  • Washington state is a great place for birding, and especially for finding shorebirds. With its mix of sandy beaches, rocky shores, and tidal flats, this Pacific Northwest gem provides the perfect habitat for these birds. In this adventure from the end of July, we searched for some of the area’s most exciting shorebirds, including the elusive Snowy Plover, the striking Wandering Tattler, and the rugged Black Turnstone.
