Celluitis affected the knuckle of my right index finger. Soreness, redness and swelling. Can't hold anything heavy, writing is a chore and tieing shoelaces too. Dr. has me taking Prednisone and Cephalexin -- Day 2.

I have cellulitis on my stomach. Did a hard like mass form under your skin? The swelling is down and it drained on its own but its dark and the hard mass is still there underneath.

Cellulitis of the leg is like Hell on Earth IMHO. When I had it, I thought my right leg would split wide open, especially when I tried to stand on it. It took nearly a month of antibiotics and the following month of wearing a stocking to just barely return to something like normal. You never really get completely over it. Your leg will always have a red color to it, even after the infection is long gone. Sitting or driving too long can be bothersome without getting that leg elevated for a while. It pays to walk often and keep the lymph circulating in previously infected limbs.
