- Welcome to the latest series from Built To Fish TV - Marlin Tales. Marlin are one of my favourite fish to target and we have had some amazing adventures chasing them. I have a treasure trove of previously unseen footage and I thought it was time to share it with you guys, along with the tales of some of these fish. The footage is raw but the stories are real, and the action is everything that makes Marlin Fishing great.
We're going to kick off the series with a bang, with the tale of one of my most memorable fish - a rare West Coast NZ, Blue Marlin. This was a fish that had been on my bucket list for a long time and to find one out of my home port of Kawhia, NZ was something very special.

Do not get fish mounted by Gray's or Atlantic taxidermy. They overcharge for everything involved, and the salesman lie about getting an exact replica. They kept the fish, and I got a plastic stock fish. Read and understand what you sign. But all you need is measurements and pictures. They don't make a mold of the fish, or house the skin and bill like they sell it.
