It is important to know how to save your work if you either wish to come back to it to amend or if you are happy with the image you have created. Depending on what you do want to do, there are 2 ways to save your work, so it's important to choose the right one.
We are using Gimp version 2.6.11
The Series runs from Video 1 - Video 15c

@lilpjuarez Hi lilpiuarez, thank you for your kind comment and great question.
If you mean you want to print out your t-shirt design then you need your pixels to be 300dpi not 72 which is the default.
To check what the dpi of your image is, go to Image in tool bar>image properties and you will see lots on info.
To change the dpi, - go to Image in tool bar>print size>change x and y to 300.00
I have run out of space so am cont. this message to you privately. Davina

@MsAnnikema Hi there! Thanks for your comments. If you are not subscribed to our tutorials, I suggest that you do so, as we have lots of extra hints in the accompanying notes. You can find the link underneath the video here. For this Q - in Video#11a of the Gimp for Beginners series, around 3.13 minutes, you will see Davina demonstrate the technique for cutting an image out of a background and shrinking it a little so that the b'ground is 'tidy'. Hope this helps. Let us know if not - Caroline

@rachmoulder Hi there - Okay, lets try and decipher what you are saying here. Is bg = background?
You say that when you saved the image as a jpeg, it turned black, what was the background like before?
As there's only limited space here, can I suggest you come over to our FB page and ask a more detailed question, perhaps with some screenshots? You can see the link to our page on our Channel.
    Caroline

I didn't actually save the image during the video as I had saved it in the 3 different formats before hand. We want to show viewers the different options and the reasons for choosing them. In the video 2.20 mins = xcf, 3.17mins = jpeg and 5.01 mins = png. Bear in mind you now export a png not save it. Thanks for the question. Davina and Caroline.

Hi, Can you give me the following information please
1.what do you use, Mac or Windows, and the operating system
    2. what file format you are saving your document in - xcf, png or jpeg.
    3. when you say you click on it, do you mean on the image in the folder you have saved it?
    4.Are you double clicking.
It maybe easier to use out message box in YT when replying. Thanks, Davina

@gychang00 Hi and thanks for getting in touch. I am afraid we do not understand your question. Are you saying you cannot save a file in .png format? I am going to send you a private message as I want to give you some addresses and you cannot do that in comments. Speak soon, Davina

@anskyann21 - Well, that's a good question! LOL Glad that you are finding them useful. We couldn't find a straight-forward video showing us hot to save our work in either Gimp or Inkscape which was a bit daft we thought, so that was 1 video definitely on our list. Caroline :)

@lilpjuarez - Not a specific video on removing water marks but the cropping and cloning video should do the trick. 3d work? No we do not have one in this series but will be considering it for the future. - Davina
