Excellent! I own the very same Alabaster Silver ‘07 SC. I’ve been putting off getting a Cat cover, but I think I’ll put one on now! Thanks!!

Very affordable, easy to install, the bolts are not easily removed without the special tool, I’ve tried to remove them and couldn’t

Thanks for posting Danny just purchased a 2005 Element but it’s a 2 Wheel Dr. and I have to drill that hole and put in that adapter. I am going to attempt to install mine tomorrow before somebody steals it.

thanks for the video! I had not heard of this company product before. the bad guys got my cat conv on my 2008 honda element, apparently the ease of access makes them a prime target. I ended up getting one of those protection devices that is basically a bunch of hardened cable that wraps around the unit. It's ok I guess but it has cables that stick out and I'm always worried they're going to snag a plastic bag and catch fire...if I had known this product was available (maybe it wasn't at the time) I would much rather have gone with this. thanks again!

This is pretty new products. I do remember seeing the cable type and they were so ugly and looked really hard to install, I never thought about the attraction of bags, as long as you’re protected, that’s what counts 0:02

OMG!!! I just acquired a 2008 Honda Element SC, and Danny - you my man - are my new best friend.
What a fantastic channel. The content and video quality is incredible. Perfect for somebody of my modest mechanical skills, bringing a previously neglected Element back up to par.
    Many thanks!

Another great video Danny. I have a P0420 code right now.😩 The original catalytic converter was stolen. 😭 The second one was installed 2 yrs ago. It's already not working correctly. 😡 My original cat lasted 17 yrs with no problem B4 stolen.
That catalytic converter replacement part u hv listed below, price wise; is on high end. What brand is it? The two brands I hear that r available are Magna Flow & Walker... if u need 1 4 u element owners. That's what another element owner who has an auto shop & custom makes suspension for the elements recommended I look for. Everything is over priced these days. The greed is out of hand.
Being this is my second cat I hv to buy again, I'm looking to save money. No offense intended Danny. ✌🏽
As always, love ur videos! 👍🏽👏🏽

I got an aftermarket cat conv when my element's was stolen and I had to hit it with a few rounds of "pass your smog test" addititve to get it to settle down after install...was getting frequent odbc codes related to the cat conv....since then it's been fine for ~4 years

I know from experience Miller Cat sells quality products, I trust there products, but as far as the other question and who’s is best, I don’t know ❤👍🏼

Hello GHE2005, in regards to the converter, this is a CARB compliant converter, meaning it is approved for all 50 States, and more heavily loaded with precious metals that most you will find online (which is why you will see a huge price difference). If you live in a State that requires CARB compliant converters or simply want to have the best one for your vehicle, this is the way to go. Make sure you find the reason for your P0420 code. Converters won't generally fail and is usually a indicator of an issue with your vehicle that causes the converter to fail. Such as engine misfires, heavy oil consumption, etc. It's always best to fix any underlying issue before spending the money on the converter!

@@millercatcorp2711 My cat was installed & my insurance has to approve it. We hv smog registration here in CA but who knows if they bought a good cat? The job was $700 + total to fix witch I paid $500 of. High deductible for me. Had I know what I know now, I would hv investigated what I should have put on my element. Basically I could hv bought a really good cat converter not this shity one that last 2yr the most. Live & learn.
But I will bring my element to my mechanic & see what he said. I already told him about the code & he said I need a new cat. I will ask him to run through the list u suggest and see what he finds out. Thx u for ur suggestion. 🙏🏾

hey man! been a while, but I have a question. so here in cali its raining alot and on my way to work i passed by a river of water on the street, then i heard a scrappy noise. i parked and saw that the cover under the car is about to fall off, should i take it off or what do u think i should do?

    • @dannysdiygarage
      @dannysdiygarage  8 месяцев назад

Take it off, not sure what cover, but if it’s hanging remove it, it could cause damage to you or others if it falls off

if its hanging try to secure it with zip ties, tape, string or whatever until you can properly secure it, if it easier to remove it, remove it, an auto parts store should be near by,@@savageballin
