I play solo and I can’t seem to grasp the way you move around the board 😢I know I would love it if I could figure it out. I love Expeditions and it easier playing a solo game.
So in the beginning, most factions are stuck on the first 3 hexagons next to their home base. Once you unlock Riverwalker, your mech's and your hero can move across water to specific resource hexes. Your workers are never able to cross water (unless you are the blue faction). You only ever move one hex (adjacent) at a time until you have unlocked the +1 movement bonus under one of your mechs. Most factions have to go around lakes. Workers can move one space at a time between land connected hexes or can ride along with a mech. I know that is very basic, but hopefully it helps.

Left out….I meant Scythe is hard to learn to move solo. 😊
