Yoshino Nanjo's voice is freakin amazing :) I first heard her when she was Eli Ayase in Love Live but then I hear her in fripSide and her solo songs, and I was blown away. She's my favorite Japanese pop singer for sure
1 million views, and still not enough eyes on this game. It's such a great little gem. Characters were so loveable, and all the music is great. I wouldn't mind having a second one

While I'm enjoying Tokyo Mirage Sessions, I have to say I'm just a tad dissapointed that it wasn't the seamless crossover of SMT and Fire Emblem that was advertised when it was originally announced. Basically feels like a Persona game with a few cameos by Fire Emblem characters. Not that that's a bad thing, but I would have liked to see more influence from the Fire Emblem series in the game.

The hate comes from the original concept of this game being a full-blown Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei crossover but what we ended up with was Persona + Fire Emblem cameos. Don’t get me wrong, I would’ve rushed out to buy this game had the initial concept not existed. Persona and Fire Emblem are 2 of my favorite game series of all time and I would’ve loved to play it with a Fire Emblem skin, basically, but when we were promised SMT x FE and this is what we got, you can imagine the disappoint from fans of either side or both.

Just say you enjoy the game, you dont need to justify its existence. Although it'd help if you didnt pretend like this was a genuine crossover and not just some Persona shekel milking geared toward the Japanese/weaboo crowd.
@@arccway3293 The game is honestly more like a cross between SMT Strange Journey & Digital Devil Saga than Persona in terms of gameplay. Your allies attack the enemy if you hit a weakness, which is like Demon Co-op from Strange Journey (nothing like One More system from Persona) The party size is 3, like Digital Devil Saga All the playable characters are humans who transform rather than humans who summon demons or personas (which is also like DDS) The dungeons also are very much like DDS and nothing like Persona, they have basic preset layouts and aren't randomly generated. They're not even like P5's palaces because you constantly revisit them for the entire game and don't disappear after beating the boss. The only gameplay element that is from Persona is how buffs and debuffs work. They only last 3 turns & don't stack. Otherwise I really wouldn't say there's a whole lot in common.

I just love this game, the style is amazing (yeah, a little overdose of Jpop-culture and anime but still), the charactets are hilarious, the dungeon crawling is a lot of fun and the skill and battle system is one of the best I've seen in a long time in an RPG
@@pretending100 TMS is more of a FE game than SMT, at least in terms of story. Gameplay wise it's a SMT game through and through, but all the characters are from Shadow Dragon and Awakening. It makes a lot of sense for TMS to be a FE game. A spin-off, yes, but a FE game nonetheless.
@@theevilryu645 nah, it's a feel good 2006-2008 anime down to it's plot, which is simple and doesn't take itself too seriously. Characters are a lot of fun tough and more importantly, game play is godlike. If you are expecting a FE/SMT fan fest tough, you are gonna be really disappointed. The only things it actually takes from SMT is it's amazing combat system and the FE characters barely act like themselves with perhaps the exception of Tiki.

I have always laughed at how Itsuki being in Smash would be the biggest middle finger to the Smash community. 1) Blue sword boy. 2) From a Fire Emblem Game. 3) Could have a Persona mechanic which Chrom as the Persona.
I at least want a Mii costume for Itsuki in Smash with this and maybe another couple of songs from this game bundled with it. Imagine playing Castle Siege with this song.

While I'm enjoying Tokyo Mirage Sessions, I have to say I'm just a tad dissapointed that it wasn't the seamless crossover of SMT and Fire Emblem that was advertised when it was originally announced. Basically feels like a Persona game with a few cameos by Fire Emblem characters. Not that that's a bad thing, but I would have liked to see more influence from the Fire Emblem series in the game.

The hate comes from the original concept of this game being a full-blown Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei crossover but what we ended up with was Persona + Fire Emblem cameos. Don’t get me wrong, I would’ve rushed out to buy this game had the initial concept not existed. Persona and Fire Emblem are 2 of my favorite game series of all time and I would’ve loved to play it with a Fire Emblem skin, basically, but when we were promised SMT x FE and this is what we got, you can imagine the disappoint from fans of either side or both.
>RPG about Japanese high schoolers and idols
>Incredibly anime-esque artstyle with half naked waifus
>Bright, popping colors like Persona 4
>The exact same battle HUD as the past few persona games
>The exact same dungeon system as the past few persona games
>The follow-up system from Golden
>No demon followers or fusion mechanics
>No Law-Chaos mechanics
>Nothing related to fire emblem beyond some enemies and the main characters supposedly looking like fire emblem characters
>The trailer was serious in tone and showed absolutely nothing that implied it was going to be a Persona-esque, kawaii uguu game
You're so full of shit. Just say you enjoy the game, you dont need to justify its existence. Although it'd help if you didnt pretend like this was a genuine crossover and not just some Persona shekel milking geared toward the Japanese/weaboo crowd.

@@arccway3293 The game is honestly more like a cross between SMT Strange Journey & Digital Devil Saga than Persona in terms of gameplay.
Your allies attack the enemy if you hit a weakness, which is like Demon Co-op from Strange Journey (nothing like One More system from Persona)
The party size is 3, like Digital Devil Saga
All the playable characters are humans who transform rather than humans who summon demons or personas (which is also like DDS)
The dungeons also are very much like DDS and nothing like Persona, they have basic preset layouts and aren't randomly generated. They're not even like P5's palaces because you constantly revisit them for the entire game and don't disappear after beating the boss.
The only gameplay element that is from Persona is how buffs and debuffs work. They only last 3 turns & don't stack.
Otherwise I really wouldn't say there's a whole lot in common.
This game and music is just the best. So beautiful.

@@pretending100 TMS is more of a FE game than SMT, at least in terms of story. Gameplay wise it's a SMT game through and through, but all the characters are from Shadow Dragon and Awakening. It makes a lot of sense for TMS to be a FE game. A spin-off, yes, but a FE game nonetheless.

@@theevilryu645 nah, it's a feel good 2006-2008 anime down to it's plot, which is simple and doesn't take itself too seriously.
Characters are a lot of fun tough and more importantly, game play is godlike.
If you are expecting a FE/SMT fan fest tough, you are gonna be really disappointed. The only things it actually takes from SMT is it's amazing combat system and the FE characters barely act like themselves with perhaps the exception of Tiki.
