I know somebody who was hit by lightning twice the same day and lived. That’s tragic
If you are smart enough, you know not to go walking or running out during lightening. Let it pass. Then go about your business. Just remember there will be plenty of days ahead without lightening of where you can run safely. Not worth the risk.
They stated, lightning alarm didn't go off like it should have. And no one expects to get hit by lightning running. Maybe swimming@@boohere2
@boohere2 Sometimes you don’t know it’s coming. I run and literally yesterday morning it started storming as I was ending my run. The news predicted light rain in the afternoon, I was running at 5:30 in the morning. While running I looked at the sky and had a feeling I shouldn’t go far which is the only reason I made it back to my car before the storm hit. This young man losing his life was just a tragic accident. Praying for the family.

If I’m not mistaken, doesn’t it cause some irreparable brain damage that causes suicidal ideation. I thought I read that from somewhere, that’s why lightning freaks me out.
When the parents described going to the hole where their son was struck and finding that cross that they gave him...I lost it. May he RIP.
Being new to Florida I try telling my mom her grandkids can’t be outside playing in the Florida rain and she literally tell me that it’s fine and now look a young man loses his life
do what i had to, call the fire dept with the kiddos present and ask the fireman if its a good idea to play with thunder and lightning around
The weather is very different there. We get lightening like that in SE TN during tornado season but that's about it. Some summer pop ups but the the lightening usually isn't as intense during the summer. During spring you can feel the energy. Sometimes it'll make your body hair stand up.
My mom also liked to completely disregard my boundaries with my kids

Maybe he was already running and it started storming and he was trying to get out of it? Doubt anyone says “oh it’s lightning, let me go for a run”.

It literally explained what happened during the video. He didn't start running after the storm started. But people just read and react to headlines without actually listening to understand.
If someone checks the weather frequently they will know if a possible lightning storm is coming. I jog and I have been in some lightning storm jogs. Luckily I wasn't hit by lightning but I end up running either fast because I'm paranoid or sometimes I hide underneath something like at our local park we have a little house thing. I don't know the term for it but it's shaped similar to a boxing ring and has a roof on top of it. That protects from lightning I would think but I have seen holes in it so maybe lightning has struck through that? I sometimes would shadow box and even hit some of the pillars in it for training in combat.
In Florida rain can come at unexpected times. Pray if you know how and believe. When your an athlete runner you may run daily varied times routine. The inconsiderate comments are not welcomed here. Sorry to hear of your loved one passing sincere condolences to you all and the baby🙏🏽😢

@healingthroughchrist1988 I live and work in this area. On this day (sunday) there was a large and strong continuous electrical storm and rain most of the day.
@@gymnast1284 What time did storm start and end. Maybe he was going for a run before it started storming. Why are you victim blaming when we don't know all the facts? Who decides to go for a run during an electrical storm? It's possible that the storm hit while he was running and he was headed back or for cover. Unless it can be proven that it was already storming when he went for a run, it's best not to assume anything and pass judgement. We don't know what time he went for a run. How long he was running when the storm hit. If he was trying to head back. We don't know any details.

I remember when I was a kid, my phys Ed teacher was struck by lighting while walking to her car, leaving school. She survived, but her face was always red it messed up her nerves florida lighting ain't no joke. Our house was struck by lighting twice.

Yeah at nineteen, not married. Males need to start taking responsibilty for patience, self control..you know all the things we usually associate with being man. Im sure the girl will replace him pretty quick...*this often causes families to lose contact with their grandchild because the woman just then favours the new family. Ive observed this happen more than once. No excuse kondoms, are cheap often free in westwrn countries.

Gold is an insulator, not a conductor.
Surviving lightning depends on the path it takes through the body. You might be right, the necklace could have directed the lightning through the heart, which is fatal
