I hereby state that I believe my content, a Reaction Video, constitutes a transformative use of the original copyright protected material. I am creating reaction videos that are my own opinions and reviews of the protected material, and my work is protected under the fair use doctrine as outlined in Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976. I believe that my use of the original material does not infringe upon the rights of the copyright holder and is protected under the principles of fair use. I have no intent of claiming this music as my own. This is my musical reaction, breakdown, and commentary breakdown of the song. I intend no copyright infringement, and this is not a replacement for listening to the song. I am not trying to take any ownership of the copyrighted material. I am simply reacting to the content, giving my opinion on the content, and providing educational feedback for my viewers on what I think the meaning of the content is. In addition, I believe that my use of the original copyrighted material exposes the copyright holder to a larger worldwide audience and helps to increase their visibility and recognition. By sharing my opinions and reviews of the protected material through my reaction videos, I am helping to promote the work of the copyright holder and potentially increase their audience and following. I do not believe that my use of the original material detracts from the value of the copyrighted work or harms the market for it in any way. Rather, I believe that my use of the material enhances the visibility and recognition of the copyright holder and contributes to the cultural and artistic discourse surrounding the work.
I don’t get patriotic often, as a Canadian, but this song makes me super proud to be Canadian 😢
Growing up in Canadian elementary and high school this song was a staple every Remembrance Day. Brings me to tears every time I hear it, thank you for this review that reminded me to remember them.
Thank you 😊
In Ottawa, on Remembrance Day after the ceremony regular people place the poppies they have been wearing on the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier. It is quite a moving thing to see little children placing poppies carefully on the tomb, always brings up a lump in my throat.
may they all rest in peace, lest we forget 😔
This song isn’t just about veterans it’s also about people respecting soilders
Never heard of him either, but I like it. Love his Irish accent. Thank you for introducing this to us.
Glad you enjoyed it Sally
@@TouchyReactionsdw lots of Canadians don’t know about him
that's a Nova Scotia Accent !!!!
That is a Nova Scotia accent!
@@Dee-JayW Sorry - I don't know that I've ever actually heard one of those, either. I meant no offense. I do like the lilt.
Remembrance Day was originally "Armistice Day" which started in 1919. It was originally meant to commemorate those of the commonwealth who died in World War 1. That is why is occurs on November 11th. At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the "War To End All Wars" ended. The "soldiers" that march through the store are members of "Woodbine Legion" in Toronto and yes they are all veterans. Terry Kelly, like the Trews' "Highway of Heroes" is from Nova Scotia and is an honorary officer at CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia for his work for veterans. The symbolism of the vets fading away is something that should never happen.
Actually its from WW1 not WW2 from this Canadian Veteran
“God forgive me for wanting to strike him” so memorable
Hello, I just happened to come across your channel. I won't reiterate what's been said, except check out The Highway of Heroes by The Trews. It's very powerful. That Highway is now across Canada.
I've done it already
Thank you for watching this 🇨🇦
Thank you too
The first veteran where you stopped to see them appear was a paratrooper. They are all veterans in this video.
Why don't you talk when the tune is over?
Because that isn't how reaction videos work. That would violate every songs copyright.
if it came out in 2000 how can it take you back to the 80's?
You got us. Good catch.
Remembrance Day in Canada and the Commonwealth countries such as England, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland commemorate by wearing poppies on hour chest over our hearts and taking a 2 minutes or more of silence to Remember and reflect on their sacrifices made during WW1 And Every year on November which we gather at War memorials on the 11 day at the 11 hour to remembers Our Soliders Who died in the Great War that lasted from 1914 to 1918 we also take time to Remember Veterans from others wars like WW2, Korea, and Afghanistan, Iraq are Also honored. 🇨🇦🫡🪖
November 11 used to be Armistice Day in USA also. Sadly (IMHO) it was renamed Veterans Day under President Eisenhower after
WW II because the USA memorializes its soldiers lost on the field on our Memorial Day at the end of May (dating back to our Civil War in the 1860’s).
I learned of Nov 11 as Armistice Day from my dad, a WW II Marine who had grown up with it as Armistice Day.
Anyway, I saw Terry Kelly’s performance some years back now, and greatly appreciate it.
Thanks to all who remember the vets who fought for us!
Is the welcome to Wrexham episode coming out today? ❤
Tomorrow
