- After a girl with autism lost access to her favorite food during a pandemic, kind neighbors stepped in to help. Steve Hartman reports for "On the Road."
I've never cried over a can of Spaghetti-O's before, but here we are.
They deserve much more. Best wishes.
Who knew I'd be watching a video about spaghettios
Altair IV Lmao
I just clicked on to see if they got Spaghetti O's with meatballs instead of the plain one.
Wonderful kindness of strangers.
What a touching story!
Way to go Massachusetts!
I get it. My son spent over two years in eating therapy. Fruit was always easy but other than that he would only eat cheese quesadillas or mac&cheese. He destroyed a plate of steak and crab legs a couple nights ago. That being said, now I'm craving spaghettios with meatballs
It’s great he was able to eat fruit though, from what I’ve seen a lot of kids do not like the mushy textures, the different shapes of them, etc.
Heart warming story
I need to know how Steve can resist without crying.
WHAT BEAUTIFUL FAMILY MOM AND DAUGHTER GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU

The state taking care of that beautiful angel
These videos make me proud to be a human. 90% of them don’t.
God i hope & pray that the kid finds interest in other healthy foods (and the mom too) and the mom finds the courage, strength & resolve to do the things she can do to help manifest that outcome...she is too young to talk of her getting old & appearing resigned or beaten...i hope this god sent message helps her find that resolve

Love this....makes me proud!
I miss Spaghetti O’s. I haven’t had those
Since I was a kid
We need a documentary on this story
thats my girl dont cry
Crystals vibes are positive
Uh oh, spaghetti O's 😁
Earth Angels.
Those are my favorite. My son says I eat like a 12 year old boy. While I did buy extra I didn’t buy out the shelves. I did buy the bigger cans though. I bet a lot of parents bought that because they were going to have their kids at home and it’s a cheapish meal
This is so random bro🤣
I used eat spaghetti-OS as a kid
Okay that's cute and all but I'm pretty sure constant Spaghetti-o's is not a great diet... especially for someone with autism.
Getting some autistic children to eat much beyond what they want requires an unbelievable amount of patience and persistence. The amount of anger I have to contend with daily in trying to get my autistic child to eat anything healthy is just beyond belief. Of course this young lady will need a lot of assistance and love in order to get her daughter to eat more than just Spaghetti-O’s. I hope she will get that kind of help too. But obviously Spaghetti-O’s is not remotely good for anybody including a growing child.
Hellloooo...did you actually watch the video? They're working on that. In the mean time, the focus of the story is the kindness of those who wanted to help--or is that beyond your comprehension? There is no one in my family with autism, but I can certainly sympathize with the challenges of having someone, especially a dauighter or son, with this condition. It's not like it's going to go away come day. You do the best you can, as this mother is doing.
My four-year-old nephew has autism. McDonald's fries and Cheetos are the primary staple of his diet. It's better than letting him starve himself.
Autism really impacted but what I eat but okay 😃 I can eat junk food and it’d be the same, or I could eat healthy food and it’d be the same.
Yikes! When I first heard that it grossed me out more then the skeleton story. Nope, not a fan of Spaghetti-o’s. But what kindness!
I’m autistic
OH OH SPAGHETTIO!
My favorite.
God works in mysterious ways
Sweet 🙏🙏🙏
1:00 lol ya I bet not, need water and your food circles too
Why is there pressed ham on the shelf at 0:55?
There are other family members than one little girl obviously
@@stephaniespc or.... no one wants pressed ham, even if they're starving. lol poor joke I suppose.
try not to sing along
🙏🙏🙏🥰
I like this story, but she can’t possibly survive on canned pasta and not develop major lifelong problems like obesity and diabetes. Does her Mom not have access to healthcare that can help her as a parent make more sustainable decisions for her child? Why didn’t the story explain this?
If you have watched ON THE ROAD, you know these stories usually last about 3 minutes, so no, you don't learn everything about the people involved. And I'd suggest you educate yourself about people with autism. You don"t force them to do anything. They live in their own reality. All the professionals in the world won't help someone like this girl when her understanding of the world is so limited and is not likely to change. I'm sure her mother is doing the best she can for her daughter.
My son is autistic and has always have problems with food:texture, smell, you name it. He survive on flour tortillas, homemade of course, beans and rice. I was aware it wasn't the healtiest diet but when your child wont eat anything I was bless that he ate. We can judge anyone without walking a mile in her shoes.
What’ll happen if you tell the daughter spaghetti o’s went out of business
Like telling any other kid that they can't have the thing they want
@@tranquilium I wonder if she'll like ravioli
1:03 lol
Uh-Oh
She beautiful i🤞🤞🤞💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪

Prove It!
Yes, I know that. No need to use caps lock.
@Julie Walker that's an interesting statement. You're right you can't owe someone when they give you a free gift.
You can only choose to take it or reject it. However I've experienced that every gift usually has something great attached to it.
I'm not trying to be pushy I'm just encouraging you to work through your anger and maybe try looking at it again.
If anyone has the right not to believe in Jesus it would be me.
But I can tell you he's transformed my life in more ways than I can imagine. It doesn't mean that life is always great things don't happen but what I can tell you is that you're not walking through the darkness alone. In fact just the opposite when you run towards the light you can see everything.
May God allow you to experience this.
I feel compassion for mom however if mom takes care of herself better she will be around longer to take care of her daughter. Also, all children autistic or not are greatly influenced by their parents behavior.
Cbs you make me laugh.are you losing so many ratings that you need to show old news .come on what is wrong with you and your company? Give me news now that is happening now not five months ago
