  • Back hands are difficult enough for some people, backhand approach shots even more so. But then to make them super low can be completely daunting. In this video I show you little things that can make that shot a lot simpler. HAVE FUN😁

    Excellent video. You would not believe how many people do the whole tennis instruction all by talking and without hitting a single live ball. Also more crazy is when they demonstrate what they tell people to do, they just cannot do it themselves. 😂

    YOU SAY THINGS THAT EVEN YOU TAKE FOR GRANTED BUT WHICH ARE SUCCINCT AND INTUITIVE - I WISH I'D FOUND THIS CHANNEL YEARS AGO !
    1. "On the 1HB you're sideways to the ball until AFTER the ball goes by, THEN you come around during release";
    AND IN THE VERY NEXT BREATH...
    2. "On the 2HB you come around WITH THE SHOT (ball)"
    I've never heard ANYONE explain these 2 key points SO CLEARLY and with so FEW WORDS.
    Thanks!

    When you are loading and setting up a steep shoulder tilt for your serving trophy position, do you focus more on lowering the dominant shoulder or raising the non-dominant shoulder? Would love a video explaining how to get into a good shoulder tilt position for the serve/keeping the non dominant shoulder up

    Nice too see you coach doing so easy and effortlessly. Trouble in ours part 3.0 players we running off balancing rushing going for the approach most of times the balls just sail long out of baseline. Because the force I put on those shots. Too short get kill on the passing side. It is definitely not easy shots to master. Great job coaching. I keep that in my head. 😢

    Great video, subbed! Is it okay next time you film how to.hit a particular shot to just film yourself hitting a bunch of these shots at the end in a row? I learn best by watching and imitating so it would be really helpful. Thanks for all the work you do!

    What kind of footwork do you use against a pusher? Because the whole idea that you should be moving your feet a ton is true right? But what if they’re hitting slow and giving you tons of time and you’re like already in a good position?

    • @ironwilltennis
      @ironwilltennis  Год назад

      footwork should still be pretty intense. the only difference is that since you have the time, you should be looking to step into most shots

    The best rule to approach the net: the closer you are to the net the shorter the backswing.
