Thanks for this beautifuĺ, exciting video. Wonderful sightings. Loved the American Dipper, the Dark-Eyed Junco, Goldfinch, and so very many more! Thanks for sharing this opportunity to see. . .🐦🕊🪶🪽
Another wonderful video! Thanks so much for visiting California and writing about it! It would be helpful in general if you mention the month of the visit being described so as to explain the nest building activity and presence of certain species at that elevation at that date. Dates help us understand plumage viewed as well. Thanks again.
The American Dipper is my favorite bird. They are so unique and have a lot of character. I had seen them a couple times before but got my best looks (pics and video as well) of them in Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills of South Dakota back in May of 2022.
Such beautiful scenery! I need to go explore there sometime! You got some great finds, but too bad you didn’t see a Sasquatch! That video would certainly have generated some views!
California es un lugar interesantísimo para ver paisajes, flora y fauna, me gustó todo lo que mostraron. Me recuerda bastante a la Patagonia, pero ustedes allí tienen más variedad de aves al parecer.
Catching up with your videos after a pretty rough couple weeks (lots of medical stuff, super busy and exhausting but everyone is okay again) - this was SUCH a nice anodyne for my tired brain
I'm curious when this was filmed. I'm in Southern California and we only get most of those birds during migration times, however I've never spotted a Dipper or Cassin's Finch. Most of the others have made a brief appearance at my local park ❤
Good morning from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. The Spotted Dove and the Green Emerald Dove are the only two dove species in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR which can be seen in the semi-rural areas of the New Territories in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR.
In what month were you guys visiting California.?Just wondering b/c I'm thinking of heading that way next March, between San Fran and LA where the elevation is lower.
@@BadgerlandBirding I was just going to comment about how much I like your travel videos, including this one. I was also going to suggest you mention in future ones when you were at these places since some birds can be seasonal. Keep ‘em coming!
California is not “one of the most expansive and unique states in the US, it IS the most unique! We have subtropical coastline in the south, high alpine mountains ((the Sierra,) deserts, rainforests(the Redwood Empire), beautiful Central Valley, beautiful Coastal Range, and Big Sur region. We have the oldest tree in the world, ancient bristlecones, and the biggest trees in the world the redwoods and the Sequoias. I have traveled the world-California has the most unique and most diverse geography of any region in the world
You guys hanging out in my back yard again 🙂
You guys got some nice ones too 🙂👍 Love the Lawrence's 🙂
I still need a Dipper though !

This was in early June!
@@BadgerlandBirding thanks so much!
“status and distribution” as it relates to date and location is my go-to strategy in bird identification

Yeah! They’re so cool!

Yeah! Maybe next time! 😂
This video gave me some deja vu feelings... 😊
In the vlog videos there's some overlap with videos we do about specific locations!
I live in Minnesota. I saw my first and only Steller's Jay when I was a Lake Tahoe two years ago.

¡Gracias! Sí, la diversidad es excelente, posiblemente mayor en las Sierras. ¡Ambos lugares son increíbles para observar aves!
