I was lucky enough to meet Randy and his lovely wife in 2003, he came to see his mom and his brother. They lived in a small village in Cornwall. He was offered loads of contracts etc. He turned them all down. He suffered from really bad from stage fright. But if you Google some of the most beautiful songs in the world. He wrote so many top hits for people like Dolly Parton and others. Very well loved in the background. He wrote beautiful songs. The man was such a special person, truly lovely and his family. He wrote the song on the steps of a house on the cliffs in Looe, Cornwall. He was persuaded to release it. His nerves were terrible and he chose to write music and songs for others. He did sing for me as a birthday present and got a standing ovation. No body knew who he was, just me and his wife on a karaoke machine. Such a great loss. Thank you if you get to read this. I have amazing memories of them both.

A true music lover like you will give everybody an honest listen, regardless of who the artist is or from what era. Too many of today's young people just listen to pop or just rap, what a waste to not open your mind to the great music from the past. Really nice. Back then, a song was trying to say something other than “impulse buy me for $1.99.”

Randy was fantastic. He also wrote many hit songs for other acts, one of the most famous was "I Guess it Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes", which the Oak Ridge Boys took to the top of the charts. You'll love that one also.

Randy wrote this song a few years after the death of his father. He moved to England with his mom and was inspired while there and wrote such a beautiful ballot, sadly Randy died the same age as his father did. This song was written for his father. Very touching song. Love it. A true Gem....

One of my favorite older songs!! I have this somewhere in my apple playlist. It is a very soothing song. I’m glad you like it. It’s how he sings it, his vocals are spot on but the music is so nice. I love seeing someone younger, liking stuff I grew up with. I also wonder the same thing....How could someone have such a good hit song and then they never do anything after that?

I felt he was expressing how he was feeling of a loved one who may have pass away. No letters. Not being able to stand in the way. This loved one was going home. Thank you for being open minded. You have a great show expressing the thoughts of yesterday. Keep doing what your doing for those who cant speak but deliver a message. God bless you .
