It’s 2020 we have had this boiler 7 yrs fantastic boiler, but at least once a yr it just needs a little top up, and at the same time I clean out the magniflow and I come back here for this viddie thankyou for instructions to fill it back up tidy
Thanks this is very informative & easy to follow. I’ve just helped a client while gardening who had no heating. I think this boiler has a very over complicated filling system! My main boiler at home has a simple filling loop with easy valves. Also out of several vidoes, your one was the only one to show how the plastic mechanism in between the valves works.
Thanks so much! It looked like the bit that you have to push up wouldn't move but you can tell when it's up because you can turn the green ring clockwise (when you're looking up at it). This won't turn if the array is in the down position. Another thing is that you might very well need to use an alan key. If there is a clicking noise when you try to turn the blue handles, that means that the valve is closed too tight and you have to use the key. It might need a few turns but when that water starts flowing and the pressure goes up - joy!
Fantastic video, only common sense needed, which seems to have eluded a few people in the comments, but thank you mate ill be popping you a donation as u saved the day,my 1 year old daughter has a warm bath tonight in cold cornwall ❤
This really helped. My girlfriend found the thought of me having a cold shower hilarious this morning. Little does she know that, with the help of this video, I've just fixed her boiler so the joke's on her. We'll see who's laughing when she gets home from work! 😂
Thank you very much. I am glad it has helped you. I am still in the process of setting up the links for this video. Here is the link I will be using and thanks again. www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=AQE6ZCCN5VMLA
I tried pushing it up and locking it into place but found it wouldn’t move as freely as this video. And when I thought I had and started turning blue valves loads of water was coming out so it worries me and I locked them back up, is it normal to lose quite a bit of water. Any help massively appreciated as my pressure gauge is at 0.3
I havent got the blue lid, or the blue part underneath on my valve. Its just the metal part. How could i turn this? Would a radiator key or universal key work?
Hi I have the same boiler when the heating system is on the radiator symbol and a water drop symbol keeps flashing and symbol water has a line like / this on it could you tell me what is the problem please
Just leave it as is ...this boiler is so shit it will drop the pressure by itself. Had mine at 2.6 and just got to 0 in less than a month ! Topped it up again to 1.5
@@clj.4874 Yeh there is one part that's faulty but not enough to warrant a repair yet (£460 to replace one part) just waiting a few months to replace the boiler rather than fix the part) but overall don't worry about the pressure my neighbors sits at 2.6 all day long
I have nothing there part from the yellow thing behind. The boiler suddenly started to flash and the Ch screen showing 3.0 and a hot water was going out from the wall side outside through the boiler pipe. I droppened the central heating temperature from 75 to 65. The pressure then went down to 1.8 I then turned off the heater and the boiler showed flashing screen of 0.0 I switched back the hot water and central heating but it is dead already. What's going on 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks. I have this boiler and with the heating and hot water on and all working, radiators are nice and hot. Problem: bar flashing at 3.0 water symbol on left has a line through it and radiator symbol flashing as well next to temperature 72c at mo. The room is heating and hot water okay, but why are the symbols flashing? Thanks
mopar man I’m having the same issue.. nvr had this problem before had ths boiler for 5 yrs without any problem til now it’s flashes when everything is fine..🤨
Almas Asif thanks Almas Asif, sorted now. I called Gloworm and they told me flashing means that it’s working okay, bizarre really. I drained water from radiators to lower pressure to around 1.5 bars.
We’ve just moved into our new house with this boiler and the Allen key bit is even missing so it’s just the metal square peg. Trying to turn it with pliers instead.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone can help. So I have this boiler. I usually set it to 1.2 after a few months lets say 4 5 months it goes down slowly then when it reaches to 1.0 I set it back to 1.2. What pressure do I need to set it to exactly? Also when at 1.2 and the radiator is on when it reaches between 2.4 and 2.9 the whole screen light comes on and radiator symbol flashes. Is this normal?
You upload this video 4yrs ago . But it’s very helpful to me. Many thanks and God bless to you.

Amazing video. Just followed the step by step and my boiler is up and running!
This worked for me and very helpful. Cheers 🎉
Just followed this to fill mine, its brilliant, thank you.

Have you ever had any problems with main heat exchangers leaking on these? Thanks gaz

If you put to much water in how do you release the water you topped up with?
I havent got the blue lid, or the blue part underneath on my valve. Its just the metal part. How could i turn this? Would a radiator key or universal key work?
My filling device does not move AT ALL can you advise plz. Heating working but no hot water
Thank you
Thank you help family of 6
Thanks for the help Mark.
Hi...sorry if this is a stupid question...? Is this done with heating ON or OF.??...mine drops in 5 hrs from 1.9 - 1.0...thanks you...
Hi I have the same boiler when the heating system is on the radiator symbol and a water drop symbol keeps flashing and symbol water has a line like / this on it could you tell me what is the problem please
If you too much pressure in , do you lower it again by bleeding rads and letting water run out for some time ? thanks
Just leave it as is ...this boiler is so shit it will drop the pressure by itself. Had mine at 2.6 and just got to 0 in less than a month ! Topped it up again to 1.5
@@MrUnknown2105 haha surely you had a leak somewhere pal

Do you know what material the heat exchanger is made from for the ultracom 2 30cxi?
That middle part with the green bit won’t move
Because its locked closed

Followed these instructions quite easily but now the boiler is leaking, could this be because the pressure is now too high at 1.1?
My boiler is working get heating but no hot water this model doesn't have pressure gauge does it or pilot light?
Nice video but after pressurizing, still no hotwater; it was hot momentarily an went cold again.
This is the worse boiler ever always pressure dropping
the expansion bellow inside might need inflating in that case. Non return valve might have failed too.

I’m having the same problem but pliers won’t seem to turn it did u have any luck?
@nicolescott3005 did you manage to sort this? Just moved into house and ours is missing also on one side! 😬
I'm having this issue. No blue part left only the square metal peg an I'm unable to turn them? Anyone sorted this?

This middle device does not move up and down ? Tried to rotate the clip both ways nothing happens
What do I do to lower pressure as I turned it off at 1.5 but it now reads 1.7. Oops
Does anyone know what happens if a lotttt of water was coming out? A lot came out and now it’s still flashing 0.0
Because you didn't close the valve, follow step by step, I did the same, just push that back up and lock it in place, then start all over again
my disconnector wont push up plz someone help
The filling loops on these boilers are awful.
That’s very good video but I want to know how the fuck do u se the timer!!!!! THEN I WILL LEAVE YOU A DONATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
