I took quite a few classes in the O'Hara School some years ago. And I find that so much of what I learned then has carried over to my gardening and pruning! And I love this modern style. I must try to find some classes again!
This style is 100s of years old. All young girls ŕrom traditional families start to learn this at 13 in the old days. It is a traditipnal.art.fprm that is greatly valued in Japan as ae.mny many hand crafts. In the US, the appreciation is hard to find. People just don't value them enough t pay for it thus we tend to loose alot of artistic trades. I am a florist and a certified ikebana designer. I get to do very little "real" ikebana designs.

Todo bien pero no vi que le pusiera agua y además quiebra los tallos entonces ese arreglo no va a durar , o cómo es ,porque se que a las flores hay que ponerles agua y afemas en que las insertó eso no lo vi , deberian darle acercamiento para ver en dónde las está encajando para que se queden firmes y no se doblen , muchas graciad si nos puede explicar

What a beautiful ikebana art and the sound effect is just so therapeutic to listen.
The video is good, but I switched off the sound. Hate it! I prefer natural genuine sounds of the video, not added later.

It's a rectangular metal weight with nails. It's quite heavy and can hold a lot of weight.
