How long does a lesson take each day? And do you feel like it's possible to skip the teacher guide and just get the workbook for the child?

Do you feel like it can be completed without the teacher manual -- having 5 kiddos (4 HSing) I just feel like it's so much to have 4 teacher manuals along with all the other subjects so I try to find ones for LA where it's only one book with the directions and everything in there

Actually, today I did use mine without the teacher manual! I think it can be done. There are sometimes some additional notes in the manual, and of course, the answers...so if you want an answer key you definitely might want the manual. Otherwise, I'd say give it a try! You could always pick one up later if you needed/wanted to.
Also, I only am speaking from experience with the Tan and Purple books (those are the only ones I've used so far). I'm *assuming* others are pretty similar, but I can't say for sure!
      Thanks for watching!

@@blessedhomeschool thanks for letting me know-- I may just go for it with 3 of the kiddos at least and see how it goes

Do you think the placement tests are the best in determining their levels accurately?

They ended up being accurate for us! Common Sense Press has pretty extensive samples on their website as well, so you can look through each level and get a pretty good sense for the types of questions/materials I think.
