but not in this game. QUESTION to those who knew this game well: It is hard for you to win championchip on hard difficulty? How many attempts do you need? Thanks
It is really hard. Still haven't beaten the hard difficulty but honestly never committed to it enough. I usually just play the easy mode to just chill and enjoy the game. I use Leon as my main character because i like the look of the vehicle and there isn't a specific stat of his that is impressive but he has a good balance on everything. Not great at anything but not horrible on anything either. Jack of all trades kind of guy. Fun game, love the soundtrack and the awesome lighting on this game
One of the best looking PS1 games ever made and Stage II looks even better. My jaw dropped when i played stage II for the first time in 2000! Hell, both Rollcage games still look good to this day :O
that track is called Soul Surfing by Fatboy Slim, from his classic 1998 album "You've Come A Long Way, Baby". This game would never have been the same without it! ruclips.net/video/cEkWjE6ez00/видео.html
Ive been wondering about a game like this for 3 years now. I played it with my cousin, maybe 2002. It seems so close to what i remember playing. It was slower in my memories, real dark had the same fuzzy zapper sounds. I remeber you could get destroyed in it after a while, felt like a wandering open world game maybe this is it tho
Always thought this was a cheap and bland wipeout knock off with wheels and bad driving physics and still do but it still interesting to see how games popular games back then have other companies wanted a piece of the pie with their games
Somewhere, at some point in time, theres a pre-pubescent me sat playing these levels over and over.
This game
Same here, remember the day I got it, and it was years after that day I played each level as many times as I could.
Same tbh
This brings back some memories. Better days😌😌
It's called Grip now. It's on PS4 and it's awesome.
More than anything the soundtrack made me play this over and over, nostalgic indeed
I used to put the ps1 disk into my discman to listen
100 percent sure that my love for jungle/electronic music comes from playing ps1 games back in the day.
Yes, this and Ape Escape
This and Sled Storm were my absolute favourite Original PlayStation racing games
Back when racing games needed an actual gimmick instead of "our licensed sportscars look very realistic."
Man. This definitely looks more fun than the modern ones.
Omg got this for Christmas my very 1st game I ever had I was like 8 or 9 so nostalgic and overwhelming too see this vid thanks for uploading it
the soundtrack is sick
I remember as a kid i had the demo disc of this game with the black bottom lmao
I had the demo too and they was a competition who could get the fastest lap times. I spent months trying to beat the record ahah.
Me too!
@@robinmartinsson3032 played that thing everyday on the same track lol

Get yourself an old PS1 (or PS2) with the game! You won't regret it, trust me :)

Damn the early polygon tech looked like arse. I fucking love it :D

Loved this game!
Song game pls?
No DLCs, no microtransactions, no BS. Just you, the controllers and this whole universe. Countless hours.
Rollcage > Grip !
Just... wow!
Is there a game that is similar to this? 😢
GRIP: Combat Racing
