Taking Tavares off of the power play is insane. This podcast is too neurotic sometimes even for a leafs show. Comparing these same guys who have been top 10 for how many years running to the penguins last year after 4 games? Relax fellas. Tavares is elite at finishing in tight, not to mention he’s a plus FO guy. Matthews is elite in his spot, nylander and marner are both elite facilitators , getting oel in there for a few games to force more pucks to the net is a vet coach move but mo will be back there and they’ll be back to top 10 and comfortable in no time. Knies hasn’t been a scorer at any level. Wasn’t even PPG in college. Asking him to be your PP saviour is maniac leaf fan behaviour. As much as I love his game you all need to stop giving this kid so much love in general before the leafs give him 7*7. He’s half the player hyman is. If there’s a bottom 6 contract we should be signing it’s Lorentz 2*5. That said this team looks exactly like the teams who have beaten us for the past 5+ years so keep on injecting the kool aid.
OMG….jets have this great start and this is the comments you give??? Only team without a loss but who cares ??🤨How often have Toronto make it past the first round?? 2018 Jets went 3 rounds in the playoffs….when did Toronto go that far. So typical to just blow off a great Jets start…..cause it’s Winnipeg. 🙏🙏. Couldn’t even manage a word about Littles retirement. Not a big enough name I guess. 🙄🙄 Can the Jets please go on a winning run…….and who is Gary Galley when he is at home anyway LOL
Jets are annually dismissed/ignored by tsn/sportsnet for the most part. Jets have my respect and I’ve respected their ability to construct a complete teams almost year-in and year-out for the past decade. I think they need a deep run in the playoffs this year to garner more attention/respect from the eastern media.
@@donovans. ….ya I get it. And I’m all for them having that deep run this year. It’s just the fact that Toronto hasn’t had any deep runs either. Sure they got their highly paid forwards and all, but in the end they don’t get much farther than a Jet. Thankfully Helly looks dialed in ( yes it’s just 5 games in but he hasn’t won 2 Vezinas and a Jennings for nothing ). I’m also hoping the injury bug stays away and we get Heinola in the lineup somewhere down the road. They seem to have found chemistry in the PP…..need to work on the PK. Let’s keep this optimism going!!!
They just hate Winnipeg. Plus Rogers has stake in both Toronto, Montreal, and I believe also Edmonton, that's why they all get all the coverage. They'll say they like the team in passing, but they are not allowed to give the Jets anything more than 1 or 2 minutes because the Toronto fans can't handle any other team getting any coverage. If the Leafs were off to a 5-0 start, they'd be planning the parade already. Plus the dismissal they have for the Jets is totally made-up. If Toronto had a 2 time Vezina winner in net, and the best Goals against, and finished top 4 in the league, and had the start they did, I don't even what to think about what they'd be saying, you think they gush over their team a lot now? Wow!
