its all about the art and tradition.. the bows are useless in warfare at max 35 pound draw. In Canada the laws state you cant even Hunt with bows under 40# and if these ever went againt my 100 pound draw longbow, they would be 130 yards short. great practice I guess
I give u right its much more about tradition these days, but in the ages ago Kyudo is used in warfare and Hunting. The Arrows Fly way way further than arrow From an English Longbow. and It was the goal to hit the Legs with The arrow, because the upper Body was Protected with armor more than the Legs.
It does... All what we do should go into praising God. Walking, eating, brushing teeth... If we separate our activities into "for God" and "for me", we are mercenaries, not sons. Kyudo is a good practice to learn this.
