I think someone was cutting onions when it was revealed your mom made book bags with books for the chickens. What an absolute thoughtful gesture. You seem to have an amazing set of parents, and a beautiful relationship with them. Wonderful job on the bookmobile
literally same. I went no contact with my family like last week and idk how long it's going to be until I don't cry my eyes out every time I hear a supportive parent being supportive haha
I don't mean to sound ridiculous, but how close-knit, encouraging and supportive your entire family is with one another is sort of... healing to see, for those of us who have not experienced this.
I have never left a comment under a RUclips video my LIFE but I simply must tell you that this made me cry TWICE. Your dad’s reaction to the decal reveal was so lovely. And then your mother’s chickens complete with BOOK BAGS?! How can one family be so darn cute? I discovered your channel during lockdown and always look forward to your videos but this one was too much. I want to adopt your entire family. Best of luck with the truck, it’s incredible ❤
Got all teary eyed in the end, seeing the beautiful truck with all the books and all the people. The Internet is wild! Here I am, incredibly proud of this person on the other side of the globe!
Been waiting for the build/decor vid! Not to make it awkward but as someone who lost their Dad as a teenager it’s healing to see your Dad helping you out. My Dad was a handyman and mechanic so he was always fixing something.
Mine passed when I was five (27 years ago) and I was feeling emotional today that I don’t have any video footage I can pull and look at. I feel the same way, watching this was healing and I know the kind of relationship I would have had with him.
Me too. He passed when I was in my late 20s before I had my ownkids. This is such a special video. Brings back my treasured memories of doing things together... like sanding! 😊 ❤️
I was so bummed to hear about the truck’s recent problems on the pod! Going to enjoy this content now and send lots of good vibes to your mechanic when he gets back from vacation 😉
Laying on my couch with menstrual pain and having a hormonal cry about your dad being so excited to help and those chickens! Then your “It’s so fun in here!” at 22:13 and you’re just inside the tarped over truck! Absolutely delightful, every one of you Bissets!
your mom saying that if people don’t like the chickens, they’ll serve as decorations as if they’re not the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!! I would buy one in an instant if I could. Absolutely LOVE the book truck and it’s incredible to see how much love and dedication you’ve put into it!
Bookmobile librarian here and this totally made my day! My favorite part was seeing you interacting with folks and making recommendations! It’s truly my favorite part of my mobile gig 😊
Your parents are literally the cutest and so talented! No wonder you’re so cool, you take right after them 😄 congrats on your all your successes Ariel and fam ✨
I love how your whole family pulled up stakes and moved thousands of miles with you. And I love that you’re all still working closely together. If you need help, at least one of them is there to help, and I’m sure you help them too! Cherish these times!
Ariel I hope you know how lucky you are to have a family that is willing to be so involved in the things you care about. It's so beautiful to watch this.
I almost cried when I saw the chickens. They are so adorable, and I love the way your mom made little book bags for them. Seeing how supportive your parents are, and the way they helped you make this dream a reality, was so heartwarming. Thanks for sharing the process with all of us. The truck turned out amazing! 😍📚🚚🎉
Thank you for sharing so much of the bookmobile journey with us! This video made me weepy. Seeing how much your family believes in you and how y’all all work together to make it happen is so heart warming
Congrats on becoming a bookseller! It’s fantastic that this turned into a whole family affair. Your license plate makes me think of a little cartoon ghost wandering a bookstore whispering, “Boooks…..Boooooooks!”
I love how invested your family is in helping you with this project. Those chickens were hilarious and so heartwarming. Congrats on seeing this vision through to completion.
i’m a whole 28 years old…but can your parents adopt me?? it’s so sweet seeing how lovely & supportive your family is! congrats on having the sweetest lil bookmobile 🫶🏻
You've mentioned before how much you love your family and how they're you're favorite people, and it was so beautiful seeing that love come through in this video. Big congrats on the launch of the book truck!!
Maybe this is a bit of a weird comment but every video of yours I swear I think “her parents must be so proud of her, just absolutely brimming with pride at everything she does.” Or like at least if I had a kid, I would love them to be like you. You’re just so cool, seriously. Congrats on the book mobile and hope you have so much more fun with it for years to come!
Just here to say that, much like other commenters (it seems), this healed some of my inner child. I’m estranged from my dad, and nothing brings me more joy (it’s bittersweet but healing!) than to see a dad being supportive and so proud. 😢❤
Would love to see the shelves stained in like a mid tone or even painted a color that matches or compliments the reds and oranges of the logo!! This is such a cute idea! So happy it’s been successful for you!
Just watched the video and my kitten “Bean” watched a lot of your video but the best part was when you were wiping off the door of your truck and Bean started wiping it with you. Your videos inspire
I've been dreaming of visiting Canada for a long time, now I'm dreaming of visiting Canada, meeting you and your book truck and buying one of these adorable chicken!
omg this brought back such a good memory for me. When I was growing up my family had a cabin in the woods with no road access - you had to boat in - and we spent every weekend and every summer up there. One summer, my dad put together a bunch of 20-ft poles and made me and my sister a teepee out of a blue tarp in the yard, and we spent all summer reading and drawing inside our blue teepee, perched on some old quilts. That was such a great summer, and I feel like you would have had a blast too! Your moment in the back of the truck getting the rain off the tarp reminded me of it.
21:53 oh my! The chickens and their bags and books!!!! Are you kidding me. I swear, your parents are amazing. You and your brother are amazing. Just one incredible family. I’m jealous, but I’m also just really happy that you have such a loving family ❤
As someone who grew up in a small town without libraries and bookstores (and during the 90's/2000's with limited access to internet and ebooks didn't even exist yet) you and you little truck make me sooo happy. I now live in a place with plenty of access to books but somehow seeing you selling books in your little city and thinking about the kids that maybe had to purchase their physical books through amazon or other online booksellers before and now they know they can go to you to see the physical books on display, and they can see them, they can smell them... Oh, it really makes my inner child so happy for them :')
OMG the chickens are AMAZING! I love everything about this video, but seeing you interacting with your parents and them being so supportive is the best.
OMG! How freakin' cute is your mom!!! Betty's Beaks & Books! Ahhh! Also, now hearing your dad, it's clear that your total appreciation for all the little details and the joy they bring you is totally from your dad! Love your awesome family!
I absolutely adored that. I told you I would’ve bought a chicken in a heartbeat. There is a real sense of family and community in your videos and your best of laughter just sing to me. ❤❤
What a beautiful blessing to have a mother and father as supportive, loving, caring and compassionate as yours! I’ve been watching you for so many years now. I’m a couple years older than you, but your maturity and love for books and your growing aesthetic was so relatable. Seeing you grow into a wonderful woman is so beautiful to see. Btw your dad is so handsome and your mom so gorgeous, and it’s beautiful how you and your brother resemble each one of them.
Thank you for taking us along on this grand adventure. I especially enjoyed the father/daughter and mother/daughter collaborations. It warmed my heart.
You did it!!! Such an incredible project with an absolutely banging outcome! The truck is beautiful, the way you worked on it with your dad brought tears to my eyes, and your laugh is the most heartwarming thing in the world omg. I hope you get to do so many more events (that you don't have to go on the highway to get to!!)
I’m so proud of you! You had a dream, and you saw it to fruition! Your Boook Truck is the cutest thing on the road! Great job! I love your moms chickens! 😂🐓 They’re adorable! ❤
i literally started crying at the first clip of you at the event with your shelves all filled with books...wow! the book truck is real!!!!!! how inspiring it has been to watch the process of this coming to light. i really admire how you go after your dreams. thank you for sharing your passions with the world!!
My dad passed away a few years ago, and there was nothing in the world I enjoyed more than building something with him. Like your dad, he was always up for tackling any projects my sister and I came up with, no matter how crazy or unwieldy! 😅I would remind you to treasure the time you have together, but it's so clear you already do. ❤
so so so happy for you. and LOVE your dad, reminds me a lot of my own handy man dad. makes me wanna do more projects with him, guess i gotta get on that
Such a wholesome video ❤ I loved seeing the progress, the love you poured into this project and the love that surrounds you: your wonderful family, your partner and don’t forget us! We love you, Ariel! Great job ❤

everyone’s commenting on your parents and they are cute indeed but you cheering on your own job every time, saying it’s perfect is so healing to me as someone who never thinks anything I do is good at all, always wanting to get better
OMG I love this! Your parents are so supportive and lovely; it's no wonder you are such an inspiring and wonderful person yourself! You always laugh and I love it because (whether it's genuine happiness or nerves) seeing the way you methodically work through your joys and struggles alike helps me somehow. Hubs and I have fam in NS so I'll check to see if you and the Bookmobile are out and about when we go next! And heck, if you have the time to take a trip across Canada make sure you stop in Toronto!!! I'm all for a Bissett Books tour: You're an absolute rock-star! All the best in whatever you do! Thanks for sharing :)
WOW! So amazing how it all turned out. Such a beautiful family coming together to make your dream come true. What a blessing. You all did a fantastic job.
thank you for making my mundane work day brighter with you and your family’s presence in this video. been watching for years and I always come back for the warmth and love that you can feel 🥰
I think someone was cutting onions when it was revealed your mom made book bags with books for the chickens. What an absolute thoughtful gesture. You seem to have an amazing set of parents, and a beautiful relationship with them. Wonderful job on the bookmobile
I feel the same, it was like a little accidental ode to them
the same onions came my way
The shot of her mom standing in the breeze with her basket of chickens took me OUT, it's so sweet :' )
This video was so wholesome and relaxing ❤❤❤ I loved it
Oh someone was also cutting onions here with me haha
I teared up a little when your dad said “Ariel, you nailed it!” Love how excited he is for you 🥹

Dude, same. No contact for almost a year now with my dad...so hard and terrible to have to do. Wish you all the best in getting through this.❤️
Same! I misted up twice during this video. So funny to be proud of someone you don't know, but I am! 🎉🎉
I don't mean to sound ridiculous, but how close-knit, encouraging and supportive your entire family is with one another is sort of... healing to see, for those of us who have not experienced this.
So no one is going to mention Ariel’s dad incredible mustache??!

Similar for me, my dad was also always building something and helping me out. Lost him just last year :/
Me too, and I felt the same watching this! Also a bit mind blown that some people still have dads?!

Your dad just healed my inner child. What an incredible supportive dad!! Great progress team!!!!
I want his face on a T-shirt that says "if he wanted to be would" and I'll just wear that if I ever see my dad again
The head-shake post license plate attachment followed by "That's not coming off!" is some quality dad content right there. ; . ;
I think a little awning would be darling and protect you and the books from the sun and tiny weather events. Yall are adorable!
