Thanks for the review. Just took delivery for a 3000 legalis as a backup reel for saltwater use. Hopefully avoiding direct water exposure and rinsing will give it a good lifespan! Do you know which JDM model is closest to the US BG?
Thank you very much! Yeah we'll see how it goes for the long span usage :) If you refer to the US BG MQ, the 2022 Caldia SW is the closest one as mostly the same but with EVA round handle and better shaped bail wire. You can watch our review of this reel if you are keen :) If you refer to the prevous US BG with gold and black, the 2023 BG SW is almost the same one.
I agree, that's really nice cost effective reel for sure :) Oh yeah I understand that, we were surprised how thin it is, it becomes like SHIMANO's one.
I've owned this reel for 3-4 months now and I have to say it certainly feels cheaper than earlier models due to the very thin bail arm. It has very low resistance when reeling in and this might be due to the very light rotor, which is not necessarily good or bad. Apart from that it works great and has a loud drag sound compared to similar models which I enjoy. Thank you for another good review.
Thank you for sharing your opinion! I admit the bail is really thin, interestingly it's even thinner than one-piece bail models, which is very close to SHIMANO reels, which is called "AIRDRIVE Bail" from the official.
If this is for light use on inshore saltwater, then yes you can use it. We would just recommend to rinse saltwater off well after use and dry under the shade.
Thank you :) Unfortunately Fuego is not in JDM models so we can only see from specs but Fuego has 1 extra ball bearing in the spool, but Freams has more variety of gear ratios. Overall, they look very similar and not much difference to me :) The extra bearing can be a little extra smoothness of the drag but personally I don't think it's something you can literally feel.
@@jpfishingtacklenews195 thank you. Asking because freams is cost more than fuego. And i dont see difference . Same is with ninja and revrose which cost a few dollar more. And it is just a color difference. Thx
@@ivanvedris9636 I know, totally understandable. DAIWA reels are pretty close, especially if they have the same / similar structure. To me, I would think of Fuego over than the Freams if the gear ratio is matched to what you want :)
We are sorry if the voice over is not clear enough. To be honest we do need music from our experience and analysing, but will definitely consider to have less volume for future work :)
Great "non-bias" review with loads of information about alternative options. I like this channel more and more
Thank you very much! Non-bias is one of our theme at least trying not to.

Nice reel. Much prefer the black and gold but hate the thin bail arm

@ also is it just me but I like having a folding reel handle for storage and traveling

Please stop and remove the music it makes hearing what your saying annoying and is not needed
I have no issue hearing anything, maybe an alternative is to turn it down a touch.
