  • A film showing the various locomotives used by West Coast Railway Company whilst operating the Windermere Branch Line from Oxenholme, after Northern Rail withdrew the service following a various cock ups to do with the May 2018 timetable change.
Buses were laid on instead of trains, so West Coast Railway Company stepped into the breach.
This film is set out as if the viewer was taking a trip from Oxenholme to Windermere and back. There is plenty of onboard footage as well as lineside shots as:
Heading to Windermere - Natland, Oxenholme, Kendal, Hallgarth, Plantation Bridge, Staveley Crossing, Staveley Station, Reston, Blackmoss and Windermere.
Coming from Windermere - Windermere, Claife Avenue Crossing, Blackmoss, Staveley, Staveley Crossing, Staveley Bridge, Plantation Bridge, Bowston, Burneside, Burneside Station, Burneside Crossing, Valley Drive, Oxenholme, Natland and Hincaster.
As it was filmed over a period of two weeks, there are various combinations of locomotives.
I am not a professional film maker, but I hope you enjoy it!
