    worked so well he blew the lead in the 8th inning of game 1 of the WS and a lead in the 8th inning of game 5 of the World Series. in what world is that working?

      Exactly what I said. It didn’t really work. I mean I think it was just reverse psychology. Like I bet he’s not gonna throw a changeup so I’ll sit fastball, and then he throws another changeup. When we figured that out it was a bloodbath. It’s not successful. It’s a gimmick

    I would imagine if he broke up the streak and threw any other kind of pitch to ohtani he ultimately gets him out too. Not a shadow of a doubt ohtani knew hed thrown 30+ change ups straight

    The slider wasn't even a bad pitch considering his changeup would have probably broke back to the plate for a strike in that tunnel, but I haven't pitched since high school so I could be way off

    I mean it worked until he got shelled. He only threw changeups, I don’t see how that could be a successful strategy. He collapsed in the ws when we figured this dude is only throwing offspeed.

    I mean
    Didn't Mo get by almost exclusively throwing a Cutter. I know it's not the same as a Changeup, but he did keep throwing the same pitch over and over and over and over for 20 years and people still couldn't hit it (for the most part)

    • @dodgersallday4290
      @dodgersallday4290 2 дня назад +1

      He threw it about 90% of the time. It’s a lot harder to hit a fastball when you knows it’s coming as compared to offspeed when you know it’s coming, at least that’s how it usually is
