  • If you tuned into our last episode of 'Marlin Tales' you would have seen that we are in the middle of one of the most insane weeks of fishing the West Coast of NZ has ever experienced! If you thought the first two days of March were incredible, then what unfolds over the next day and a half is surely the stuff that Marlin Fishing Dreams are made of!
In the season to end all seasons, this was without doubt, the week that defined it.
In fact, the action over the first 4 days of March was so insane that we have had to break this episode of Marlin Tales into two parts. So if you haven't checked out part 1 you might want to jump over there and set the scene first: • Insane Marlin Fishing:... otherwise buckle up for Part 2 of a week that defined a season, you're not going to want to miss this one team! #BuiltToFish

Great watching 2 friends have so much fun out there. Yes that was an amazing 2 days. Great teamwork. Have you ever almost fallen out of the boat leaning over fighting to get the bill steady ? Great balance. I would probably flip overboard. 😂.

Gota love those 3 fish days aye bro!!! Ben i heard u say its going to get busy out here today however i only spotted a couple of boats. I would be keen to come down and try out your local but nort aure about the bar. Cant be any worse than the manakau bar which is my home port. Out from manakau thru the week is ok with boat traffic but on the weekend if i do one circle we get mugged and now there is 15- 20 boats trying for the fish or fishes that i just found. Would be keen to come down on the weekend some time if you would have us.. keen up the good work bro

You sure do mate!!! It was pretty busy out there that day but still pretty manageable as everyone is super respectful of everybody else. You’d always be welcome in Kawhia mate, not that it’s up to me!! Keep in touch, would be happy to show you over the bar although I’m sure you’d be fine if you’re a regular on the Manukau. Let’s just hope there’s some fish out west this season!
