These are vcr taped.
I can't believe Becker's service speed is being timed at 100 mph here. Wasn't he faster than that!
The men back then shook like the women players today. So formal, no side hugs. The guys today... unless they hate each other... always seem like they acknowledge each others' efforts while the women are cold as ice unless they are friends.
KING LENDL
Tennis isn't the same without Lurch.
Commodore signing for the scoredisplay just before they went down under.
I love to hate Ivan Lendel.
Because he was the nemesis of my all time favorite McEnroe.
Worn out old rivals spitting blood on the dance floor with short shorts and gut stringed racquets. That was the time
I watched this entire match in my t v,i was praying lendl for entire match
I’m amazed Lendl has any eyelashes left…
As a becker fan this match still hurts me but Lendl was better in the final set.
Legendary
3:32:05 Mats Wilander?
Yes👍
Not many GRUNTERS back then!
Ivan's racket looks like 90 inch whereas Becker's could be 95/98 inch
wow thank you! I had this betamax as a teenager, watched it maybe 50 times. What a match. Love Becker.
Why? Never won a tournament on clay.
@@ukallianpur Have you? Hope your wife loves you.

[1916)-Martin Heidegger
I'm familiar with Heidegger. What is unconcealed to you in this game ?
If federer nadal sampras becker lendl mc enroe aggasi play in same era they've got 4 grand slams each
3:19:16 never seen Lendl so blinded by rage!
in
It appears a couple of inches wide
The thought of losing to Becker yet again brings out that rage 😀
Just randomly landed on that moment and Becker’s shots look in.
Lendl 0-5 in Grand Slam matches with Becker before this win.
What is Becker complaining about at 3:44:50 ?
He's saying that Lendl is "disturbing" his serving rhythm by deliberately taking too much time. He mentioned how Lendl was taking "10-20 seconds talking to the ball boy" and Becker thought Lendl was doing it deliberately to put Becker off.
Then why didn't he speak , when cyclops was switched off earlier. Ironic. Wrong timing Mr Becker
3:58:45
What an emotional handshake! 😜
Mizuno and Slazenger raquets never took off
I think the era between the 3 heads is the best in tennis history, federer , djokovic , nadal. 👍
😂
Very better tennis
And they didn't have to towel off every point.
Always lendl very very tough to beat except grass
2:58:40 - your serve was way out, Boris! Certainly not worth an overrule.
Unforced errors, lack of first serve etc etc.many errors make life miserable just as ➖
These players would be destroyed now days
i was at this match
Both players had bad manners and sportsmanship especially Lendl.
Miss Lendl's diamond pattern shirts he made popular in the 80's.
