    Man Utd fan here, He totally down plays his own ability as a player yes he was hard as fuck and a enforcer but he was also a very creative player his passing range was unreal as was his long range shooting as well as the volleys and he dictated the play and tempo as well it actually winds me up when people gloss over his ability.

    Grahame did a cracking job at Blackburn, to beat spurs in the league cup final, Grahame instilled great belief in his team, and they went out and won it.

    When i first started watching Liverpool he was bossing our midfield... This guy made opponents shit themselves..Literally... Hard as a brick outhouse but with the passing range of a complete maestro and a thunderbolt of a right peg.. 5 leagues and 3 Europeans cups...Enough said.. ABSOLUTE GENERAL..YNWA

    I don't give a toss, but when he was playing for Liverpool he was the best defensive mid-fielder in the game. He could do everything, he was skillful and hard as nails. End of story, how he never won the European Footballer of the year now the Bollocks de yawn once is a tribute to UEFA's snobbery.

    • @100geemo78
      @100geemo78 6 лет назад +7

      I do agree but an even bigger travesty was the fact that Dalglish never won the European Footballer of the Year. He was only nominated once - bloody out of order !!

    Irish Liverpool fan here. I know Sousness has done some questionable things (that's polite), but I always enjoy listening to him and he strikes me as honest and very thoughtful. Hugely important player for Liverpool and he might not have got the awards recognition for that, but the fans were never in doubt about it.

    Such a complete player, just a shame he couldn't lead Scotland to greater heights. Fair enough it's a small country, but with the players they had then it was within reach. And wish he'd been given the Scotland job in 2008, certainly couldn't have done any worse than George Burley.

Zico, Laudrup, Platini, Dr Socrates and the 82/86 brasil teams, Baresi, Passarella, Maradona etc. Now they could play and mix it up to. Not like todays fairycakes rolling around like they'd been shot by a sniper!!! Yes you Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar🙈. And he's highly intelligent and a diamond geezer!!! @SMC01ful 6 лет назад +2

      Hmmmmm, I've sat on the fence about his management. His over-confidence which enabled him to be the worlds best def-mid of his era didn't always translate into on-field strategy and tactics. Nevertheless, he still won quite a few things as a manager. Moreover, he did bring in a lot of new training and diet-related stuff now common in British clubs. I think the consensus is he "could" have been a good manager.
