One of my favorite older songs!! I have this somewhere in my apple playlist. It is a very soothing song. I’m glad you like it. It’s how he sings it, his vocals are spot on but the music is so nice. I love seeing someone younger, liking stuff I grew up with. I also wonder the same thing....How could someone have such a good hit song and then they never do anything after that?
I felt he was expressing how he was feeling of a loved one who may have pass away. No letters. Not being able to stand in the way. This loved one was going home. Thank you for being open minded. You have a great show expressing the thoughts of yesterday. Keep doing what your doing for those who cant speak but deliver a message. God bless you .
It's so awesome you did this one! I cannot tell you the times I cried while listening to this one. This one and I Go Crazy by Paul Davis. Sad times, my friend. But still love to listen.
I'd forgotten this song existed but remembered every word lol! (Adding it to my playlist before I forget again!)
Another fabulous one hit wonder is Chevy Van by Sammy Johns!

Great choice to kick off One Hit Wonder Wednesday. I remember this song and another OHW released about the same time called "Chevy Van" by Sammy Johns. You might want to check it out.
This is one of my favorite songs. I think it is a masterpiece. Dolly Parton has sang a cover of this song.
I use to, still do, love this song!
I love the Zither in it.
This song has always made me choke up inside.
He was inspired to write "Just When I Needed You Most" by two events: his old car, that he loved and used for years, broke down on his way to work in Denver, Colorado, and he experienced a "devastating" breakup with a girlfriend.
Yep.... This song has stayed with me since 79.... Thanks for the reaction ❤️
You did this a year ago ...killing it, that's an auto harp with that angelic sound
