I saw Penetration though out the late 70s many times. Edinburgh, Glasgow strathclyde university. (there was a riot as this gig) Leicester. Newcastle. Peterlee. Manchester... when i saw them at Newcasltle City hall Coming up for air Tour I was down the front and it was winter and being from Scotland I was wearing a Red Tartan scarf. I threw my scarf at Pauline and she picked it up and wore the tartan scarf for the rest of the show and there is a famous picture of her wearing my scarf on a live album. Penetration were there at the beginning. I remember the day I heard Dont Dicate there first single on John Pell. Thank you Penetration for being part of my teenage rebellious youthful years.
Watching those kids loving the song makes me so happy. Just want to say they will be my age now (58) and i bet just like me they still love the tunes. Bless you all !
I swear Penetration came into my consciousness when I saw them do Danger Signs on this show. It would have been a few months after this show. Have I just imagined this?
Thanks for the upload! Just went to Amazon ti buy their last album (bit late I know), and thought I'd check for new uploads of old vids of them, and found this brill one, one of my fav tracks. Cheers matey, you are a star.
I'll have a listen to your new song, Neale Floyd! Anything for a fellow Mick Ronson fan. Always liked your look. Loved Penetration then, still do. Still got the Explorer you're playing here? P.S., any chance of a tutorial on the rhythm guitar to this song? Apologies for boring on.
+neale floyd You're on the "A Better Memorial For Mick Ronson" page, aren't you? My memory's going, Guv - I meant to type Destroyer instead of Explorer in the first place! Shoulda gone with my instincts... Ibanez Destroyer. I remember Captain Sensible playing an Ibanez Iceman once.

Still fantastic.
So in love with her voice
WE had so much good music in our day.
Every month it seemed another fantastic single came out. 1979 is my favourite year in music. A brilliant time to be 16 years old!
you lucky bastards :-)))
Pauline was a wee stunner in her day.......
Great song, great performance from a scandalously little mentioned band.
