"WHY ISN'T THIS JORDAN SNEAKER RESELLING?!" I was a sneakerhead before it was popular and resellers ruined the game. #1 The shoe is overpriced.. Nike needs to check themselves as the price point continues to rise. #2 Everyone is getting tired of being ROBBED by resellers.. Retail or bail!! Adults got bills.. My budget doesn't have room for nonsense.. I have a mortgage.

Well said man. Luckily we as consumers have options, specifically when it comes to options with Nike and JB releases. These were an easy pass when it came to deciding between the much bigger releases of the year. For instance, I passed on the DMP 6’s. I still have a healthy pair of infrared 6’s and with the releases of the Fire Red’s and Flint’s on the horizon. I didn’t need the DMP’s just to have them. I’m also tired of the price hikes as well. Especially if the hike isn’t justified by use of more premium materials. Same shoe, different colorway, give us 10 more dollars...🙄
Price point. Had they released at $175, they would've flown off shelves and the resale on them would've likely been the retail price of $225.
most 4 is selling around that price before they discount around that but the resell would gone to hell afterward.. it just how nike do business.. they don't need to competely sold out shoe every week...
Especially materials (wich are nice btw) and the wrapped midsole and the fact it's an air max 95 inspired colorway 225 isn't that surprising actually I was worried that they would be more than 225
@@campkira Nike's sellout rate is abysmal these days because prices have gotten far too ambitious. Recently, they're placing premium prices on EVERYTHING.
The effect of that is that nothing sells on release day because resellers don't see profits.
Those bricks go on to crowd back rooms and wind up being majorly discounted. That's not good for Nike's bottom line.
They need adopt a tiered-pricing system.
$150 for run of the mill, non-limited GRs
$175 for new colorways, special releases
$200 for limited highly-anticipated drops
$225 for collabs, highly-rated OG retros
These would've fallen under that $175 range for me. At that price, they don't brick and there is headroom for resellers.
Look at the recent discounts on the shoe. They're right at $175.
@@rolandsnaglis6302 I can understand the temptation to place a premium price on them due to materials, but the hype wasn't there to match. It's a concept shoe that's new to the market. If they aren't co-branded with another company, they should be $175.

1: millions of Americans are out of jobs and barely got enough to pay for rent
2: the sneaker game is 80% resellers at this point, barely making it in hands of collectors. They dictate what sells out
Resellers gonna figure it out and their cash flows gonna stop once they can't get rid of the last kicks they bought up. Although we got a lot of dummies out their with $1200 on them right now.

Resellers don't dictate anything for me.. If I like a shoe.. I pay retail.. If not I go Goat or StockX.. If not.. I get a replica.

My girlfriend copped a pair for me as a surprise. At first I thought they were whack until I got them in hand. They are fire. Well put together. I lace swapped with neon laces
You are right about the quality. I pulled the trigger on release day and felt like... damn! 225? I instantly forgot about that price in hand. I found some black/smoke reflective laces online. 🤔I think I may switch out. Enjoy your pair my guy. Be safe out here. ✌

My very first pair of Jordans. Wearing them out day by day, and loving it.
These are great and they fit with almost any clothing. Probably I'm gonna cop another pair. I like also the idea behind it, to switch colorways from one sneaker model to another could bring us some really dope releases in the future.
4’s being my all time favorite, I should have these to wear

I think you hit on the reasons these are sitting.
PrIce plays a big part but also what I call “Retro Release Fatigue”.
They really are a good looking pair but in 2020 I would expect most non “OG” and non-collab releated Air Jordan retro’s to sit.
I personally haven’t bought a Non OG cw since the Joker 3 in 2013. #RockWhatYouLike

I copped on day one since the pics released. I'd double up when the price drops below retail a bit more. $240 with tax was worth it. The quality is on point. Color blocking is legit. And it's on a 4 silhouette. Can't lose. Doubling up for sure.
10/10. Fan of it. Also nearly bought this and the air Jordon 6 DMP yesterday when they were in stock. Now sold out. Should be copping both this model and air Jordon 6 DMP after the corona outbreak and back to work. Need to keep the $$$ for basics right now

Love this Shoe and glad I pulled the trigger early. This release reminds me of when the What The 4s dropped. No hype, plush material and most likely i don't see the price dropping anytime soon because those on feet are gonna start turning heads when we can all go mingle like a single Pringle. 4s have been sitting at my local foot locker warming up the shelves. Cool Grey's,Fiba's,Winter joints, The black cat 4s and even these joints are just collecting dust
This was my last "in-store" cop. In fact, the only reason I why I paid full retail was because the day they released, all the stores in my state were scheduled to close for quarantine on that Monday. I needed one last moment of instant gratification before going into quarantine mode.

When they first leaked almost a year ago, i knew i needed to have parts. The concept was executed very well, and the materials are excellent. These will look great with age. So glad ppl hated on these. These and the obsidian 1’s are the best non collab Jordan’s in years

Copped TWO PAIRS. They look clean on feet and on hand. Its around 140$ here in the Philippines. The premium suede from top to midsole of the shoe is this J4’s BEST aspect. Suede in terms of material is DURABLE and isn’t prone to creases. Overtime, the paint chip issue of J4’s is also avoided too due to the leather of the midsole. Stay safe!

I really like this model, but I’m quite hesitant with copping another jordan4. Last time i copped jordan 4s was the alternate89 colorway, and my pair did not age well. The “wings” on the sides were ripped off and i mean all off them. Same goes with the “tail”. It seems as though the rubber on those parts decayed along with the presence of the stitches thats why they ripped so easily.
If anyone could tell me how they could’ve been prevented i might consider buying another pair of 4s.
I had to get a pair and they are fire!! A tiny bit too much padding on the sock liner but that is my only critique apart from that they are visually 10/10
Funny story about the 95 air max neon. I got a pair literally within a few weeks of them dropping when they were new. I was a junior in high school and I remember everyone saying it was so bright and a crazy looking sneaker. I loved it from day one and have owned more than one pair. One of my favorites ever. I wasn’t sure about this colorway on the Jordan’s but it looks better than I thought it would. The quality on the bottom of the shows doesn’t look great for 225 but that’s not a major issue.
That 225 had me on the fence so I paused on release day. There are so many releases that if you dont catch me on release day, I just keep it movin on to the next week/release. I rarely double back for anything.
agree on them being highly underrated and fire. Bought at launch and didn't care for the price. Repurchased during sales and have worn them a bunch already

They are fire. And you can find some pairs below retail on StockX, but with their fees and taxes, basically about the same as retail. People that haven't lost their jobs should be scooping them up.

Copped mine from Lap Stone for $167 _after_ tax and shipping. They aren't reselling because they're sitting. They're sitting because they're $225 when so much heat dropped in the early part of the year + when Corona hit, folks tightened the belt immediately. If Corona hadn't hit, by this time next year resale would be $300+. Materials are premium(for a Jordan).

I finally copped my pair on sale. I though $225 was a bit high but the suede on it is gorgeous.I get why they're that price. It's a kick ass shoe. I thought JB did a great job combining the air max and the 4. Love the hints of the neon. I love how they split the "jordan flight" colors on the tongue the way they did the neon 95s.. I love that Nike Air on the tab was small just like on the 95s. I give it a 10. Sorry Buckets. Love them. I've worn mine a lot and I will say, EVERY TIME I wear them, I get stopped and complimented on them. People griped about the price, but folks will easily EASILY pay $225 for another yeezy colorway?
