- To this date 11th August the last British Rail steam hauled train ended with 45110, 44871 & 44781 and 70013 Oliver Cromwell. To mark the 45th Anniversary 1T57 the Fifteen Guinea Special the tour re-ran on the same route. Well i didn't saw the railtour instead i went and saw the Weymouth Seaside Express with 5029 Nunney Castle
5029 Nunney Castle returns to Weymouth on its first steam hauled railtour without a diesel. 5029 raises the echos around Upwey on the return with a good performance although not as good as last week's Torbay Express climb though Torre that was better.
I did saw the loco on arrival at Weymouth but felt it was not good enough to share on youtube. I spent the day with Dan (Satnavdan) and James (NwsNoaaChaser) for the company around Weymouth
Great video, lovely shot of the climb into Upwey, nice to see Nunney out and about again, thanks for sharing, cheers..Bill
The Castle Class, the most beautiful 4-6-0 there is, in my humble opinion.
Maybe because in my cdhood and youth I travelled between Paddington and Fishguard a few times on the way to Ireland and these fantastic Locomotives were always a delight to see.
Thank you very much Bill
Oh yes the castles are lovely and beasty ones too
Best place to be , Nunney Castle is a good one
Nunney Castle always does a good tour :)
