Neron also reminded Gary that Constantine demanded a lot from him but what has he ever done for him but actually what has anyone ever done for him besides abuse him?

You're right, except he's an alien not a demon. He went into some alien pupa he created to gain a temporary human form(including the biology of it), using the high-tech Necrian glasses as backup, but then went into a pupa again that made him permanently a Necrian (and only looks human when wearing the glasses)
