I have been in a wheelchair since i was 18. T11-12 incomplete spinal chord injury. No movement or feeling below the waist. Got married at 22. Had babies at 25, 27 and 32. Three beautiful healthy baby girls all via c-section. I'm a stay at home mom right now taking care and raising my family. Just because you have a disability or impairment doesn't mean you can't be a wonderful and present parent. Congrats to you two and may you be blessed with many more :-) You can do what you set your mind to and do it well.
I'm a bit late to the channel, but congrats on everything you two, especially the little guy. May your lives continue to be blessed as you spend your lives together as a happy family. Be well and cherish your love of each other and your son.

Okay Jerry rig, maybe wait until your wife is done giving birth to try the water fast. I'll be back I'm 9 months to continue spamming. Buy a hyperbaric oxygen therapy and do some research in the mean time. Being healthy is useful even if it's just for the hell of it. Everyone needs to be water fasting and using hyperbaric oxygen chmabers on the regular to avoid all kinds of health problems.

About the chickens, they have calcium deficiency, they are not cannibalistic. Next time you guys cook eggs,save the shells,bake them in your oven,crush them and mix them with the chicken's food. They will stop eating their own eggs. My grandmother used to do that. Good luck with everything guys and Congratulations once again

We give ours cuttlefish husks that we find on the beach. Plenty of calcium in those.
I heard the chicken are low on iron that is why they eat the eggs. Not the whole egg just the shells. Like others said feed the shells from eggs You have eaten to them.

hey, if the chickens are eating their own eggs it means their not getting enough calcium. Try feeding them their own eggshells as a suppliant. Btw try feeding them some salt as well, that can help too.

Your local farm supply shop should sell bags of crushed oyster shells. Mix a scoop in with their normal feed, and that'll work wonders for their calcium.
My grandmother used to give "oyster shells" to her chickens. I put the name in quotes because it's a literal translation, it may well have been oyster shells, but they were shredded.
I still remember the time when Cambry was introduced as "just a friend", but I think we all knew she was much more than that

Congrats on baby Cyrus! The best way I’ve found to grow potatoes is to use a grow bag, like you would for tomatoes, but rather than putting them flat, stand them up on their end, you can easily empty them out and you can put multiple plants in there. And if when you plant you roll the top down, when they grow you can in roll it bit by bit and add some more soil, which helps them grow better

Congratulations ! Very happy to see other families gardening . I canned a lot my stuff to save money make homemade noodles and dumplings to freeze . Feed your chickens egg shells with clam shells you can get a bag of it from CO -OP agriculture mash mixer with your chicken feed it helps harden egg shells and keeps chickens from eating them. If you like to canning their is a book on how to can food out of your garden . Their some stuff you can’t canned in bath water it cause for a pressure cooker on some veggies or you can freeze them in zip lock bags. All your food scrapes not bones could be feed to chickens. Pumpkins only last so long . Have a wonderful day enjoy the little bundle so cute.

I absolutely love your garden, im making one of my own and you gave me a lot of cool ideas. Chickens do eat their own eggs, they need the shell for calcium, otherwise their bones get really weak. Its not a weird situation its perfectlly normal. We were not suposed to take the eggs away from them.. Hope everything is well with your lovely family.

I had a chicken which kept eating her eggs, someone suggested to fill an egg with spicy sauce and let that chicken eat it just like normal eggs. My dad actually did it. Poor chicken lmao

Considering how unpredictable rainfall is gonna become over the next years, I'd really recommend you add a layer of mulch to your raised beds, to avoid water loss through evaporation. It makes a serious difference! I use it on my potted plants on my balcony and they can go a whole week in the summer without watering :)
How do you know what rainfall will be for then next few years ....weather man can't get what going to happen a week from now right
There’s a couple issues with mulch. One issue I notice is it tends to attract a lot of wasps who are constantly looking for dead and rotting wood as building material for their nest. They do this by chewing up the wood and using their gluey saliva to create their nests.

Re: basil ... I'm taking the easy way out. Here in the UK you can buy potted basil at the supermarket for dirt cheap. I then separate them and transfer to the planters. Propagating basil from seeds is something I've never mastered.

Hi, i'm a Agronomist, and i can help you: Chicken eating their own egg is a signal of calcium deficiency, you can add oyster shell powder or a little bit of limestone to the their food, this will supply calcium to them and will stop the problem. :)
For the "white fungus" problem on the leafs, probably powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca fuliginea), you can apply Bordeaux Mixture, its composed of copper sulfate, water and lime, you can search a lot of videos about. It's a very good fungicide, and at least in Brazil, allowed in organic agriculture.
You can use Bordeaux Mixture as a preventive in a lot of cultures, but not while flowering, because it can drop the flowers and reduce the yield.
